With the current build of this game it is uncompletable because of two major glitchs/game breaking bugs

#1 some enemys stand still and can not be attacked

#2 some rooms stay locked after all the enemies are gone

Welp, I did beat it… But I would not recommend other people following in my footsteps. If you want more of my thoughts and to watch the final boss fight, check out my video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOpKxw5XRGk

The procedural generation resulted in very frustrating level traversal and the combat never gets any more interesting than it is in the tutorial. Overall, I’d advise spending your time on better games but this was by no means a complete disaster of a game. It just feels unfinished and in dire need of iteration.

Controls are probably ok, but as my keyboard sucks I personally would want mouse controls or some alternative. Some weapon combinations have bad gameplay anyways due to the keyboard only controls. I doubt it would be hard to add a left click/right click option. Lots of things you need to find out when you play, but some of those things you find out a lot later than you probably should. For instance, whenever you kill enemies, small rings come out of them. These rings are score multipliers, but nothing tells you that. Lastly, every time you hit an enemy, the entire screen wildly shakes. If you somehow get to the boss (which happens as what i remember as 1 million points, and by standing in the center of the screen), you’ll probably die anyways because of how often the screen will shake if you use a fast firing weapon. All in all, lots of bad design/gameplay and the need to find everything out for yourself makes this game annoying for me, but I don’t speak for everyone.

EDIT: (Making the review more helpful)

I found this game a long time ago, back in 2009-2010, this was one of the best flash games I could find, and it still holds up today! Now that the creators are updating the game by adding: New Bosses, Weopons, and even playable characters, most of all, if the $20K goal is reached, then even multiplay would be added! If you like shoot-em-ups, arcade, or space avdenture games, this is a great one to pick up! It’s a fair price, especially once they start updating the game, even though the progress is somewhat slow. My previous 10/10 was mostly bias due to the memories and good times I have so far had, but if it looks fun to you, picking it up is worth it!

This game is one of the best 8-bit shooter games out there for Steam. I actually found this game when I was 9 or 10, when it was still a flash game on many small websites. I was amazed by it’s shooter addiction and gameplay it had towards me, and immediately loved this game from the start. I was actually surprised when I found it on Steam, but not surprised because it’s such a fun game. The graphics and music are really good and match the game up well. The plot’s very simple, but intriguing with the Bros trying to get back to Earth. There’s also a password system where you can go back to a previous point or get ships, which comes in handy when you have to leave your game or get a game over. Only thing I recommend is to make the game longer because it takes about a hour to beat without game overs in one run, but still has lots of replay value when it comes to playing different difficulties. A total recommendation to gamers looking for a good shooter to try, and especially because Pixeljam made Dino Run, another game I love. I hope Pixeljam continues to work on update 1.5 to make the game bigger, keep up the good work.

Well, I certainly wouldn’t pay money for this game. Luckily I picked it up for free. The enemy spaceships that just spawn in null space without warning make it unplayable.

I’ve always wanted to get into the “Shoot ‘em up” genre, and this is the game to play. Can be very challenging, but I’m sure I’ll get to a very high score with a few hours of gameplay. It gets harder the longer you go, but I would want more difficult gameplay.

This game does not have unnecessary graphics and sparkles, very good! 2D Unity particle system :(

The most comedic, addictive shooter ever. I love it. Even though I cannot get past the 10 Waves of Hell, I still play it with hopes of surviving hahah! The cute, deadly robot makes for a funny twist, and the enemies are so determined to destroy you. You can create your own stages, and change colors. It’s super controller friendly, and the weapon selections are pretty good.

Honestly, there’s nothing negative for me to say on Claw Face. It’s just a simple, straight forward game. Kill or be killed.

