I Saw Black Clouds
I Saw Silver Linings
It doesn’t show its hand until it will have tested the patience of many, but I think in the pantheon of modern FMV titles it’s sufficiently interesting to recommend (with some caveats).
Consider me an avid indie FMV game dabbler . Over time I’ve realised that the real beauty of such interactive films, much like VR games, isn’t that they continuously break new ground towards some singularity future entertainment form. It’s that indie creator spirit that flows through their design and writing and all the quirks and eccentricities that come with that. I’m British, so I always love the underdog.

As a big fan of FMV games, I give this a 6 out of 10. So a mild recommendation mostly for other fans of the genre. There are just too many elements here that could be improved on to rate it any higher, some of which have been mentioned in other reviews.
There are some tracked playthrough stats like tact and honesty that are poorly explained in relation to the game, to the point I don’t think they have any impact other than reflecting choices you’ve made. There’s no situation where you aren’t tactful enough to continue down a certain path or anything like that. But at the same time there are the stats of denial and acceptance that determine your ending. So some of the stats matter and some don’t and that’s never really made clear.

The Bunker
Decent story marred by ultra-linear gameplay and lack of basic features
“The Bunker” is a fairly decent post-apocalyptic thriller movie - turned into a deplorably poor game that repeats all the mistakes of the “interactive movies” of the 90s, a time when these products were expected to sell on the basis of their full-motion video alone, and gameplay was an afterthought.
The premise is fairly interesting. After a nuclear strike hit Great Britain, people try to survive in bunkers, and you are the youngest resident in one of these, having been born just when the attack happened. The game starts with all other residents already dead and you being the last survivor, clinging to your daily routine because you don’t know anything else. When a system failure requires you to break out of that routine and enter long abandoned parts of the facility, disturbing memories of your past resurface.

TLDR
This is an introspective story on a well-explored topic: the Lone Survivor in a dystopic world. It’s done pretty well too, and has a good soundtrack for the presentation, but it’s not a game as the gamer community would define. The Bunker is an interactive story, where choices matter and actions have consequences.
DEETS
First, a few notes about the interactive aspects.
1.) Most of the choices you make will be in regards to finding cookies, as opposed to survival. It’s easy to miss the few minor collectables in the game if you’re not looking for them, and it’s not always intuitive to look where they may appear. Darkened corners, minor minutia of background details, and simple but unannounced puzzles are all a factor in various scenes.

Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh
My friend and I have recently gone down the rabbit hole of these fmv games. I’ve learned a lot on the way, and we’ve both lost even more. With this unique experience however, comes the perfect tool set to judge these games.
We started with harvester and there couldn’t have been a better game to get our toes wet. 5 hours later we became the kidders we need to be to take on phantasmagoria 1. Harvester’s story direction (or lack thereof) really made phantasmagoria 2’s story shine through. The acting was mostly good or at least good enough to not take us out of it and the characters were well written. Trevor please email me. Phantasmagoria 2 is nothing like it’s predecessor. It starts you as a white dude named curtis but the real main character, blob, is introduced quickly. A story filled with weird physics and entertaining emails, this game will take you on an mindboggling journey. Walkthrough is highly recommended especially at the end where the game crashes if you don’t do the puzzle right..

I see a lot of reviews that try to compare Phantasmagoria (1) with Phantasmagoria 2. And then the reviewer draws a conclusion that one is better than the other. My take - they share the title and they are both point-n-click adventures. That’s about where the similarities end. I think this is why so many critics loved the first and disliked the second. They weren’t letting both games stand apart.
Phantasmagoria 2’s horror is more focused on the cerebral… an analysis of insanity. Although there are a few bloody moments, the story focuses on Curtis' psyche and how it affects his relationships. Because of this, there is a distinct focus on interpersonal exchanges between Curtis and his friends/co-workers. You come to know each character fairly well and it’s easy to love some and hate others.

MADE : Interactive Movie – 01. Run away!
This is a review for people that speak English that don’t speak Korean wondering if they should try this out.
Short Answer (There’s a long answer at the end)
Yes (that’s what the big blue thumbs up is for, right?)
It does take a little bit of effort to play it in English though.
First off, the main menu is in Korean. You can change it to English
옵션 - Options
텍스트언어 - Text Language
영어 - English
Yes, it’s changing it so it has subtitles as well and the puzzles will be in English. They didn’t dub this and I’m glad because dubbed live anything is absolutely cringe worthy. None of the credits will be in English, but almost everything else will.

playing it for 4 hours solely because:
► i enjoyed it eventhough i never got into Korean movies or drama tbh
► the acting is pretty good and enjoyable
► eventhough some choices kinda give the same result but some of it DO have different results
► The devs are kind enough to let people post 1 ending for 1 channel at least for streamer/youtuber
because mostly will just tell them to not stream it at all or copyright strike them instantly
so cheers for that and thanks for a quick response for this
► i’m curious since this has 01 on the title, will we get a sequel ?

