Apparently this one was originally developed as a Japan-only side attraction to “Infinite Combate”, another game based on the same anime (which, for the record, I know next to nothing about), but is now playable on its own for free; as you’d probably expect it’s a short trip and has no story to speak of, but not too shabby a distraction otherwise.

Your lady knight main character has a standard shot and a powerful piercing wave which can nullify enemy bullets but needs time to recharge; moreover, at the beginning you select two out of five assist characters which act as auto-firing “options”, though you can only deploy one at a time. Your active companion also determines the effect of your limited-use smart bombs when you let them rip.

Make Me LAG

Make Me LAG

Definitely an interesting game to try. Many games become easier when your pc is better. This is the only game that becomes harder as your processing speed gets higher. Beyond that, I just think it’s neat to see a game which has all of its gameplay outside of the game itself. You can play this game literally any way you want because in order to accomplish your purposes, you need to change your computer’s state, not control the game itself. I thought the description meant that there was actual gameplay, plus you had some sort of advantage if you got the game to lag. This was certainly different. There are literally no controls in the game. Every action happens based on your fps.

Make Me LAG is a free game with a new control scheme. It worked on Win 10, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You have to make the game Lag to perform game moves. You sort of have to figure out how to make the game Lag consistently to actually succeed in this game. Has 5 open steam achievements. Has a timer that you have to beat.

Try it for the steam achievements.

Ended way too soon.

The first cut scene fooled me with its breathtaking artwork and narration. Instead, the gameplay was uncomfortable thanks to the buggy controls and there was no challenge to speak of. This would have been forgivable if the story and artwork had been memorable, and don’t get me wrong, it was—initially. Then the novelty faded, and then the game ended, just like that.

I can’t in good conscience not recommend this, however, because there are glimmers of what could have been a great game. People other than myself might enjoy it, but you should go into this with open eyes.

I’m gonna say this now: The game IS fun. It IS entertaining. I’m giving it a negative review though because it fails to deliver on everything it was trying to do. The voice acting wasn’t good, but it was honest. The game is simple and made well enough. The problem is though, it doesn’t discuss gun violence, suicide, or bullying. It mentions shooting up the school, and sticks a dead body in your living room, which is never explained. The game gives you an illusion of choice, making you think you can get different outcomes. It doesn’t matter what you do, the ending is always the same.

A character orders this for a pizza, I’ll just quote it straight from the game:

“Can I have a pizza with Greek cheese, smoked salmon, black caviar, red onions, tomato sauce, spicy mayo, chili flakes, and banana slices, garlic, kebab pieces, tuna, sausage and scrambled eggs and make it extra toasted”

This game is as bad as that pizza: all the wrong toppings and burned.

If you don’t understand what’s wrong with that pizza order, this might actually be a good game for you.

A pretty fun little game where you take on a rampaging gang of thugs, ghosts and other unsavory folk. Very fun for such a simple title.

This is a game where you are a Kirby who brutally murders other Kirbies to death with Hammers, Guns, Grenade Launchers, Lasers and even Katanas.

This is one of those games which is super easy to understand, yet is very hard to master as I am constantly learning new tricks, maneuvers and ways to play.

Pros:

  • Runs well on lower end PC’s

  • Runs god damn gloriously on my computer, at its worst I get 500 fps… So you will have no problems running it.

  • Cute art style and characters.

  • Fun to play.

Bacon May Die

Bacon May Die

From the makers of Iron Snout (IS), we’re presented with Bacon May Die (BMD), a very similar game design and concept of Iron Snout. BMD is the evolution of IS where the game expands on it’s customization, wacky enemies & physics/mechanics, comes with a 2 player co-op and some other game mode from IS. It’s controls are responsive, visually clean, colorful and well made. The song is a little “funny” that keeps players engaged but can be annoying in the long run. At higher difficulties, it just feels like enemies/your character will ram into each other and you keep losing life. Oh, theres even bosses now. I would rate BMD the same score as I did with IS, a 9/10. Bacon May Die is a wacky, funny, beat em up that is suitable for all ages.

very simple and fun gameplay. Also with a co-op option wich is nice. And it is free and takes 2 seconds to download without any hasle with accounts or microtransactions. so give it a try

The game is fun and nice though its Steam version is glitchy as hell, mostly because of half-assed implementations of many options here and there. You could enjoy it since it is basicaly 8/16 bit Beat’m’up like but you’re warned.

For example you need to launch your Steam under Administrator rights to allow the game install itself (while other games only need Administrator rights for their installer).

Another one is that… Launcher doesn’t show any info since all info is picture-based and you NEED ADMINISTRATOR rights for IE (in other words you’ll need to actualy be under Administrator profile to read the news from Launcher).

Played this way back when Nexon NA was still the publisher and quit due to poor handling of the game. Flash Forward into the future and now the game is being published under its actual developers Neople who clearly know how to take care of this game.

Gameplay is simple. Its a arcade side-scrolling beat ‘em up type game with gameplay mechanics similar to that of a fighting game like Street Fighter. Skills in this game can be activated on input such that as a fighting game or traditionally like MMOs where you do skills on a set skill slot that is activated on the hotkey you set for it. The classes in this game are all unique in that some of them advance to do completely different roles. For example, the female mage advancing to become a Battle Mage which changes her whole playstyle into melee focused dps as opposed to one of her other class advancements such as Elementalist which is focused on bursting down enemies with ranged magic. The level progression is imo pretty fast. The game has a heavy focus on its endgame progression so leveling up from 1-90 per character should take you about 2 weeks or more depending on how invested you are in playing. Since this game uses a fatigue system. If you wanted to keep playing for longer periods of time. You would most likely need to make a new character as each character has their own separate fp bar. You will be able to learn more about the other classes by doing this which may help you decide on who you want to main.
