Sunday Rivals
Another update to the game, another update to this review!
TLDR: My play time speaks for itself. It’s very fun with a TON of replayability but it does lack a few features at the moment (but that’s going to change in the future once more updates release)
Pros:
-Loads of customization (players, teams, stadiums, leagues, jerseys, gameplay sliders, coaching strategies, and even playbooks as of the most recent update)
-Great gameplay
-Customizable Season Mode with full custom league support
-Share your custom leagues/teams and try out others' (albeit not via workshop)

The game is very simple right now, but it’s super fun to play. I’m really looking forward to the planned features.
EDIT: The Headhunter mode just released and it really adds to the replay value of the game. The mode allows you to “lead your favorite team through a 4 game, single-elimination tournament while racking up points using a fantasy football-style scoring system”; and let me tell you, that extra scoring system makes the game so much more fun than it already was. You can compare your scores from your own Headhunters runs and with your friends runs. I’d imagine the game’s Discord server would be a great place to do it: http://discord.gg/dSuMe5w

Legend Bowl
Pixel art? Football? Modding? Yeah this game has all three. With a variety of different play calls and fast paced action, the game is a ton of fun either playing alone or with friends. 10/10 would recommend

I bought this game today, and I love it. I used to play Madden, but EA is trash. It’s a shame there’s no NFL licensed competition, but this is a really good video game football sim. I’m hoping they add online play eventually.

4th & Inches
The original megahit from Accolade™. Team Construction Disk add-on is included for full team customization options!
4th & Inches paved the way for modern football games with robust play-calling and team management options, plus satisfying action that puts the player at the center of the on-field play on offense and defense. This classic remains a blast in games against the CPU or with a friend in local multiplayer.
Welcome to the pros, rookie.
So you were an All-American? Big deal! This is pro football, baby. It’s time to put down your press clippings and start buttin' heads with the big boys.
4th & Inches gives you all of the hard-hitting action of real football: the bombs, the blitzing, the goal line stands. You’ll experience graphics and animation that are as powerful as a blindside hit.
As the key player on defense, you’ve got to have speed, stamina and smarts. As the quarterback, you’ve got to read an unforgiving defense that takes no prisoners. Winning at 4th & Inches will take all the moves of a #1 draft choice plus the tactical genius of a veteran head coach.
Remember, this is the big time, hotshot. This is real football. This is 4th & Inches.

AFL Evolution 2
Alright firstly,
Massive improvement from the first evolution, i feel like the gameplay is very fair and if you mess up a marking contest it’s genuinely your fault. So good job from a gameplay stand point which is the reason i very much like this game.
HOWEVER…
Wicked Witch seem to just brush past some major details about this game where it seems like no effort was put in whatsoever. Here’s a list of those:
1, Commentating is even worse than evolution 1 the audio is pieced together so poorly it’s hard to listen to, also one player from the saints, hannenbury doesn’t even have his name called when he gets possession or kicks a goal, it just says. “great goal from….” as in he doesnt say the name. I think the commentating was honestly better on afl 2006 for the PS2, how is that possible?

I like this game. I’m a footy fan and decided to get this cause of the fact that I can change guernsey numbers for players. There are some suggestions I would make. I’d love to see them implemeted but it doesn’t bother me too much.
-
I’d like to be able to outright delist players in coach career mode. Even if they are on a contract (If they are, make me pay out the rest of the contract’s money or something) Perhaps I just don’t know how to do this. If so I’d like to be enlightened.
-
Please put in the Australian anthem that they use in real life AFL finals. That would be nice. Understandable if you can’t cause of legal reasons. This version is shit though.

Axis Football 2021
*** Play it Your Way ***
I have been placing the Axis Football series on my wish list for a while now. This year, I decided to check it out. I’m glad I did. It fits my play style and my creative thinking perfectly.
My way of playing this type of game is like owning my own team, and being the coach. You can play it normally, play call and watch in coach mode, spectate, or simulate if you wish. I prefer coach mode personally. I also like to spectate the other teams games in a week because I find it interesting. I’m never really in a rush, either.

BLUF (Bottom Line Up front)
If you like to manage a team in franchise mode (Like a GM), spectate games, customize/create uniforms Axis Football 2021 is solid and i highly recommend. If you are still playing 2004-2008 version football games by a “cough cough” developer, and enjoyed that versions franchise play, this one does many things better, some things so so and some still need work. The things it improves on outweighs the bugs in my opinion (may not be for everyone)
NOTE: dont let the number of “-” scare you, i am just trying to give the best feedback in hopes the DEVs will take it and make the improvements i am looking for. It just shows you how much i do enjoy the game and took time to write this out.

Axis Football 2020
I’ve been searching for a good coaching/front office football game for quite a while.
I know a lot of people buy this to play Madden style, controlling the players in the field but that’s not me. So bear that in mind. There are a few good games that allow you build a dynasty from the front office, but they don’t have any in game graphics and most players just sim their games quickly. There are other games that look almost like a game on TV, but the franchise aspects of play are disappointing. Can Axis football straddle the gap and do things well on both sides of the fence. I think so.

This is now the sixth edition of the series (I have purchased all of them except the first 2015 edition) and needs to be reviewed accordingly (the free grace/free pass period is over). If this was the 2017 edition, I am sure most would be extremely excited about the game’s future - however, it is not. It is now 2020. So where are we at then?
Cut to the chase:
I play coach-mode and spectate (I don’t control players on-field) - I like to play as a strategy game (coach & GM) and enjoy also being part of a living, breathing league (so I like to watch other teams' games as well throughout the season) - and my review will be from this point of view.

