Mistress of Maids: First Castle
Gotta say, this game is both unique and fun. I’ve been playing it for a good while, and the no HP combat system works very well. It’s faster paced than more Rogue likes, but didn’t really sacrifice much depth.
Visually, I find the castle setting more appealing than the dark caves you usually get in the genre. Though I will admit the game could benefit from a tad more variety.
As of this review, the abilities aren’t all that balanced, as some are pretty much useless. There’s also no sound effects or music. Expect these issues to be resolved in the future.

A lovely little morsel of a roguelike. You pick one character from a selection of 3 - warrior, thief, or wizard, each with a single unique gameplay mechanic - and traverse a maze in search of a key to take you to the next level. Along the way you encounter treasure and single-use items that enhance gameplay, beacons to light up the world, traps, and enemies. There is an xp collection mechanic. Levelling up increases your hitpoints by 1. For every hit you land on an enemy, they land a hit as well, so to beat them in an encounter requires you to have more hitpoints. If a beacon is activated, the surrounding zone of the maze is lit up; traps are made visible, certain types of item-giving blocks are activated, and enemies are turned into a cute collectible. Activating beacons however become a very strategic action later on when you encounter an enemy that is actually woken up rather than eliminated by light. Most levels seem to have two exits, so it adds a meta-game exploration aspect to the game (from my experience, there is no way to go back to previous levels).

A classic adventure fairy tail genre with a bodygaurd called Tama who is the main character and a princess called Koko romance, Koko is then slain and Tama defies gods in search of the taboo powers of necromancy to bring her back from the dead!! Its heartfelt and is driven by a sense of loss and desperation of Tama.

TL;DR
I really enjoyed the content so far. I’m actually surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
Overall, It’s a fun romp to jump in and out of. Casual yet demanding. Just the way I like it. I’m looking forward to the main game and new monsters. I can imagine the difficulty will increase as you progress which is both scary and exciting.
I don’t understand why some of the bad reviews are complaining about it being stiff or slow in terms of combat. It has a particular style that requires some thought, management and timing of when and how to use monsters and combos, but that quickly becomes second nature after 10-20 minutes in.

SYNTHETIK: Arena
Synthetik: Legion Rising is an extremely addicting game that I highly recommend if you like sci-fi, arcade-style shooters and online co-op.
Not sure if you want to try it? This game is basically a free “reduced” version of it. Not as addictive, but still amazingly fun. Even though i bought the main game, i still occasionally play this for a bit. Your progress is even shared between the two games!
The main game has one long gamemode that can last up to 30-60 min on average, but this game has 5 arcade-style game modes that only go up to maybe 10-30 min. But that’s if you don’t die, any run can end in literally a minute if you’re reckless at the start. This game is hard, but there is a very unique difficulty customization system.

As someone who found about about this series from this Arena game type, I can honestly say it’s compelled me to get involved. I’ve joined their dsicord, pestered multiple friends into getting it, and have had tons of fun.
Now for the review:
The TL;DR is that is has mechanics that are new. The reloading, difficulty based on what modifiers you select (sort of like halo skulls) and classes and game types. Each class is viable and combinations can come up with some crazy stuff. Top-Down, player leveling but run based rogue-like. You earn passive upgrades but each run is different. It’s free, worth a try, and it has a high skill floor with low learning curve at first.

Vectrix
Well, I certainly wouldn’t pay money for this game. Luckily I picked it up for free. The enemy spaceships that just spawn in null space without warning make it unplayable.

I’ve always wanted to get into the “Shoot ‘em up” genre, and this is the game to play. Can be very challenging, but I’m sure I’ll get to a very high score with a few hours of gameplay. It gets harder the longer you go, but I would want more difficult gameplay.
This game does not have unnecessary graphics and sparkles, very good! 2D Unity particle system :(

LET IT DIE
I found out about this game while looking at random people’s broadcasts. And i’m glad i got to know about it! It’s released for PS4 about 2 years back and I’m guessing they just port it to PC like a year later?..
Now that said, i’ve only decided to write a review ONLY after about 800+ hrs of gameplay.. yes; 800+ hrs i played this game and only then i’ve decided to say whether it is worth your time/ money on this. This is my in-depth review.

Disclaimer: I actually love this game, but I also love many other games and lying is possibly the dumbest thing anyone can ever do, so I’m offering you my completely honest and objective opinion about the things at hand, which comes from an experienced player and someone who plans on continuing to play this game.
Also, if you like this game, check out the “Elminage” series, “Elminage Original” and “Elminage Gothic” are on steam and you’re going to love them.

That doesn’t happen here. :)

Stoneshard: Prologue
I seriously wish I’d never started playing this. What I presumed was going to be a sample showcasing a game’s potential over the course of an hour or so, turned into a five-hour grind through damn near impenetrable, unfair, procedurally generated dungeons and infuriating gameplay.
In this 2D, old-school, top-down RPG adventure prologue (essentially a demo of things to come), you’ll guide a middle-aged man out from his prison cell, into his vampire captors, and through a dungeon to freedom. But right from the off you’ll hit a barrier. Everything is incredibly clunky and fiddly - whether it’s accessing menus, using items, interacting with objects or even just moving around, nothing is immediately intuitive or flawless, and everything is a learning process.

Stoneshard: Prologue, a free alpha version of the still to be released (at the time of writing this review) full version called Stoneshard. The prologue gives the player a great idea of what the main game will feel like, most likely and hopefully the finished product will be even better. Thanks to Ink Stains for this try-out version.
Only one character is playable, Verren the Seeker, who is locked away in a prison cell and has to escape his fate, in order to eventually retrieve the Stoneshard.

Before reading this, do understand that its being developed by 1 single person and that this game is available for free outside steam, buying it here is simply supporting the dev and unlocking access to it through steam.
The game is a very charming timesink, it looks rather simpistic/minimalistic yet offers a good amount of depth and complexity.
The developer is extremely active as of writing this review, you can easily get a hold of him directly to ask for help or give suggestions in discord and he’ll give you time to actually listen and respond.
