Impossible Runner
So About Impossible Runners!
1. Controls are hard to master, +but you can control the creature that I call “KWEBdevil” it just takes time and finger-pain.
2. It has easy levels at the beginning, perhaps too easy, and extremely hard lvl’s at the end of its current 10 lvl’s. I would like more middle experience levels.
3. At this point, I played this for about 3-4 hours and still gonna come back. Don’t know if it’s is the winning chance of 1k or that I have a change of improving my gaming in Impossible Runners.

Picked this up when I saw the competition announcement, little did I know at the time that the competition had already been beat, and I had no chance!
That said, it’s not a bad little time killer, and a fun challenge, but the later levels are INCREDIBLY hard.
Not really a lot to say about it, I like the music, the controls are punishing and the physics are crazy.
Check out my play through below, I include footage from both the Steam version and the Android version of most levels.

Mini-Dead
10/10! almost…
This game is AMAZING!
The mechanics of the game are perfect. They are extreamlly simple yet they have an infinite skill floor. I don’t think many, if any game managed that so well. The boss fights are great and the music is good.
The game for it’s price, free, is good enough, length wise, but when I look at it I just see wasted potential. For me this simple mechanic can carry a whole game behind it’s back. A small story mode ala Undertale can introduce and let the player practice and experiment with the mechanic and a main roguelike mode where the player will develop and improve his skills. As I said the mechanic feels like it has an infinite skill floor all while being VERY simple and VERY fun. The skill growth a player can achive here would be insanly satisfying, but for that to happen a randomized level generator with both monsters and bosses would work amazing. For me this can easily become game of the year and far surpass something like Binding of Isaac if done correctly.

This is a very fun game! The game mechanic is unlike anything that I’ve played before and while confusing at first, it’s very easy to pick up and understand. While short, it’s worth playing! There isn’t any replay value, unless you want to play the same bosses again, but it doesn’t need it. A very fun game to waste a couple hours on!
SPOILERS HERE
What I would say, however, is don’t play the final boss which is a combination of all three main bosses. It’s not worth it. While the bosses on their own feel fair, balanced, and easy to understand with some practice, having all three together is a nightmare of luck. There is of course some skill involved, (knowing boss patterns and paying attention to their tells), it is luck on what attack happens when since many times the attacks will take up the majority of the screen with only tiny slivers of safety to go to. You need lightning reflexes to know exactly where to go and it’s a pain. Not worth it. Otherwise, play the game! Highly reccommended!

Sphere Frustration
Sphere Frustration * 6/10
Keeping things simple and revisiting in a modern key. That’s what Sphere Frustration does as essentially uses PacMan’s mechanics with a more modern design.
INTRO & GAMEPLAY. What is Sphere Frustration about And how does it work?
The game is pretty simple. You are a ball, you roll around to collect a determined number of… Rocks I guess. Meanwhile a human is chasing you and if he/she reaches you it’s game over. That’s pacman essentially, but it’s fine. There are a bunch of modes to play with:

Sphere Frustration is an Arena based collection game.
In this game you must collect items to reach the limit before the Human catches you. And when he does, its game over!
Sphere Frustration has a variety of Game modes. From Survival to split screen, and I have to say that those game modes are fun. And for 1$ you get this much content is amazing.
This is a definite pickup. When you get a dollar spend it on this game, and invite a friend over and play till you’re dead!

The Dummy Experiment
Dear dev
Suggestions:
You should definately add some sort of ragdoll death to spice it up a bit - the instant respawn when you hit something is not really entertaining, considering its a dummy game right? :)
Maybe a split-screen feature would come in handy, so us nerds with a girlfriend and/or irl friend(s) can play it together, and compete to be the best dummy escaper out there! Or just have some fun together.. That would definately raise the level of pure joy and it would open doors for alot of fun things to do in this game (Maybe you already thought of that, maybe you dont want it, who knows)

The game idea is nice altho it lacks in realising said idea.
There is a “tutorial” of sorts saying what dummies do and what they don’t.
It’s just a narrator talking tho and not showing any footage or telling you to try it.
The balancing is way too sensitive in my opinion and I had to use external tools to make it “playable”.
Some parts are so frustrating you just want to end it all right there.
The controlls for the dummy selection in the beginning also somehow don’t work that well with a
wireless Xbox360 controller using the official adapter etc.

