An extremely unique game with a concept I’m surprised I haven’t run into before. The game itself is very fun in general with decent graphics, fun game play, and pretty cool character movements. I’m quite curious to see what will become of this game and especially how they will handle multiplayer.

I however do have an issue with the game. Every once in a while when you respawn your character stays on the ground. You can still move around but its impossible to do anything productive. Here’s what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ojQhbwSuKg

ANOTHER EDEN

ANOTHER EDEN

This is actually the 2nd time I’ve started this game. I first played this game on mobile when it first launched on mobile. This was during the launch period when Mariel was considered the best 5star and Toova and Mighty were strong offense. Things have changed a lot since then. I lost my mobile account because they did not have a google link at that time. So I’m literally starting from the beginning.

The only reason I’m willing to do this is because of this game’s permanent content system. All events are retained permanently. For every other gatcha game I’ve ever played, I never see myself as a returning player. So this is the best thing I want to praise about Another Eden. I really like the permanent content and in my opinion, this makes it far better than all the other gatcha games. Just this point alone.

Another Eden is a spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross with some members of the original team (like Masato Kato and Yasunori Mitsuda) onboard, a love letter to jRPGs of the 90s with a modern feel.

The game itself is massive and is similar in scope to live-service MMOs, except Another Eden is a purely single-player 2.5D jRPG. New story content for it is still being released on a regular basis, expanding it even more with each new update.

=GAMEPLAY=

The gameplay here is of a classic turn-based jRPG with random encounters and limit breaks (called Another Force here). The biggest difference from the classics is that this game has gacha mechanics for acquiring additional characters, each of which has their own set of story quests. The amount of stones for pulls the game gives its players is pretty generous though, the pulls contain only characters and nothing else, additional styles or class upgrades for owned characters can be unlocked through farming certain in-game resources instead of pulling for them, and the characters that can be unlocked as rewards for story progression can be quite powerful as well, especially the ones from ‘Tales of’ and ‘Persona 5’ collaborations. Unlike character banners, all the story and crossover events don’t expire (except for the most recent Chrono Cross collaboration, which has a 5-year license, but hopefully they’ll be able to extend it).

Tap Adventure: Time Travel

Tap Adventure: Time Travel

Pretty fun! If you’re addicted to clickers (which I am) and time wasters (which I am) this is another good addition. Repetitive backgrounds (of course) but a lot more diverse than others, and the fantasy & guild heroes theme is actually utulized unlike most clicker games! Very Free, just expect to leave it running a LONG LONG Time. If that’s not your thing? This is not your game. If you’re looking for a total time soak with easy to play in the background of work? PERFECT!

Edit 7/13: Updating to add a ton of TL;DR basic tips

The first thing you may notice about Tap Adventure: Time Travel is the graphics. Whether it’s the character design or the different environments that you end up going to, everything is all very well drawn. It’s genuinely pleasing to look at, especially for a clicker game. Unfortunately, I think this is the only strong point about this game.

Things start out as any other clicker game; you’ll be able to hire a few mercenaries and get through a few hundred levels before you’ll have to time loop. You will have to repeat this process hundreds of times of course, getting a little further each time. You’ll earn more gold, runestones, keys, and manacoins, unlock more artifacts and heroes, and so on and so forth. It’s a typical clicker game.

Ok, so hear me out. In the Phineas and Ferb movie they create a dimensional portal device that sets off the whole movie and they have also created some of the most powerful superweapons known to man. Phineas and Ferb would obviously be able to murder thanos with absolute ease using the arsenal of deadly weapons that give them the power of every single avenger combined, such as a off brand Ironman suit or a potion that is so potent it caused the entire universe to be enlarged. They have even made 2 fighting mechs out of a treehouse that are the size of a building. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. Can’t wait for UpsilonGames’s next game, Hogan’s Castle

It is a quick but fun game. The enemies attack very fast, but the controls are silky smooth and the player’s time manipulating abilities allow for easy maneuvering and attacking. While the primary attack is only a pea shooter, it still gets the job done. Overall, it is very fun, fast game-play, but it just needs a story and maybe some form of customization, but because it is so new, and is labeled as being experimental, I expect updates to be on the horizon.

