Warframe

Warframe

By looking how much time i have spent in this game, you can realise - this game, if it manages to hook you, will keep you for years.

Instead of bunch of words, i will just go straight to pros and cons.

Pros:

  1. Weaponry. Basically, you can find lots of guns of your liking by just trying them or asking people of how they work and get an idea of how they act and how good\bad they are. Well, since there are around 350 weapons available for you to pick from, you will surely find a tool of death and destruction of your own playstyle: bows and crossbows, rocket\grenade launchers, flamethrowers, machineguns, shotguns, sniper rifles and even futuristic LAZ0R guns. Basically - primary weaponry includes two-handed guns of pure murder, secondary can be either Magnum spewing thingie or just a bullet wind of two machinegun pistols, and melee… From swords, katanas and throwble disks to spears, staffs and two handed maces\axes\swords (LOTS more melee types not mentioned but existent in the game).

Not pay to win

Before I start my review, I want to dispell this notion. Anyone who tells you this game is pay to win is wrong, or lying to you. Most of the good weapons are mastery rank locked and even if you buy things to bypass the grind, you still have to level those Warframes and weapons, you still have to play the game to grind and get mods for your weapons and Warframes to make them actually perform well in end-game content. You’re blindsiding yourself if you’re going to make the argument that this game is pay to win. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get to the actual review.

Bungie are constantly forcing their woke agenda in to the game, they will clamp down hard on anyone who disagrees with their woke agenda. They also charge you for content then take it out of the game. This is not a free to play game, its just free to start. The game is a rip off. Do not buy DLC, it will only get taken away

with the new update, new bugs have arrived that alter gameplay. I have been a long-time fan of this game, but over the 3 games of endless I have played today with the new update, my approval rating has gone down. originally, if you or an enemy threw a grenade, it would be visible 100% of the time from throw to explosion, but now some enemy grenades thrown by ducks will become invisible land mines. I’m not sure this was intentional, but it still occurs. likewise, when a body spills out loot like bounty, ammo, and sometimes scrap, some items' icons will fly down to the bottom of the screen, dissapearing from view, but the item will still in the game, just invisible. also, grenade throwing animations have slowed significantly, and sometimes the ducans won’t even fight the kami, just sitting still until you approach. i would enjoy a fix of these bugs and maybe an increase in drop rate of the new scrap currency, because upgrades are now few and far between, making combat significantly harder.

The very fact that this game is free, there is nothing stopping you from giving this game your time, and trust me, it warrants it. Do you like arcade-style gameplay? Done. Fast-paced run-n'-gun action? Absolutely. Addictive levels of replayability? Triple check. tl;dr at the bottom.

The main plot is easy enough to follow: You’re a Relic Hunter, and you hunt relics. Simple enough, right? One hitch: the asteroid you’re on is teeming with vicious wildlife and cutthroat thugs. The solution? Shoot everything that moves.

Lovely Asteroids update, but as a lifelong Asteroids fan I do have some criticisms.

1. The turn movement is way too slow.

2. Adding reverse thrust has made the game way too easy.

3. The mothership cutscene between each level slows the pace of the game down.

4. Would be nice to have a vector-graphic retro look as an switchable option.

Other than those four gripes, not bad. I like the fact you can play with up to 4 players.

Anarchy: Wolf’s law : Prologue

Anarchy: Wolf’s law : Prologue

Before leaving your review, I want to draw your attention: the game is presented in a demo version.

So, in short, the game is a single-player shooter with RPG elements where we need to capture production points.

I liked the HUD (although I would change the fonts in it to something less angular), I liked how the weapon behaves when firing, but the recoil is not very clear. The weapon shakes all over the screen, but the Y-axis movement itself is rather strange. The terrain in the game is not very well developed in terms of graphics, but I think this is due to the fact that we are playing the beta version.

This is just from the single player side that i have played so far. It reminds me a lot of deadside but harder. The biggest difference between the games is everything is much closer and you are not running for 10+ min to get somewhere to look for something and finally there is cars! Why other large games like this have not put in vehicles still blows my mind.

I had no issues with running the game at all no crashes, stutters, sound problems, controls were smooth ( needs some more customization in the future), from what i could tell hit detection seemed to good but I was only able to get in about an hour so I may update this in the future.