There’s not much to dislike about the game. I’ve read through the negative reviews, and most of them were complaints about bugs that seem to have been patched out, as I didn’t notice any of them during my time playing. Outside of bugs, people found a lack of balance in the weapons, and while I agree that some are better than others, no weapon or weapon combo is entirely unusable, except perhaps at the highest difficulty. The positive reviews, on the other hand, bring up how fun it is to play this game, try different combos, and watch as you progress through the difficulties. Literally worst case scenario, you don’t like this game and all you lost was the 6 seconds it took to download (if even that) and however much time you spent on it. Best case scenario, you found a new game that is seriously fun to play, and has a lot of potential playtime with different weapons and difficulties. There isn’t any risk, but a lot of reward. Try it!

Good for a short session with a group of friends, Hats and Hand Grenades is a twin stick shooter party game. Your hat is your life, without it a single shot will kill you. Fun to chase down your friends and knife them.

Overall a very good game. It’s a simple but addicting title, and when you add three different characters with their different powers, it makes the characters unique. I also got this game on the day of release and got all of the achievements within an hour. That doesn’t make it not fun though! ^-^ To the author: I hope that you are happy with this awesome game and how popular its gonna get. Also will it be possible to add some sort of 2-3 player online system? If so that would be GREAT. It’s still fun tho. :P 10/10 would reccommend.

TUNNEL DIVERS

TUNNEL DIVERS

Format: + are positive aspects, - are negative aspects, / are neutral aspects

/ Very fast-paced, typically you can dart across a PvP map in a few seconds, and you also maybe have a few hundred nanoseconds to flare a missile

/ High difficulty: most enemies can almost or fully/over kill you in one volley of weapon fire. Combined with the fact that there are plenty of fast enemies, you will die a lot until you learn the game. Even the weakest enemy in the game, Alarmers, their guns can deal dreadful damage or even finish you off if you don’t dodge it enough.

Tunnel Divers is a top down arcade-like shooter in which the player pilots a small spaceship in various locations foighting other players and, in the case of the soon-to-be-added (hopefully) campaign, an evil AI named Watchdog.

So im just gonna make this farly simple and list off some pros and cons.

Pros:

-good controls

-lots of customization

-decent gamemodes

-good maps

-runs incredibly well apart from a few scattered instances of minor lag

-no P2W

-impressively well balanced items

-you don’t have to grind really hard to get good items

BATTLECREW™ Space Pirates

BATTLECREW™ Space Pirates

BATTLECREW Space Pirates is a free-to-play multiplayer combat game that takes place in 2D pinball-like arenas. The game’s most glaring flaw is the paltry amount of content that it offers. There are only two game modes and four character classes, enough for an afternoon of fun before gameplay turns stale and moldy. Players who purchase the Unlimited DLC can play as many games as they’d like, while everyone else is given ten credits a day. Those credits can be exchanged for a single game. It’s a free-to-play strategy that discourages regular play and—spoiler alert for BATTLECREW Space Pirates’s Steam reviews—doesn’t jive with players.

Real player with 23.1 hrs in game

The game itself is good, fun and graphically impressive. Some wierd restrictions and limitations imposed isn’t doing the devs any favours. Stuff like team deathmatch is only 2v2, that’s it. Not 1v1, not 3v3 etc. Gold Rush mode is always and only 4v4. They have 10 maps but decided not to make smaller and larger maps. You can only play 10 times a day then need to rely on token donations from paying members. Serious lack of players and marketing, it’s hard to find humans to play with. Selling tokens to play more than 10 matches is pretty disgusting, and a formula taken from mobile games which is the reason I don’t play mobile games. Really disappointing, especially from the devs who made Blue Estate.

While the game is rough around the edges, the art style, sounds, and spaceship sections are all fairly decent. I would recommend improving the tank controls seen in the hub, the camera after dying in game, some of the animations are slightly broken and could use adjustment, sometimes bullets pass through enemies, fixing some of the subtitles, and some enemies are broken and unfairly challenging. The game overall has some flaws but has a decent base. I would recommend play testing and tweaking.