The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker
FMV games have made quite the comeback in the last few years, and The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker adds to the growing library of great titles in the genre. Of course, it’s not a perfect game (what game is?), but the quality of the writing, acting and production all place this murder mystery amid the cream of the FMV crop here on Steam.
Doctor Dekker has been violently murdered by one of his patients. As his replacement at the psychiatric clinic, you are now tasked with investigating his death while helping his patients navigate their various maladies. Toss in a little Cthulhu mythos, and you have a recipe for madness that’s altogether delightful to behold.

I thought you knew what you were doing, Doctor.
Once you find the genres you love, you absolutely can not get enough of them. Looking through pre existing games to see which ones you will most likely like and seeing if more are going to be released. Craving more and more as you become more aware of what makes a good game and a bad game in that specific genre. FMV games are one of those genres I adore but also look into them as it can frequently not work out.
In The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, you come in right after the events of a dramatic event. A psychiatrist by the name of Doctor Dekker was violently murdered in his office by one of his patients. But who? No one knows except the one that did the act. This is where you come in, not as some cop asking them questions but taking Dekker’s spot as a psychiatrist for the same patients he had. The same patients that hides the mysterious killer.

Whiteboyz Wit Attitude: The Pursuit of Money
This game is a life changer. Before this I was always sad. Then I heard the Whiteboyz were making a game. This game saved my life. I cannot thank you enough Whiteboyz. Thank you for this hidden gem that got thrown under all of the triple A trash. I love you Whiteboyz. You are now my favorite music group. I can now gladly say that Whiteboyz Wit Attitude: The Pursuit of Money is now my favorite game of all time. 3
Edit: I have been playing this game for months now. I have been loving this game so much. It is extremely flawless-from the uncapped framerate, stunning visuals, incredible dancing from the “Whiteboyz Wit Attitude.” I can confirm that this game is a one of a kind story with an amazing story. It really makes you feel like you are the “Whiteboyz Wit Attitude.” I would recommend this game 10 times over and I feel like everyone should play this in their life at some point. I love the “Whiteboyz Wit Attitude” and I can officially say I am in love with them. I have wrote over 23.5281 fanfictions about them. I can only imagine the amount of girls these 2 beautiful men can pull. I wish they would just pull me instead. ♥ :3

Whiteboyz Wit Attitude: The Pursuit of Money, the first real 10/10 game of our generation.
Long Review
When I play the game, Whiteboyz Wit Attitude: The Pursuit of Money, I don’t feel sad, or mad anymore, I just feel immense happiness that can only be experience by playing this very game. Everyday I wake up and play Whiteboyz Wit Attitude, and feel like everything’s going to be okay. Once you listen to “Wear The Purp” you get to learn the hippest dance ever, and I mean EVER, this song is a masterpiece among songs now of days, where they’re not equally as great. Dare I say “Wear The Purp” alone puts, Queen to shame. Then when you’re thinking, “There can’t be anything greater than “Wear The Purp”, They hit you with Mt. Vernon, Illinois, honestly you have to listen to it for yourself, or you can’t understand why this album is so great, and why, Whiteboyz Wit Attitude, are the physical embodiment of masterful music, and why they’ll be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Finally, the last song of this masterful album, “Moneyz in the Bank (For Real) its great song, but the thing that puts this on top, is the gameplay, I haven’t been talking about the gameplay, because if I were to, then this review would be to long, but I have to talk about the gameplay for, “Moneyz in the Bank (For Real), because it just TOO skillful, and polished, for instance how the people in the back dance to the beat, which gave it more depth, and I really felt like I was there, as a DJ or sorts, and it shows how great, Whiteboyz Wit Attitude are at making games, which this game probably took, 5-15 years, and that’s just creating the music. Don’t get me started on gameplay, which to be honest is so new and “hippy” that there can’t be anything like it, Whiteboyz Wit Attitude created their own style of game, and as you can see it rival, the new Triple-A games. People may be wait for the new GTA, but true men know the thing to wait for is the new, Whiteboyz Wit Attitude, Game/Album, which will in turn BRAKE the internet. The game is a 10/10 game, and if I could, it would be more, but a more accurate rating would be 100/10 in the very least.

