Thirdmage

Thirdmage

Thirdmage is pretty rough, but I can see it being decent with friends. I have seen a few of these action based magic pvp games pop up lately, but I haven’t seen one that feels very finished. Maybe Thirdmage will find its niche? Who knows.

Terrible voice acting, just some dude with a terrible voice changer. Very repetitive stages. I will admit it’s fun, to an extent. It’s not really something new every stage. Plus it’s a bit glitchy at times. For example, when jumping it doesn’t always get you up to the platform you wanna be on. I’m not saying it’s one of the worst games out there but it’s FAR from the best. Even as a f2p game, it’s very disappointing. Get this game if you want, but I’m just trying to save you from the cringe and overall torture this game is.

This game is absolutely worth your time.

The pastel colors and soft, techno music gives it a surprisingly unique feel and design, and the simply gameplay helps make it a great timewaster or an enjoyable relaxing game.

Each enemy has a specific design and associated color, which means that even when you’re swarmed by enemies (and you WILL be swarmed), you won’t lose track of how many hits a certain baddie will need before he goes down. Get a high enough combo by hitting enough baddies without missing and you get to Frenzy, and that’s when the fun begins!

I absolutely LOVE this game! I got it thinking it was one of those “Play it once and never again” games, because I liked the art style. But now I think about this game alot, I always wanna beat my best score! I may not have alot of hours on this game, but I just got it so I kind of can’t have more at the moment.

I love how this game is compatible with keyboard AND mouse, and how there’s a learning curve to new enemies and projectiles, combos and frenzy. Have I mentioned the art style? It’s all SO CUTE, despite the story collectibles being… Well, I’ll let you see for yourself. I definitely recommend!

Bacon May Die

Bacon May Die

From the makers of Iron Snout (IS), we’re presented with Bacon May Die (BMD), a very similar game design and concept of Iron Snout. BMD is the evolution of IS where the game expands on it’s customization, wacky enemies & physics/mechanics, comes with a 2 player co-op and some other game mode from IS. It’s controls are responsive, visually clean, colorful and well made. The song is a little “funny” that keeps players engaged but can be annoying in the long run. At higher difficulties, it just feels like enemies/your character will ram into each other and you keep losing life. Oh, theres even bosses now. I would rate BMD the same score as I did with IS, a 9/10. Bacon May Die is a wacky, funny, beat em up that is suitable for all ages.

very simple and fun gameplay. Also with a co-op option wich is nice. And it is free and takes 2 seconds to download without any hasle with accounts or microtransactions. so give it a try

Dungeon Fighter Online

The game is fun and nice though its Steam version is glitchy as hell, mostly because of half-assed implementations of many options here and there. You could enjoy it since it is basicaly 8/16 bit Beat’m’up like but you’re warned.

For example you need to launch your Steam under Administrator rights to allow the game install itself (while other games only need Administrator rights for their installer).

Another one is that… Launcher doesn’t show any info since all info is picture-based and you NEED ADMINISTRATOR rights for IE (in other words you’ll need to actualy be under Administrator profile to read the news from Launcher).

Played this way back when Nexon NA was still the publisher and quit due to poor handling of the game. Flash Forward into the future and now the game is being published under its actual developers Neople who clearly know how to take care of this game.

Gameplay is simple. Its a arcade side-scrolling beat ‘em up type game with gameplay mechanics similar to that of a fighting game like Street Fighter. Skills in this game can be activated on input such that as a fighting game or traditionally like MMOs where you do skills on a set skill slot that is activated on the hotkey you set for it. The classes in this game are all unique in that some of them advance to do completely different roles. For example, the female mage advancing to become a Battle Mage which changes her whole playstyle into melee focused dps as opposed to one of her other class advancements such as Elementalist which is focused on bursting down enemies with ranged magic. The level progression is imo pretty fast. The game has a heavy focus on its endgame progression so leveling up from 1-90 per character should take you about 2 weeks or more depending on how invested you are in playing. Since this game uses a fatigue system. If you wanted to keep playing for longer periods of time. You would most likely need to make a new character as each character has their own separate fp bar. You will be able to learn more about the other classes by doing this which may help you decide on who you want to main.

Rumble Fighter: Unleashed

Rumble Fighter: Unleashed

When taking cancer to a whole new level isn’t enough…

Well, this game is litterally one of the most toxic game communities in the world. LoL, WoW, DotA2 and CSGO are just a common sense way to say they’re toxic, because in fact, this game ends being way more toxic than all these four together. After been playing like 8~9 years, I’ve seen a lot of stuff and even tends to get worse since they’ve moved to GamesCampus and now RedFox. Here’s a summary of pros and cons:

Pros:

  • If you want some single player fun, you can play Boss Mode, which is very challenging depending on the difficulty.

Rumble Fighter, is an amazing MMORPG, that falls under the categories of games such as Dungeon Fights, and TVA 2. Not only does it have a thriving community, but it’s gameplay is even more thrilling, and engaging at it’s peak. Monthly Updates and Bug Fixes allows Rumble Fighter to work at it’s greatest, all the while allowing players to enjoy the game, and it’s variety of items, not only are they buyable with in-game currency, but rare items are gainable through events, in which most are Holiday related.

Capcom Arcade Stadium

Capcom Arcade Stadium

This collection makes me wish Steam had a “Mixed” option.

Capcom Arcade Stadium is ALMOST a viable alternative to playing these games in MAME / ShmupMAME, but a baffling design oversight compromises one of the biggest reasons to play this over unofficial emulators.

The games play well compared to the Nintendo Switch version. Lost Worlds’ analog controls are simulated seamlessly. Built in autofire and button macros make doing special moves in games like Final Fight easier than ever! MOST IMPORTANTLY, there’s barely any input lag at all, COMBINE THAT with one of the nicest frontends I’ve seen in a good long while with LOTS of well-researched throwbacks to Capcom’s history, and you SHOULD have a slam dunk..

i can’t recommend this because capcom is forcing everyone to use censored street fighter 2 roms, a mediocre virtual arcade and no online multiplayer.

the experience this product offers is mediocre compared to other products on steam and created by the community, the other products require some effort to setup but you can achieve a superior experience to arcade stadium. capcom arcade stadium is also mediocre compared to other capcom products on steam.

new retro arcade neon offers better virtual arcade experience, you can get original arcade cabinet artwork, model and vr support. this is what the virtual arcade in capcom arcade stadium should have been.

Grotoro

Grotoro

Grotoro is a pretty simple “couch multiplayer” game. Bounce around space as a fart powered bull, fighting enemies and trying to stay alive all the while. Very simple, but I thought it was decent for a pick up and play party game.

Grotoro is a four player couch space globular fatty nervous farting bull brawl in space. It worked on Win 10, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Xbox controllers work good with this game. You can key bind so four players can used the same keyboard to control the four bulls. This is a single computer game, it has AI to control the bulls also.

Try it, you might like it.

This is a 2D hack-and-slash action game where you assume the role of a ninja-like toothbrush. All sort of might-be-infectious matters floats among them, threatening everything in the bathroom. You, as a toothbrush, must exercise your agility to avoid hit and at the same time annihilate the threat.

Be a hygienic toothbrush to keep your master clean. In turn, your healthy master will work hard to earn money for you to level up and unlock new abilities. Remember not to spend all the money on your own stuff. Your ultimate mission is to buy a new toilet lid to stop the chaos once and for all.

Game Features
