VIRTUAL SOLDIERS

VIRTUAL SOLDIERS

It is FINE.

There are 6 levels that take about 3-4 minutes each to complete.

The environment IS destructible but the screen is often so busy as to not matter.

For $10, there just isn’t enough content here.

For $1, I would probably give it a thumbs up, at $10, I have to give it a thumbs down.

Darkness Rollercoaster - Ultimate Shooter Edition

Decent game ! Very funny and very impressive virtual reality game, the immersion is real and intensive.

It feels pretty good to play it alone or with some friends.

The game is still in an early BETA access and I’m not disappointed at all, I highly recommend this game for virtual reality amateurs and to be honnest he’s pretty cheap for a virtual reality game !

In VR I particularly like good coaster rides and also shooters. So with Darkness Rollercoaster you have a combination of both genres. So far have played for several hours, and generally pleased with the quality and value, particularly considering the developers to their credit appear pro-active with quick resolution of an initial problem (blockage on Fantasy track) and promise of more to come.

What I like about this game is the variety of environments, the explore ‘no guns’ modes, the random generated tracks, and the overall fun provided. The Adventure tracks is particularly good, the Fantasy not too far behind, the Binary and Space lands providing a different less coaster ride feel. Incidentally thought the Binary City amazing, and would welcome expansion of this element. For the future developers may wish to consider adding further themes along the lines of an undersea dark cavernous track, an Indiana Jones style jewel mine track, or an indoor huge ghost manor (light) horror themed track.

Desert Gunner

Desert Gunner

First let me get this out of the way: I’ve played this for probably an hour, despite what steam’s weird gametime tracking thing says. I’ve played it on a few different computers which is probably why it says I’ve played it for such a short time.

Secondly: This is probably the second worst game I’ve gotten on Steam, the worst obviously being Air Control.

In Desert Gunner, you’re a guy manning a turret. In the desert. That’s literally it. The “multifacited levels” the game description promises is really just one level where your convoy drives slowly in a straight line and you shoot at things.

I wasn’t able to use the controls effectively making Desert Gunner a disappointment for me. Unfortunately the turret view would snap rapidly around making it nearly impossible to aim and giving the enemies an easy time taking you out. In fact, I was so terrible at this game that even groups of soldiers wielding machine guns were able to easily destroy my tank. Realistic? Not at all. Fun? Not in the slightest. I don’t mind older games or dated graphics if the core gameplay is sound, but Desert Gunner was difficult because of poor controls and camera snapping. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this game to anyone.

Pretty fun for like 10mins then there isn’t anything to do. What a shame because its fun, has some lewdness for spice and surprisingly catchy music. Totally worth $2 or even $1 if on sale.

Rogun Arena

Rogun Arena

Rogun Arena is a game with classic game mechanics from the 90s and early 2000s. The game has 3 of the most popular modes of the 90’s:

Arena - you will have to fight with crowds of monsters at a high enough speed, which will require you to have a lot of skills.

defrag-classic esports mode for time. Levels with simple geometry that make the player use the maximum dexterity and features of classic movement. The game takes into account the parameters of the player’s position in space, the angles of inclination of surfaces, jumping (Bunny Hop), the use of weapons for additional effects on the movement of the character.

Gal*Gun: Double Peace

Gal*Gun: Double Peace

TL;DR

This game is sort of a retro arcade-style fast-paced on-rail shooter, except instead of using guns to shoot enemy soldiers on a battlefield, you’re using sex pheromones to shoot anime girls in an academy. Overall it’s a great game, and I really enjoy playing it.

Main Pros

  • There’s a built-in “panic button” (normally bound to M) that you can press to pause the game and pull up a fake old school RPG game to fool friends or family members if they were to walk in to you being bombarded by lustful anime girls.

Real player with 30.8 hrs in game

It’s not a great port: xbox gamepad prompts are everywhere (but mouse and keyboard are working, and in story-critical QTEs you’ll get proper mouse prompts) and there are unexplainable game crashes on some setups, but it is still fun and weird Japanese nonsense. You should buy it, if you are into shooting pheromones at school girls and female teachers trying to express their love to you.

You can call this game “a lewd Japanese nonsense”. It’s an on-rails shooter. Your character moves through the school and then SUDDENLY GIRLS! Thousands of them! And every one of them wants to become your girlfriend forever. You have no choice but to defend yourself. You must disarm them - you do it by shooting pheromones at your attackers. In the best traditions of on-rails shooters, girls are zone-sensitive targets, so it matters where you shoot your load. Disarmed girls will scream with ecstasy and fall on the ground in lewd funny possess. Apart from the standard shooting mechanics, you can see through girls’ clothes while zooming-in…and touch girls in doki-doki mode…and…and don’t judge me.