Time Clickers

Time Clickers

TL;DR: The best of the idle/clicker games on Steam so far.

The infamous casual genre of clicker games emerged on Steam during the year of 2015. Time Clickers was one of the big three, accompanied by Clicker Heroes and Tap Tap Infinity.

I started playing all of them solely because of their supposedly “easy” yet time consuming achievements. Being a simple genre, I will proceed to shamelessly compare it to these two during the course of this review.

Basic features

In all clicker games you get to click a lot or if you don’t like that, develop an idle build or start using autoclickers to do your bidding. Time Clickers is no different in that respect. What sets it apart from other clicker games is the form of MacGuffins, since they are abstract, different coloured blocks that you have to actually aim to click and shoot. By shooting and destroying blocks you get gold that gets you upgrades to destroy stronger blocks. Continue ad nauseaum, or until you have all the achievements.

Time Clickers is a clicker game.

However, unlike other games in the same genre, the player has to shoot things to level up.

That’s the major difference with this production, so far as clicker games are concerned.

Each level has a randomised structure, or structures, of blocks in the middle of the screen.

You shoot them to gain points; the more points you get, the more effective you can make your weapon.

And you can get more weapons as the game goes on.

Every few levels there is a boss level; the difference being that you have to destroy all of the blocks by a set time.

I Super-Sampled The Game at 1.5PD via Oculus Tray Tool And Played On The High Preset. Throughout My Play Through, I Only Dropped Below 90fps While Looking At The Structure Being Built Off In The Distance While Standing Next To The Guy Outside. Other than that, performance wise, the demo ran great. After I began to pick up objects I immediately realized that the game featured dynamic depth of field. And while it’s not perfect, it’s pretty freaking cool! This feature is something we’re expecting to built into the next-gen VR HMD’s but on a physical, more accurate level. In saying that, this software implementation isn’t bad though. After I finish typing this, I’m actually going to go back in there and try to get the three achievements.

This is awesome as for a Free game.

Got myself completely immersed from the first seconds of the gameplay.

The body thing is amazing. I wish it would get some adjustments in the future, but overall this is much better than flying hands.

Locomotion was pretty intuitive and comfortable with my Rift’s touches.

Pressing “B” button allowed me to switch between sitting and standing positions.

I have found the graphics switch on the wall and mid settings worked great for my setup (Geforce 1060). no huge frame drops and pretty good graphics.

Starstruck: Prologue

Starstruck: Prologue

Starstruck is an unconventional rhythm adventure game that harkens back to the glory days of quirky Japanese passion projects from the early PS2 era. Not to say that the game relies on nostalgia, but it has that same intangible charm you can find in games like Gitaroo Man, Stretch Panic and Chulip.

Although cast in the same mold, Starstruck very much has its own identity. The game goes for a miniature aesthetic and it’s used to great effect. The lighting is gorgeous and you can often spot deliberate imperfections like fingerprints in the 3D models that really sell the hand-crafted look. This paired with the sublime composition and sound design— heavily featuring LIVE instruments— culminate into creating an alluring, dreamlike atmosphere that’s simply a joy to take in.

Words cannot describe the sheer delight I had playing this game. It’s really something special.

A friend of mine described it as “A playable rock opera straight off the Dreamcast/PS2” and I couldn’t agree more with that statement.

To me, the world and characters of Starstruck have that kind of magic that, like, a 1970s or 80s children show has. There’s a unique kind of nostalgia that I get from playing this game; it really takes me back to my youth, playing with my Thomas the Tank Engine table set and knocking down the little cutout trees, buildings, and people with my hands.

Greed: Abandoned Dogs

Greed: Abandoned Dogs

The battle itself is fun, but we need more people. Right now there’s not much competition. The concept is unique and as a small tip, hide somewhere near the time machine and when other users are using the time machine to upload the treasures, it’s an easy way to plunder.

There ain’t much players right now, so it’s kind of hard to get in a match but considering that it’s still early access I think it’ll get much better when there are more features added. I think it has potentials to be a great game.

The game is great, will start streaming on twitch soon. The devs should get more players aware of this game.

The idea for the game is there, it just needs the support to get finalized and could become one the best game of the year.

love the game and i can’t get enough.