Insula: Bounty Royale

Insula: Bounty Royale

Welcome to Insula

That was the tagline—humanities’ new hope. At least, until they all disappeared, working with a mysterious organization known as Kaizo, you are tasked with exploring Insula and discovering what really happened to all the poor souls that had called this home. To survive that, you will need some serious tech and no small amount of credits.

You know of one way to get that out here. The Bounty Royale, a brutal, mechanized bounty-hunting bloodsport that runs autonomously right here down on the surface of Genesis. To get started, you’ll need to recover and repair one of the light and agile combat exo-suits that were used early on by the security forces on Insula. If you survive, you can use your winnings to start amassing the tech you will need to build your own anthrobot, a fully mechanized combat-ready battle chassis that you control from afar via neural link.

One way or another, your only hope of making it home, relies on solving the mystery of a now-dead Insula. All paths to that end, begin in the arena.

Battle Royale Reimagined

In Insula: Bounty Royale, you play as an Anthrotech, ex-military combat engineers specially trained in building and maintaining the Drakonis Anthro combat machines known as Anthrobots. Recently awoken from stasis and apparently stranded on what used to be a thriving mining colony in the atmosphere above Genesis, you must survive long enough to find out what happened and find a way home.

Insula: Bounty Royale, is the first-ever arena shooter built atop some of the more popular battle royale mechanics, to fully intertwine a compelling and adrenaline-filled story with the competitive PvP arena gameplay. Your base is where the story plays out, segments of solo gameplay will occur to advance your story. Events in the multiplayer arena will feed directly into that story and your character’s progression through it. While the solo story aspects are optional, there is much to be gained by participating in that aspect of the game.

The Arena

In the arena Insula further distinguishes itself. You can compete in person, donning a fully combat-ready exosuit, or from afar using one of the neural link-controlled Anthrobots. The arenas are highly vertical and utilizing fast-paced acrobatic flight capabilities, your tactical options are virtually limitless as literally every inch of play space is traversable and usable to your advantage.

Bounty Royale

The Bounty Royale is a unique twist on the battle royale game mode. When a new match starts, each contestant has a bounty on their head. Outfitting yourself with advanced technology, you must track and hunt down your opponents and eliminate them to collect their bounties. With each opponent you eliminate, your own bounty will increase, making you a more desirable target for everyone else. The other hunters are not your only concern, however, nor are they your only source of earning. There be beasties about in this place, and they are hungry! Lucrum pays a hefty bounty for the extermination of these dangerous creatures as well!

Be warned though, the commotion caused by the competition often draws attention from larger hordes of creatures nearby. It is not unheard of for the contestants to temporarily work together to survive long enough to finish hunting each other.

Custom-Built Your Way

Customize your anthrobots & exosuits with a vast array of armor. Build them big and beefy or light and nimble; it’s your style! And of course, no brand is complete without custom paint jobs, logos, and programmed battle taunts!

Drones And Abilities

Once you’ve built your dream battle rig, finish it off by adding the perfect companion drone. They’ll provide data recording, scan analysis, and resource extraction. They also offer specific skills to use during combat. Armor repair, energy shields, advanced tracking, recon, and even stealth, pick one that’s right for you!

Player Bounties

You’re not just fighting for bragging rights. Bounties are the heart and soul of Insula: Bounty Royale. Each opponent has a bounty on their head. Putting them in the ground means creds in your pocket and creds in your pocket means upgrades! Upgrade your base, kit out your bot, & enhance your lifestyle! Be mindful of your notoriety, though. The more you take, the more you’re worth, and the more others will want to add you to their trophy list!

High-Octane Aerial Combat

You are not limited to just where you can reach on foot, each exosuit and Anthrobot is outfitted with a customizable flight rig. Flight is fast, intense, and acrobatic. High-speed aerial maneuvers allow you to take full advantage of the arena’s massive vertical play space. Play the ground game, or take to the skies, this is dog-fighting at its best!

Private Island Bases

Each player has a private, customizable, and upgradable island base hovering in the atmosphere above Genesis. Your base provides story advancement and lore discovery through seamlessly integrated events and achievements during the multiplayer arena matches. It also enables the crafting of options and upgrades for your gear, not to mention, some pretty cool ways to display your hard-earned achievements as part of the base decor!