Football Manager 2022
I’ve enjoyed playing the game for the last 2 weeks, not a lot has changed from last years release but i wasn’t expecting much change, i just enjoy the updated teams and player improvements.
1 thing i am NOT happy with is the in game editor has almost DOUBLED in price, company greed makes me sick. in my opinion this isn’t aimed at new comers as i truly believe they wont even know about the in game editor at first, nooo this is aimed at us lot, the loyal fan base who return year after year. 50p increase, fine… but an almost 50% increase is filth. This isn’t about the price as the IGE is still quite cheap, but nothing new has been added to it, nothing has changed from the last decade, so why that much of a price jump .. imagine next years release, and the full game costs £72, would we be happy with that?

After 292 hours in game, I can say that this doesn’t worth the money. I enjoyed FM21 a lot but FM22 is a major downgrade and makes it a frustrating experience. Even if there was a bet launched before and a lot of bugs and shortcommings were reported, none was solved until the actual launch of the game, which is odd because there isn’t a major update compared with FM21 where all these things worked smooth.
There are major bugs/glitches in the engine like endless passing between defenders, wrong animation at free kicks. unrealistic long headers or shots from players lacking the respective skill

2MD: VR Football Classic
This game is AWESOME. Played for 5.6 hours on the first day alone, it is that addicting. The throwing mechanics are nearly spot on, once you get the hang of it you can really dial in some surprisingly accurate throws. The difficulty ramps up very nicely, starting with a defense that is relatively easy to pick apart and moving up from there. By about round 3, it becomes extremely challenging (which is a good thing).
The play creation is very intuitive, allowing you to draw up your own plays adds a ton of depth to the game and makes replay-ability much higher than only having a premade set of plays. It is addicting planning out each of your routes and strategizing what situations you will design plays for (ie. 2nd and short vs 3rd and long specific route combinations). It’s also interesting as you’ll find that each defense in each round will use different schemes. For example I’ve noticed that one defense will play press coverage on receivers while another plays further off. This, again, makes you strategize even more as certain plays you make will work flawlessly against one defense, and will not work at all against another. The only downside with the play system as of now is that there are only 4 play slots allowed, but the developers are very responsive and have indicated that they will be adding 4 more soon which is even more awesome.

This game is so close to being incredible. The atmosphere is there. The play calling is there. It feels like football considering they are sled dummies. However, I have to give this a negative review. I would like a response from the dev about 1 thing before i decide to refund. The throwing is so bad. you cant put any power on the ball at all. Every pass feels like a lolipop pass. honestly this game would be a 10/10 if you just fix the throwing. I cant throw a laser down the seam or on a dig route. Hell i can barely get the ball there. Please please please give me a response that you will fix this issue so i dont have to refund. Its not the social screen either i completely have the lowest res on that and the smallest window i can get. Plus my PC is a super PC. Its the physics that need a tweak. I play QB in college and this game feels so good, but the throwing is so bad.

Crazy Soccer: Football Stars
Crazy Soccer is a game fot those who got tired of ‘serious’ football. Do you want to overcome you opponents by number? Sure, just send aliens to abduct their players.
Game is too boring? What about cows that move chaotically and have no idea that they playing football.
Plus, you’ll be surprised to find a lot of humour in all the ingame texts.
My decision: 10 out of 10 crazy cows.
Would definitely recommend this game.

Great little game. Funny graphics and verry well made. Multiplayer mode isn’t working like it should anymore. You can find opponents and play against them, but the tournamentsetup is kinda broken.
But if you like a different approach to a mainly singleplayer soccer game with weird weapons en destructions, this is your game. For a little multiplayer fun with friends and stranger you can keep hanging around. But after zeven hours of fun, the real fun was over for me.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions
I have played this game first on Switch for 2 weeks, and then on Steam, and the problems are similar;
This game suffers from frequent crashes, specially if you go online and play multiplayer, where at times the game will lag to a halt, and then it’s up to one of the two players to voluntarily agree to shut down their game and take a loss so both players can be done with it and continue playing.
On the one hand, I thoroughly recommend this game to fans of the anime/manga, as this game is beautifully animated and accurately goes through the main story of the manga. I love that even after 200+ hours of gameplay, I still manage to find new scenes hidden within the very intricate friendship mechanic this game has, it’s like the only time i’ve ever truly enjoyed a visual novel type game. The gameplay itself is fun and I can’t put it down, despite the game’s glaring flaws.

I kinda wish Steam had a “mixed” review opinion, but when I remember why I decided to write this review in the first place anyway, the thumbs down is kinda deserved. Don’t get me wrong, the game isn’t bad, in fact, it has so much potential, but sadly the potential it has is kinda limited by really bad design decisions. Normally, this review was more informative about Captain Tsubasa series, but I hit the character limit so kiss bye bye to those.
I won’t really go on on positives and negatives (actually, I will rant about the bad game design after this paragraph), but I will just tell why and when you should buy this game. The game’s an action-sports game, and like I mentioned before, it plays according to its own mechanics, and it’s nothing unlike feefur or PESbabs. Now the mechanics are pretty straightforward, and truth be told, they are fun to pull off as you dribble through the entire opponent team and pull a flashy shot. However, it does get kinda old by time and there are not that many teams or even story modes, so you have been warned. I also think the game is a bit pricey, especially if you are in a 3rd world country, but hey, I mean… it could be a Paradox game with 500$ worth of DLCs. WHEEZE
