Hard Reset Extended Edition
achievements
achievements are okay, even tho some of them are a bit grindy. however, what should be mentioned - the difficulty. 100%ing requires you to beat the game on the hardest difficulty without dying (no checkpoints), which is brutal and may give the nightmares for non-FPS players. but, overly, achievements are fair. tough but fair

Hard Reset is a game that very clearly sets out to evoke the more generic and traditional FPS style of yesteryear with the visuals aesthetic of a more modern game. It does that pretty well and it’s a fun and enjoyable game, but it fails in a few areas that are somewhat glaring, and it does have it’s problems. If you’re about to stop reading this review because I’m not going to be 100% positive about this review, well, that’s your perrogative, but I’m not saying it’s by any means a bad game. It’s a good game, bordering on great, but it has some foilbes that hold it back from true excellence.

SPRAWL
Escape the walled city and take on the militarized government of the sprawl. Fueled by the blood of your enemies and a mysterious voice in your head, make your way towards the spire to topple whatever lays within.
SPRAWL is a hardcore retro FPS set in an endless cyberpunk megapolis. Here the streets are your playground. The dark alleys and dilapidated apartments are all surfaces compatible with your “icarus” cybernetic implant. This implant allows you to perform gravity defying acrobatic wall-running maneuvers. Your enemies, the militarized police of the sprawl, stand no chance. Not only that, but their blood fuels this same implant, vastly enhancing your reaction time. On command you can enter a state in which even bullets move at a snail’s pace. A vast arsenal of weapons lie at your disposal, the armies of the corporate government are endless, but be warned…

Cybernetic Meme Machine
Ok, this game is a one for the history books. A full fledged Meta-meme game at this point. So I’m starting with :
Troubleshooting: I didn’t had any problems when I played the game under Windows, several years back. Nor, any problems with the compatibility tool Proton 6.3-8, these days. Under Manjaro (it is an Arch distro btw), I didn’t need any additional launch options, either.
Artificial Ingredients: The game has achievements. And a bit annoying one, too. Beside the story, the class and the weapon related one, there are a lot of random achievements. And I’m still grinding these random achievements up to this day. Maybe, that’s why I stop buying games with achievements.

One of the most esoteric and dense games out there. But one of the most fun due to just how much you can do, and how you can complete the game in any way you want. The community (or the only people that even play this anymore) is pretty based too tbh

UPDATED Review 4/10/2021: Wow! This is a ton of fun. I had some prior grievances with some of the choices made with gameplay that were making the game very hard to enjoy for me. I voiced my concerns in my review, and the devs (small, indie dev team) responded very quickly to address some of those concerns. The devs are very receptive to feedback and appreciate hearing from their community, and it seems like they care about their product after seeing the most recent updates.
The gameplay is a lot of fun! It’s a bit of a combo of Crazy Taxi, Quarantine, and Carmageddon with slight influences from other media as well. If you’ve played Quarantine, you’ll notice the inspiration, but trust me, the devs are working hard to make this their own game! You will find yourself driving around a crazy, chaotic, and relatively apocalyptic city with bad guys and pedestrians on the road, turrets, other cabs/vehicles, and more. You are picking up fares, some of which need to go somewhere, others want you to kill someone or blow up a vehicle, and others want you to blow up a building (similar to dropping someone off at a destination, except with more explosions!). There may be more fare types in later districts that I haven’t gotten to yet, but I am satisfied with the fare types that are already in the game.

Cool indie game! Some stuff heavily resembles Quarantine or Road Warrior, but there are some major differences. Even despite the fact that the game has some bugs, the devs update it all time - a lot of stuff was fixed in recent patches.
Pros and cons below.
PROS:
-
positive vibe;
-
unique atmosphere somewhat reminds the old Quarantine classic;
-
nice effects and gore system;
-
excellent music!
-
driving model is not that bad at all,
-
cool weapons!
CONS:
- some missions look bland and could be a bit better;

Very good tactical FPS. The regular updates, generated maps and wide range of strategies keep me coming back.

Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death
If I went by the reviews I’d not have gotten this game nor wasted any time playing it. I got it on a Steam sale and it is worth full price.
Sure there are flaws, acknowledged. One of the levels stopped giving me hints and I got stuck. Exiting the game and reloading (not reinstalling) it brought back that levels hints so I could proceed. BTW that particular map was a little different that it required some thought to figure out how to defeat the judge.
But the game is FUN, not frustrating and I kept going even after sometimes dying a lot.

“Attention, patrons. There is a Dark Judge loose within the Smokatorium. Smoke ‘em if you’ve got ‘em.”
I don’t know how to go about calling this a “good game”. Which implies I’m under some sort of obligation to do so when I’m really not. And yet, with thirteen hours on Steam and umpteen more on console way back, I feel like I ought to. The truth is that Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death is a sloppy, mediocre mess – the very definition of a sub-par game – which by all conventional standards belongs in the bargain bin.

I love this game.
I recieved a free key to review this game, but that didn’t affect my judgment at all. Neon Shadow is just a great game. I would have gladly paid for this experiance. The review below is a snippet of the review I wrote on my website. You can find the link to the reivew below:

First off. I know some PC gamers are going to hate this game just because it got it’s start on “mobile” but Neon Shadow is a great game. Period. If you want to ignore Neon Shadow just because of it’s origins you’re a moron.

SiN Episodes: Emergence
After rushing 24 hours total with this. I´m done. I´ve played all the maps(story i mean), fanmade, Sin 1 Source maps, EVERYTHING. (those all i could find and download). I examined every place in all maps totally. So the fun would not end.
Positive things about this game:
-AI, so much better than in any other source game, enemies can get wounded, and can´t move, just noticed that in last map i played, they kick things at you, shoots exploding barrels (and maybe kick them towards you after that), they can melee better, using head example, they throw your grenades back to you(i think, i´m not sure about this one) and they can get health from healthstations example. So it´s more challangening to fight them.

A wise woman once said “born to stink, forced to smell”. In an age where the games industry was still finding its footing, smaller studios that once battled the giants for a foothold in the mainstream had to resort to workflows and content delivery methods that were less than conventional in an attempt to secure funding. Ritual Entertainment, one such company, found themselves in this precise predicament after their generally unrewarded work on SiN and Counter-Strike left them seeking a new source of income.

Split
Split is a first-person puzzle game with unique mechanics of creating copies of yourself and manipulating time. The gameplay combines many different types of puzzles from more and less famous puzzle games and takes them to a whole new perspective.
After the recent war, engineers from Epsilon Energy created the Split indestructible shield system. It was to protect individual giant cities covering almost the entire planet from armed conflicts. Different cities have different policies towards their citizens. In West Ulrage, every citizen gets a guardian robot at birth. In Hal’Tor, pairs of robots raise several children each. Whereas in Dievez, people are raised in large centers. Most jobs have been taken over by machines. People work mainly as mechanics, programmers or operators.
The Split control panel is riddled with numerous traps that will require both good reflexes and composure. You can try to destroy enemies or escape from them by using time manipulation and your own clones to distract them.
The game’s design refers to Brutalism, an architectural style popular around the 1970s. It was promoted, among others, by the game “Control”. We mixed this style with the digital environment from “Tron: Legacy”. The levels are full of nooks and crannies, which may seem empty at first glance, but lead to interesting places.
We were inspired by games such as:
Q.U.B.E.2”, “The Talos Principle”, “The Turing Test”, “Portal”, “The Witness” and “Antichamber”
