Very good for an indie game. It’s simple, but really entertaining. The felling you get from going through all those track, each with unique styling and themesong - it really gives you chills :D. I hope this “arena mode” will get developed further, I also hope for new levels in the future ;).

This game is innovative and fun whilst playing with your homies and has potential grow and be even better than it already is. Crack open a cold can of pepsi and enjoy! Big ups to the creator who made this.

Well now… this is certainly a strange one. Now, I’ve been a fan of Phr00t’s games for a long time now, and have played most of them. Going into any of them, I know to expect some surreal procedural weirdness, which is something that I really like but that most developers dont seem fond of doing (which is a shame). I can think of only a few that are willing to make this sort of thing. Phr00t though is one of them, and this game doesnt break the trend of creative bizarrity.

How do I even describe this one? Okay. So, think of Smash Bros, right? Nintendo’s wild fighting game, where instead of smacking your opponent until they pass out, you try to knock them off the stage to score a KO. Well, it’s like that, except in first person, and you punch eyeballs, except instead of punching you sorta throw rocks kinda? And it’s all procedural and you have an inventory. Sometimes there’s a boss or you solve a riddle, because why not.

Eximius: Seize the Frontline

Eximius: Seize the Frontline

In late 2017 I came across a RTS-FPS hybrid genre, it has been sometime since an actual development of a video game in this genre and pretty rare too. I soon found out who the team behind who design and craft out this game. I wanted to helped out and so I did as a volunteer community testers in the early days of EXIMIUS.

I loved C&C Renegade and this game was like the missing puzzle in C&C Renegade where it was suppose to have RTS-FPS hybrid. It was heavily inspired by Battlezone II and the cancelled video game called “Tiberium”. I myself was also a modder , knows that making a video game or a mod is require a lot of resource & manpower. With constant Q&A and R&D is not easy

Explaining the game

Eximius is an asymmetrical 5v5 team-oriented game that combines both the FPS and RTS genres. Unlike most hybrid games that are simply either an FPS with RTS elements or visa versa, Eximius implements both genres equally and in their entirety.

The RTS side of the game implements all of the features of a traditional RTS game like base building, training units, researching upgrades, using unit and commander based abilities along with map and resource control. There are 3 resource types the commander utilises: Credits, Energy and Supplies. Credits are your standard general purpose currency, they’re used for most things and can only be gained through resource nodes on the map. Energy is the more advanced resource used for upgrades and higher tier units, this can be obtained through resource nodes and commander built power plants. Credits are needed for the use of abilities and some unit upgrades, they can only be obtained through resource nodes. Much like Company of Heroes you can reinforce resource points by setting up, depending on faction, an armoury/mule near the point, this will increase the resource income of that node and make it so the node cannot be captured while the armoury/mule is reinforcing it. Both factions within the game are divided into 3 sub-factions similar to the likes of C&C3 and C&C Generals: Zero Hour. Each sub-faction has unique abilities, units, unit variants and research which allows for a considerable amount of options for the commander. These options are only further expanded by the unique interactions between each unit/ability and the players on the ground.

Initial play-through of all major content in the game took about 4-5 hours, once I started to go for highscores on tracks, my playtime exceeded 40 hours lol

Though rather simple, it is a very polished game in all regards and pretty much nails everything it attempts to do.

+Great Visuals

+Good Soundtrack

+Solid Controls

+Difficult, but not unfair at any point time.

Overall, great game, if you like challenging platformer style games I would recommend this one for sure, especially if you enjoy leaderboard competition.

A really nice and addicting arcade game. It seems very simple at the start. You have a bike with two rotatable color coded wheels and you have to grind rails with the wheel of the corresponding color.

But, as the game progresses, new hazard are added to tracks to increase the challenge. Also, every few tracks you get new bikes that behave very differently from each other, so you have to adapt to multiple playstyles.

The main goal is to reach the end of the track by finding a perfect route. The arcade part comes in the score you get at the end of the track for flips, tricks and combos, and hunting for Diamond trophies can get really addicting. You also unlock 2 bonus missions per track after beating it, giving it some replay value.

My favorite VR game period. If you wanted to scratch a fast pace halo/Quake/Unreal type first person 5v5 shooter itch than this is it. Smooth, fast, and skill really shines. Very active player base from 1 year of an open testing period. Mature competitive league already with streamers and casters covering matches. This is the benchmark of FPS VR Shooter E-sports. Monthly updates and additions with developers who have a good relationship with their users via discord. Highly recommended and is the game I keep coming back to.

This game definately needs more attention from the VR communuity.

A very smooth experience. The guns feel great and the combat is pretty fun.

The Cons.

Feels like a daycare. There are alot of little children that play and it can be frankly annoying.

Hit Detection/ Lag Compensation - This will absolutely make or brake this game. This game is very fast paced many weapons can instantly kill and most of the time the game seems to favor some players over others when it comes to hit detection espically when it comes to dashing out of a firefight, makes it tougher as well because if you die right after letting loose a rocket, or a killing blow the game will just out right ignore it. Weirdly Hyper Dash has some of the lowest pings for servers and the way the game handles damage it feels like it heavily rewards players with higher ping rates.

Many people are looking for a fun, built-for-VR racing game that’s doesn’t require a wheel. Well here we are. You move the wheelchair just like in real life, and you can grab either wheel while turning to drift around corners. The surfaces matter too(you slip more on grass, etc), so that’s why I like to almost call it a wheelchair sim, hah. It ends up being a good workout! I’m into DiRT Rally (off-road racing), and this game gives me the same feeling of adrenaline trying to beat ghost times. There are multiple ghost players on the track with you, and they end up being matched to your skill based off of your best recorded time on that track, so it always feels competitive, even if the players aren’t actually there. Since the time I tested it in Alpha the devs have been active and listening to suggestions and they’re adding more tracks.

You should get a headband things like tennis players wear - those goofy looking things - that will keep you from sweating all over your VR headset.

Buy this game right now it’s ridiculous fun. The developer is great they love interacting with the players.