An amazing game, you wouldn’t be able to tell that it was a demo! A handful of different ships you gradually discover through the game, an wide array of weapons/abilities/traits to select from. A great top-down space action game. Fly your space ship, dodge shots, and blow up baddies. It’s not a bullet hell game - it’s a race to mine for resources, achieve objectives, and put out fires as baddies attack inhabited planets. I’m a veteran of such games and found this one a fun challenge.

Pick your faction, Rockeneer or Lantender, and battle for control of Mars Marvel City. Strategize with your squad to take over the seven different sections of the city, each with its own vital role and function. Capturing specific areas will directly impact the rest of the round, so keep this in mind when deciding which areas to capture first. The team which controls four sections at once wins the round.

LAST STAND

Overcome your opponents to be the last rover standing and earn a ticket to mine in Exploration Mode.

SPEED AWAY

Enjoy the thrill of high-speed rover racing on a variety of exciting tracks. Show off your driving skills and edge out the competition. Need a boost? You can upgrade and customize your rover to increase your odds of winning!

TRUST AND TRANSPARENCY

The technology we use undeniably offers new exciting opportunities for gaming. Using this technology we are able to produce and distribute valuable assets throughout the world of LandRocker. This presented a challenge for development however – how do we do it without players being able to predict and abuse the distribution system?

The solution – we developed our own Distribution Method which we call “Proof of Location” which uses special calculations to generate and hide the coins without leaving any trace.

This puts all LandRocker players on an even playing field with the same odds of getting lucky while mining. No one, not even us, have the knowledge to predict the coin positions.

Hunt for hidden treasure

Use tickets you earn from playing LandRocker to launch expeditions to beautifully generated worlds rich with hidden valuables. The distribution of the coins in Exploration Mode is done algorithmically meaning their locations are truly unknown, even to the developers themselves.

Play and win games in various game modes to earn Exploration tickets.

Customize your XCAVATOR to mine more efficiently and make the most of the Exploration tickets you earn.

League of Maidens®

League of Maidens®

I picked up this game on a lark; I first learned about it a couple days before the open alpha release, and then downloaded and tried it out because my sense of irony couldn’t let me do otherwise. When I first got to the character creator, I was actually pleasantly surprised - it’s got a lot of dials and knobs you can turn, and you have the freedom to express yourself. Then, when I got past that to the actual game, I was somewhat put off; there were mobile game menus everywhere, and it just screamed MTX cash grab. I pushed onwards anyway, and as I actually played the game, it became clear that a lot of the surface level issues are easily explained away as just amateurish UX design - it is an open alpha, after all.

Real player with 573.9 hrs in game

The game is currently in Open Alpha, but the game isn’t necessarily the reason you should stay away right now. TL;DR at bottom.

This review is a culmination of my personal experiences and opinions.

Gameplay:

The game is considered a “single-player game with some multiplayer elements.” This pretty much just includes a chat, leader boards, a sort of global control map the two factions fight over, and a “world boss threat bar” which fills based on mobs killed by players across the server. The game is very much designed for an mmo style system but due to it being single player, the game has basically one or two different skill builds that actually work. Expect every class, which there are five, to pretty much play the same. The game features currently a short quest line with no paywalls to get through the story/progress. The end game however is just a gameplay loop of farming in game dungeons called “strong holds” which is basically just a series of rooms filled with enemies, and both world bosses and strong hold bosses for various cosmetics and items to craft an end game item called the “gauntlet.” Other than grinding this game offers afk fishing to earn a little income but isn’t necessarily worth it as you get more gold just grinding the strongholds with their increase-able difficulty system. The real end game is just grinding a currency called “shards” earned by killing mobs to buy hats/gun skins/emotes/capes/chokers (cosmetics) and what is called “ascension” gear which is basically just the highest tier of gear which special sub stats designed to boost skills with the classes in mind. Other gear can be upgraded to the same tier as ascension gear but comes with randomized sub stats. This system is flawed for multiple reasons as the sub stats on ascension gear is designed with an mmo play style of roles in mind despite this being a single player game. This is made even worse when you consider the fact each piece is 120k shards which takes lots of grinding to come by, making ascension gear useless except for two classes. There really isn’t much to do at all endgame besides making new characters and getting them upgraded/customizing them. You also have to pay for any sort of storage for excess crafting items or various other in game items and to be able to swap them between characters. This means that if you don’t have the storage you have to individually grind out materials needed for upgrading abilities on each character. You need A LOT of later game materials to fully upgrade abilities and some of them hardly drop at all.
