Motesolo : No Girlfriend Since Birth
Very funny game. Lovable characters. Had a watch party with friends and it was a blast! Still hoping for better Suna ending tho.

Motesolo was a lot of good clean fun. I cared about the characters, laughed out loud, and genuinely enjoyed sitting down to a playthrough. The interface is slick and design decisions support the style of game well. Game feels very professional, easy to get into, and rewards paying attention in a way that doesn’t feel difficult.
My only complaint was that the english translation had a number of typos that could be easily addressed by an editor. It wasn’t enough to interfere with my understanding but seems like good low-hanging fruit to fix in a future update.

Next Space Rebels
There are many aspects of this game that are good, and their are many things about this game that are not so good. There are also some things that are infuriating. I will try to to break things down into the good the bad and the ugly as I love classic films and it is simple to follow.
THE GOOD:
The acting by the FMV actors is amazing. Rocket girl is extremely animated and emotive to the point where you forget they are an actor. Every actor gives a passionate performance that is both enjoyable and at time amazing. Not gonna lie 3 Rocket girl.

Honestly, I was surprised by this game, in a good way.
Way more in depth than I originally thought it would be, already have 50 hours in and I haven’t even made it past 180 kms in space.
The acting is actually not too shabby, I was expecting some cringe worthy content, but I haven’t cringed yet at any of the acting, though some of the lines they use are sketchy at best.
They love making fun of youtube, like, LOVE making fun of it, which i guess is some political moves from humble games, but at least everything they make fun of is legit an issue with youtube. This can also help show the effects youtube will have on the future if google continues to grow and continues to literally censor everything.

Dracula VS The Ninja On The Moon
Dodgy bootleg VHS style interactive FMV were you try to fix the tracking on your VCR to see what happens next in this outrageously silly movie about vampires and ninjas on the moon!

The introduction feels like you’ll be there to see your first born live and die it takes so long. Most importantly though, the game’s main mechanic, the “tracking” is outright broken. Pressing either side does nothing no matter how many times you press, and when a new scene comes it’ll be clear suddenly for no apparent reason.

Bad Mojo Redux
This is some Baaaaad Mojo that you got there, mon.
And not only this Mojo is Bad, mon, but it’s a whole Redux. Well, the original came out in 1996. Redux, unlike what I’ve believed at first, is not a modern remaster of a game. Well, it’s a remaster, but it’s from 2004, so it’s old in it’s own way. That one still helped with compitability with modern systems, seeing how early Windows games tend to be a roach to run, FMVs got improved. Albeit personally I had to launch the game two times in order to get FMVs working and even then the sound sometimes would dissapear until I leave a screen.

“And when I looked into that necklace, that strange locket that was supposed to be my mother’s. A weird feeling, like a twisted spell. Bad Mojo.”
- Roger Samms, pre-cockroach
Bad Mojo Redux: a cinematic platformer, without the platforming.
There’s a timeless, agreed on standard way to play 90s puzzle games. The point n clicks. The graphic adventures. You play for a bit, explore as best you can, get frustrated, look up a walkthrough and then recommend it to other people anyway because you liked the dialogue. It’s the unwritten code, a valiant tradition since the first King’s Quest even as everyone told them to stop.

Star Wars: Rebel Assault I + II
System and Setup:
Windows 10 64bit
Intel Core i9 10900K
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER
- “Enable Steam Overlay” had to be disabled. Otherwise, the game wouldn’t acknowledge my gamepads. Confirmed to work for the DualShock4 and XBox One Controller.
(Right click the game in your library, select “Properties”, uncheck the box beside “Enable Steam Overlay”.)
- “dosbox_rebel.conf” was opened with Notepad and the sensitivity line was modified from “sensitivity=100” to “sensitivity=60” This should make Rebel Assault I easier to control with a mouse, but YMMV.

STAR WARS™: Rebel Assault I:
The game puts you in the shoes of Rookie One, a new soldier that is learning the basics of fighting for the resistance.
After some basic training (Flying, Shooting), the game puts you straight into the Battle of Hoth & the Battle of Yavin, where you are eventually tasked with destroying the first Death Star.
Most levels are about 2 to 5 minutes long, but the difficulty of the game definitely makes most stages longer than that.
The game does not feature checkpoints after you finish a level, rather the game gives you codes (checkpoints) that you receive every 3 to 4 levels, and these can be entered on the menu screen.

Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri
Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri was an immeasurably revolutionary computer game released in 1996.
Terra Nova established the outdoor first person shooter genre with extreme render distances and advanced physics modelling including gravity simulation, water reflections, player movement systems, and weather conditions. Terra Nova also pioneered and perfected squad commanding in an fps environment, with competent, realistic bots. The squad members performed the player’s exact commands, ranging from movement options, tactics, engagement techniques, and special abilities. Terra Nova even pioneered exosuit simulators, inspiring the Tribe series of fps’s. It is a very technical simulation, with the missions requiring strategic planning, in outfitting the squad with weapons, suits, pilots, and, “alternative suit functions.” Alternate Suit Functions, or A.S.F.’s, permitted an operator to perform an ability, including deploying sentry turrets, additional suit shields, demolition explosives, power plants, repair modules, cloaking, and other abilities. On most missions, the player had to rely on the bots to perform tasks for the player, either defending a structure, destroying enemy fortifications, and scouting. The player managed all of these tasks via three multi-function displays, similarly to an aerospace fighter jet. The player had access to a powerful and immersive mapping program, drones, damage outputs, and A.S.F. controls. The player also had access to jump jets. Jump jets were integral to gameplay, allowing for mountains to be scaled with ease and impossible maneuvers to be performed.

18-09-2016: Updated review after second playthrough: added some lines, fixed a few errors.
This review does not go into details of how the game works, nor does it mention everything. It only broadly explains what you can expect when playing it.
So, one would hear about this game, and would at first glance think: Well, this game looks interesting, let’s give it a try, right? It’s made by Looking Glass after all! (sounds a whole lot like me ;)
And then you play it. Holy crap, this game is amazing. Complexity unlike i’ve ever seen before, to the point that I have learned so much to fill a whole game at my second playthrough alone. one of the best soundtracks i’ve ever heard (albeit pretty biased), a story that starts very cheesy but then keeps punching you in the face with plot-twists and the gameplay is nothing short of excellent either.

It’s hard to recommend this game unless you are a fan of crappy fmv game. I can recommend this game only if u want to make funof it and laughing out loud with ‘bad behaviour " sequences especially those involving an elder suspect you can kill as much as you want. Have fun!

TLDR: Obscure progression, walkthrough mandatory dated dosbox FMV police academy choose your own adventure hard game over with broken savegames system.
While the footage and setting is interesting, they should have adopted more of a freeform tycoon style exploration based formula rather than take the worst of the point&click adventure genre.
Kind of reminded me of America’s Army game, where it has this weird edutainment propaganda flavor to it.

XF5700 Mantis Experimental Fighter
Earth had no warning.
Out of nowhere, an army of insect-like creatures from a distant world, using technologically advanced space weapons, ambushed and devastated Earth. Perhaps more horrendous than the nearly three billion deaths was the portion of the remaining population that was used as host bodies for gestating alien offspring. The Fist of Earth world government was formed to defend humanity and repel the looming alien threat.
You’re a member of FOE’s elite fighter corps – a recruit fresh from the Academy. You’ve studied diligently, spent countless hours in simulations, and prepared yourself in every way possible for battle. But, until recently, the alien technology and firepower were far superior to Earth’s.
Now, you’ve been assigned to the XF5700 Experimental Fighter (codename: Mantis). The fate of the world rests in your hands.
-
Complete edition: Includes the Rexum missions, voiced audio, and cinematics added for the expanded version of the game.
-
High-tech fighter: Sporting a shock-proof electro-luminescent HUD, Quad-Jump drives, and a sophisticated navigational system, the Mantis is the weapon Earth desperately needs.
-
Epic sci-fi story: CGI and full-motion videos (in all their early-90s glory) present a sweeping space drama in a vibrant futuristic setting as you progress through the game’s missions.
-
Awesome firepower: the Mantis comes heavily armed with Mass Driver cannons and an impressive array of missiles.
-
Realistic ship physics: Ship flight and movement are modeled on Newtonian physics models that give the game a distinct sense of motion.
-
Fearsome enemies: The Sirian insect race can form a powerful collective group mind capable of obliterating the human race. Only you can stop them.

Iron Sky: Invasion
-Do you know how to drive this thing?
-Well, can’t be any different than playing “Wing Commander”!
~Iron Sky
I totally miss the times when we used to get at least one video game for every major motion picture. It was like… a part of the experience. A way to prolong your experience with the movie you liked. Together with comics and other stuff of the kind. I must say, though, Iron Sky was not the movie to make you expect video game. I mean, sure, it had quite big space battle in it, but the thing is – it wasn’t just a Sci-Fi movie. It was a satire. Pretty toxic one too. And toxic movie about Nazis in space is not something that instantly calls for a game. I mean, back in the days, when even Home Improvement TV show had its own game (insert Tim Allen’s grunt here) - sure. But nowadays, when even the biggest movies often don’t have any video game adaptations? Let’s just say that this game came out as a surprise. Especially since we’re talking a pretty big project here, not just yet another casual s… stuff for mobiles.

I picked this game up in a BundleStar game bundle, and have finished the game before writing this review. I have used a controller for a majority of my playthrough, and have entered this game without watching the movie.
Let me start with the postive-
1 The graphics are subpar to good; they look 2012-2013ish with decent lighting effects.
2 Some of the charachters such as the Indian diplomat are memorable and funny
3 When used with a XBOX360 controller, the game handles itself very well
Here are why I cannot recommend the game-
