DEDstress
Oh man oh man. What can I say about this game?
Overall, I would say this is the Dark Souls of horror escape room games, with their well thought out game design and intent. Each checkpoint gets harder and harder, as it becomes more demanding of your attention and memory (and patience too). Every time you die, you will become frustrated, and may be tempted to rage quit, and yet you find yourself wanting to just try it “one more time” to beat this hellish game. But you will become better and better at it (whether it’s avoiding those doll-obsessed zombies or rolling doctors who turn into logs), and ultimately, when you finally finish it, you will feel a deep satisfaction.

One of the most, original, challenging and fun games I have played in a long time.
DEDstress is a very fast paced single player game with very high energy. Having to solve puzzles and use my brain while being chased by some crazed nurse is something I have not felt playing anything else. It isn’t horror, but it comes close to a panic attack simulator.
This game has given me heart problems.
69/10 would panic spray again.

NORSK: Epistle
Definitely a worthy purchase if you want to experience something new, especially for the price. Solving puzzles in different dimensions is a new concept at least for me and probably the best and most entertaining thing about this game.

If there were neutral ratings, I would give this game one.
-
technical well made (by just two people)
-
atmospheric
-
fitting, beautiful illustrations and soundtrack
-
finding some items can be challenging
-
really short
-
totally overpriced for the length
-
very predictable story (with lots of medical and psychological bullshit for the sake of a tense atmosphere)
-
puzzles = mostly searching for items
-
gamebreaking bugs (had to restart once and replay a large part another time)
And dear achievement hunters: Your achievements won’t count for your overall stats (which is Steams, not the developers’s fault)

Daylife in Japan - Pixel Art Jigsaw Puzzle
Please add more puzzles!
I love pixelart, so to find a puzzle game that had animated pixelart was great. Love the idea, so would like to see more added in updates or packs.
Agree with some of the feedback here, plus:
-
the lack of contract between some of the colours like white and light blue can be too difficult when in Pro mode.
-
the discounted price was about right since there are so few puzzles at this stage, I wouldn’t have paid more.
-
I ended up muting the music and playing my own lo-fi; getting more of a selection would be good. Sfx with scene could be cool too.

The pixel art is good as standalone art, but work poorly as jigsaw puzzles due to very poor contrast and color variance that turn the higher-difficulty puzzles with smaller pieces into a guess-and-check slog unusual even to real jigsaw puzzles. For instance, picture #4 has objects along the edges, but the middle 2/3 of the image is a completely monochrome sky – no features, only a few very small clouds, not even a gradient, just hundreds of blank featureless blue pieces with no variance in piece cut. Picture #5 has sections almost the same color as the application’s own background, making it nearly impossible to see some of the pieces at all. It was just very poorly conceived.

Pieces of Beauty
For puzzle lovers and especially those who follow the work of Ohara Koson, it will be extremely interesting to have this piece in your game library. Enjoyable music, puzzle size variations, clean visuals and well-executed gameplay.
improvement points:
-
Maybe an option for those who don’t want to see the background image ready in the puzzle.
-
Bug fix in the sound, I don’t know if it happens on my machine

Maze of Memories
I finished all of these mazes in 3 days (an hour a day). I would put on my music and mindlessly play through the mazes. It was a nice way to wind down after a long day.
