Very cool game. The art is simple, but the levels are quite challenging.

I actually really enjoyed this I think it was really cute and I like that you get options to pick that lead to some witty dialogue between the characters. there’s not much game here and the puzzles are child level easy so unless you enjoy a story with some whimsical dialogue this may not be for you. Sadly it seems this game is going to be release in parts I’m excited to see more of it, I just hate having to wait and buy the games separately until the series finishes.Hopefully the game will get some recognition so the creators can increase the budget to release part 2 sooner rather than later. None of the achievements work at the time of this play through.

Jazzpunk: Director’s Cut

Jazzpunk: Director’s Cut

The 1960’s were a strange time, atomic paranoia fueled the cold war as the space race allowed mankind to make monumental leaps forward technologically. Global espionage was the tool with which the cold war was fought as agents from both of the world’s super powers battled for information and technology. Amidst all of this, counter culture exploded and use of psychedelics became a new past time. Jazzpunk uses this period of time as an aesthetic springboard for it’s comedic hijinx and in doing so plays out like an episode of Saturday Night Live with an overarching theme to it’s skits.

Jazzpunk is…well it’s…umm…hmm…

Sitting here having finished the game, I haven’t the least bit of an idea how I’m supposed to describe the bloody insanity that is Jazzpunk. I could say it’s a psychedelic love letter to obscure references; an outrageous consolidation of ridiculous moments and hilarious dialog, brought to life with a bizarre art style and deadpan delivery. But what is Jazzpunk really? Well I guess it’s all of these things and so much more; an barrage of creativity held together by forces beyond our understanding. It’s insane and absurd, and I love it so much.

Kine

Kine

I really liked Kine. It’s a fun puzzle game about moving one or more of three musical instrument characters around what looks like a simple block oriented course. Each puzzle only takes a few moves but it’s not as simple as it sounds because it involves rotating the character and extending their ‘limbs’ to help movement. Movement from one position to another is very slick and its just as easy to revert a move so the game encourages a try and see if it works approach. The music is fun and there is a story which ties it all together.

Quality puzzle game in terms of production value

The most impressive thing for me about this game is the visuals. The comic book art-style is lovely. The music stands out, too, which isn’t surprising in a game where you play as anthropomorphic musical instruments aspiring to be musicians. I did find it a bit too lively and upbeat at times, though, which can be a bit distracting when you’re doing puzzles that require patience and focus to solve, but this is pretty much a nitpick, easily remedied by turning the volume down a bit. On top of that, this is a relatively narrative-driven puzzle game, where the story is told via dialogue by the characters in the form of speech bubbles. There are three characters altogether, and they each have their own personalities! There’s no voice acting in the game, but that is probably too much to expect from an indie puzzle game where a lot of effort has already been put into the visuals and music.

I really like the graphics of this game as well as the phenomenal gaming experience it offers. it’s a very well-built game , with smooth mechanics and also a really nice storyline. I like the fact that it’s not only complex , but also simple. it’s dry , but wet . it’s colorful , but monochrome. it provides a really good time for you and your family. If you’re dealing with the big sad you need this game in your life. I have almost killed my pet cockroach before i found out about this game. I love it eternally and i will worship the My Exercise gods every day from now on. I adore this game so much and i will forever be grateful for finding it.

This game tells the noble story of a young boy, Akashi, as he copes with the loss of his father to a tragic accident involving the menagerie upon their lord’s estate. Akashi spent much of his free time exploring the lives of the various animals and getting to know each one. He loved their company, valuing every minute of the warm and wacky interactions they often presented him with.

One day, his father (who was the caretaker) slipped and unexpectedly fell into the bear tank. Unfortunately, the bear was startled and scared by the man’s sudden presence, and reacted with swift, instinctual retribution. In reaction to his caretaker’s loss, the wrathful lord set out to dismantle the menagerie and sell it off, piece by piece. Crushed by the loss of his father, Akashi simply could not bear to lose his animal friends as well. So he did anything a reckless 10-year-old boy might do: he released the animals and ran off with them.

Each time I start a new play-through of P&P I feel as if I am going home. There’s this strange comfort I get from it that I rarely have found in other games. I won’t go into it to much now, but the music changes with each scene so perfectly, it fits the mellowness of the colourful art style very well. If I had to sum up Plug and Play in one sentence, that sentence would be “Plug and Play is an emotional, precious tale of romance and strict violence that has the potential to outdo both Life is Strange and Undertale.”

After completing it many months from the start, there are a few notes that come to mind when reviewing it. The first one is this: it is a beautiful story of both the highs and lows for the main protagonist and tackles the main issues that any person will experience in life. Second, as far as the notion of sorrow and pain goes, this story does effectively make you feel every heartbreaking moment that it has to offer. Lastly, despite being long, it draws real relationships and ties with each character you meet and ultimately have you going till the very end.

As I have now actually completed all five episodes of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People: Season 1, I can give the game a proper review instead of just saying that it’s a cool game for attractive people, even though, you know, it kind of is.

First of all, we’ll get this out of the way: Unless you are a fan of the Homestar Runner universe, there is a probability that you won’t enjoy this game. It makes endless references and jokes related to the series that you wouldn’t understand unless you’ve seen some of the episodes in question. That isn’t to say that you shouldn’t buy it just because you might not understand some of the jokes though, either way this game is extremely funny and the humour is very dry, as you would expect from a game where you’re controling Strong Bad.