Gal*Gun Returns

Gal*Gun Returns

The very first time I played this game, I still had a girlfriend. We were in a great spot back then. This is probably the only semi-lewd game I showed her. She thought it was funny and cute. Truth be told, I have fond memories of the opening song, as one of the very first times I made love to a real woman was during a non-so-well-thought-out playthrough. Those were carefree days of lazyness and lack of responsibility. Lovable moments of total void, filled with the simple joys of life. Time went by slowly, youth was in full bloom. What a great time to be alive and experience this little gem.

TL;DR Summary: 100% hard recommend. Fun, cute/sexy, and appropriately challenging. However, if you’re new to the Gal*Gun series, I recommend trying out Gal*Gun: Double Peace as your first game. If you already enjoyed Double Peace, I definitely recommend this prequel.

I’m going to write this review from my personal perspective of a GalGun addict who has 100% completed not only this game, but all of the others available here on Steam (Double Peace, 2, and VR), and pre-ordered the special edition without even thinking about it. Specifically, I will be comparing to Double Peace, for two reasons - first, both this game and Double Peace are true rail shooters, with very similar forced camera movement gameplay, whereas 2 and VR are stationary wave shooters where you have some control over the camera and when you proceed down the track. Perhaps more importantly though, the other reason is that I think Double Peace, as a sequel to the original console release of GalGun (which came out 10 years ago, and of which this game is a remaster), is a more interesting and robust game. So if you haven’t already played Double Peace, I suggest you start with it. Don’t get me wrong, Gal*Gun Returns is a great game on its own, and I definitely recommend it even to a new player, but Double Peace has more features and is currently cheaper, or essentially the same price for the Deluxe Edition add-on for all the costumes (which is totally worth the extra cost, BTW). So I’m going to assume you’ve played Double Peace, and base the rest of the review on how Returns differs.

Train Chase

Train Chase

A nice basic game. Stand, shoot, dodge and survive. climb the leaderboard and show off to your friends how awesome you are.

i like the different gun options, and the way the game gets a little harder every 20 levels. If you games like superhot, Space pirate trainer give this game a go.

Real player with 2.0 hrs in game

Its a ok game and its not done so I would like to see this change with more updates. So the game is where your on a train and you grab a gun and shoot the bad guys or robots and the more waves you go the more harder it gets and sometimes i’m on my floor laying down while shooting the robots. The game is like Space Pirate Trainer and Super Hot so the game can be fun if you make it fun and find creative ways to take down the robots. This is a good game for the price its not bad and I really like this game and I hope more guns, robots, and areas are made so it can be better

Blue Estate The Game

Blue Estate The Game

First of all, I never really liked the original comics. Or “graphic novel” as they prefer to call them. The art style was all over the place, thanks to how different pages were made by different people, while the story was fully made of cliché. The only thing that used to make it special for people is the fact that it was all about Russian mafia fighting Italian mafia, but honestly, it was just the mixed art and a lot of cliché, nothing else. When you finished reading, you felt like you’ve experienced nothing new, so, it was really easy to forget about Blue Estate right the next day. The game, on the other hand, instantly caught my attention. Not only because we rarely see the games, based directly on comics without those being turned into the movies first, but also because it was a rail shooter. Back in the days the genre used to shine and we had many awesome games up to the PS 2 times, while after that the only console that tried to keep rail shooters alive was Wii. And after Wii died, there was literally nothing. And since yours truly is a huge fan of the genre since the NES times, when there were games like Freedom Force (not to be confused with 2002 game), you can easily guess that I was really glad to hear that there’s going to be another game of that kind, even though I really, really disliked the source material.

Real player with 17.3 hrs in game

So outside of an arcade, rail shooters are extremely hard to find nowadays, on any platform. It seems that fast paced multiplayer shooters (think Counter Strike and Call of Duty) or open world pseudo shooter/tactical games (think Day-Z, Far Cry, etc.) are the way to go for most developers nowadays. So it’s sadly pretty rare to find anything that breaks the mold, and when you do, the end result is not always that great.

With that being said, however, Blue Estate The Game was a welcome addition to my steam library and breath of fresh air after playing an endless stream of fast-twitch, zombie horde, open-world shoot ‘em ups. It’s actually based on a graphic novel of the same name, which I’ve read and definitely reccomend.