Erica
Erica is a beautifully designed and well performed movie choice style video game. The cast, story, and production was all executed superbly, leaving my only complaint being that I would like to enjoy more of it. This is more of a compliment that a complete game has that reaction, but here we are.
The story has a lot of twists and turns, despite being about as long as a motion picture film (approximately 130 minutes). The writing was well done, giving the cast a good structured story to work with. The acting was brilliant, and definitely performed a very believable and enrapturing experience. Upon reaching the conclusion, I am left with many questions. I will not go into spoilers, but I am hoping for more to come, and to include some elaboration on the events that transpired up to this point. I am also going to enjoy taking all of the other options available in follow plays through, and seeing if that clears up any of those questions. I will be taking every single option that I can.

Best game I have ever played. This is just a next generation of FMV games and even more impressing is the fact that only 6-8 people were making this masterpiece without actors included. Great job Jack, Pavle and Holly. Hope we will see more games from you.

Phantasmagoria
I think Phantasmagoria surprised me the most out of the FMV games I’ve played recently, partly due to the fact that it was always reviewed as “meh” compared to other classics like “The Beast Within”. It did appear to be pretty mundane at first glance and I didn’t like the idea of puzzles in spades as I’m no good at them. I actually played Phantasmagoria 2 before this one and, though I did have a blast with it, it’s a joke in comparison to this one. The 2nd one just seemed to be a vehicle to show off the technology of the time with a ridiculously goofy story that insulted B movie horrors. This isn’t actually as campy as I expected (with the exception of a couple of ridiculously overacted scenes in the final act, it’s actually quite a serious horror). This is a dark game. Found myself feeling a bit freaked out at various points throughout and the musical score is tremendous.

So I might be a little bias to this game given that it was one of the very first point and click adventure games from my childhood and I’ve always had very very fond memories of this game.. Now that I’ve gone back and played it a bit, I remember why I loved it as much as I did when I was a kid.
To start off this is a point and click adventure game that features a actors over a green screen in a 3D rendered background. It’s got a strangely charming feeling when I go back to play this game at nearly anytime with the way the actors need to interact with the enviroment around them.

Transference™
This game has a deep story clearly inspired in William Gibson and Phillip KDick novels where it shows what happens when science and ethics collide.
Transference is not a casual game, it’s complex and intellectual on the narrative and it plays with your mind at the point to turn everything upside down. Also, this is not a horror game, they are no zombies, critters, or gore like occurs normally in that kind of genre Also, you are not running around shooting everything because the gaming mechanic only focuses on exploration and puzzle resolving. I consider this one as a psychological thriller with some little jumpscares offered through sounds and visions.

Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers.
So I bought the game today, post-patch fixing all the reported issues with the Oculus. I am happy to report that I did not experience a single issue during my full playthrough of the game. It look me about 3 hours to finish the game, however, it can probably be finished in 2 hours. I got stuck on one easy puzzle that I thought was more complicated than it was. I then noticed a number near the laptop which soon made the answer obvious.

Morph Girl
And now, once again, I bid my hideous progeny go forth and prosper. I have an affection for it, for it was the offspring of happy days, when death and grief were but words, which found no true echo in my heart. - Mary Shelley
Morph Girl is a FMV horror visual novel - since it is a story with various choices and their appropriate endings - and Jaydeb’s sole project so far. It most certainly bears some potential for a first trial yet bears some issues in the long run too. Still, I’d strongly recommend for you to give it a try, if you’d enjoy the artistic narrative of a tragedy of loss.

I do not often write reviews for games, but every once in a while I decide a game is worth a few moments of my time to write one.
Morph Girl is, as the store states, A Japanese horror inspired FMV complete with an Onryou. There are 6 endings to the game, with the typical good and bad outcomes you might expect. As others have stated, a run should take about an hour, with several choices sprinkled through. These don’t change the overall gameplay significantly, but it does change the ending. Additionally, you are able to watch TV twice in your playthrough. On the TV will be two movies, 1 hour and 2 hours in length, that must be watched in full for the achievements, but not for any ending. Overall, the rest of the achievements are easy enough to get, clicking through some items, playing the story, and reaching the various endings.