Alien Crusader
I played this game for almost a month now. It kept me busy for a long time and I have to say that it was a challenge…. but in a positive way! The player has to unlock a lot of weapon upgrades first in order to get to the higher levels. I played this game with a controller and all I can say is, that its enjoyable! The only thing that reallly needs to be fixed is the level selection. From level 10 there is no way to unlock any further levels even if it says “play to unlock”. I beat level 25 and also level 26 and its still locked! So please dear developers fix that or just end the level selection on level 10, cause there is no way to unlock any more levels.

Well what we have here is a classic arcade game like we had back in the 90’s and that’s pretty much it. No ship or weapon customization, only pickable upgrades during gameplay. These upgrades can also be purchased permanently with the coins gathered during your games… or real money if you want to speed things up.
The graphics are ok, as you can see for yourself but there’s no diversity in enemies and no story to speak of either. The special effects are well made, glowy and juicy but they also act as camouflage for enemy bullets. This is a true arcade game, simple, basic and without any twists. Sadly most of us expect more than a ship firing lasers out of thin air… the missiles are firing from wing launchers though :)

Electronic Super Joy 2
This is how you do a game.
I recently finished this game, and it was an amazing experience. It had a smile on my face for all most all of the way. It blows the half baked groove city out of the water and even some parts of the orignial.
Graphics: Not really much to say here, takes the groove city route by adding parallax scrolling. I think it looks more appealing than the last 2. Some things were polshied up, like the stars having smiley faces. Though the 3d effects look really cool yet really strange and weird. The graphics get an A+

A sequel to one of my favorite games
What I want you to take out of this first paragraph is that the bar for Electronic Super Joy 2 was set extremely high by its predecessor. First title of this series is easily one of the best games I have ever played and I wouldn’t hesitate to put it in my TOP 10, possibly even TOP 5.
I don’t like “judging” games for their previous entries in the series, but I suppose it’s a very human thing to do. To start from a certain stand point, as we all have had our experiences in the past and we either nostalgically recall them from time to time or we bury them as deep inside our “forget” box as humanly possible.

Lawyer Guy: Defender of Justice
It takes some time get used to the controls on keyboard; z is jump, x is shoot, arrow keys move left or right. V is what you press to create a checkpoint; you only get 4 checkpoints, so set them carefully. Overall, the game is fun and challenging for beginners who aren’t familiar with the genre. It’s still in early access, so there’s only one level available at the moment. I look forward to playing the rest when it’s fully released.

Disclosure - I am a Cool Playtester for this game (check the credits!)
I like this. It’s my kind of game, a 2D action platformer with a sensible but punishing difficulty curve that teaches you what it wants you to do but also lets you make mistakes. Levels are short and sweet once you understand what they’re asking you to do (about 3 minutes long) and there’s lots of space for optimising your route if you like to go back for better times/scores.
The game isn’t finished yet and there’s a lot of work to do to put all of it together, but the single level at the time of this review (November 2020) is representative of the others. I do believe the developer will finish this eventually, although he will take his time in doing so.

How to differentiate a bad Free to Play singleplayer game from a good one? Well, a good one definitely was made to be enjoyable and it also doesn’t have this hogwash microtransactions. Furthermore, it’s even better if this kind of game is rewarding and gives players a reason to play it again. OLDTV fits in this image of a perfect free game very well. In my opinion it’s one of the best indie games in a zero-budget class that are available on Steam.

Ultimate Custom Night
Okay so this game is great, it has a lot of flaws but it’s still very good.
Pros:
-50 customizable characters.
-4 completely different office skins.
-Most of the mechanics are fun and creative.
-58 characters with jumpscares in total.
-Plenty of easter eggs.
-Fun-to-solve lore bits.
-Power-ups.
-I would’eve put the lagging part as part of the cons but, Scott recently updated the game with an option to turn off the visual effects and it basically completely fixes the lag so…..yeah.
-New renders are pretty sweet.

While Ultimate Custom Night is quite new to the FNaF series, it has quickly become one of the best games in the series.
Ultimate Custom Night; compared to it’s predecessors, is probably the most fun to play. This is mostly due to you being able to fully customize the game to your liking. Whether the setup be extremely simple for the player, or setting up a rather hard self challenge for themselves. The full customizability to UCN gives you tons and tons of possibilities and replayability. Not to mention, it’s a completely free game.
