Deathtrap Dungeon: The Interactive Video Adventure
Extraneous introduction that u dont need to read. Do you..?
read it anyway
continue south toward the important looking bit.
You read it, oblivious. So this is a book ive seen from waaaaaaay back 80s-90s when I was knee high to a goblin, who unfortunately never stopped following me around. although the owner rightly didnt want to lend it, he kindly showed me the art work and we talked about it. Id since figured id probably never get A chance to try it, consequently I slumped from dodgy second hand store, to run down closing library on whatever fabled turn by numbers hit I could find, but few where as potent. Its good to be wrong.

Probably the most intriguing adaptation I’ve seen of a Fighting Fantasy gamebook, having spent a chunk of my adolescence with the mid-2000s reprints, and every change and tweak to the rules ironically makes this feel more faithful to how Deathtrap Dungeon (the book) was in my memories.
By the old rules (which can still be selected), playing with a low-skill character was just a waste of time, but the default new battle system reframes health as a resource to manage over the course of the game, with fights inevitably ending eventually.

UNITED COMMAND ®
Nice game with command and conquer vibes. Surely needs some polishing but already in early access I had some fun with the coop-campaign. The assets for the troops and the buildings look very good, the maps should be a little more detailed. Also it would be great to be able to sell units - especially when the raffinery is destroyed and you need money to buy another one.

Having played Hero Armored Company for about 10 hours now, already some things can be said about this tank sim. Let me begin with the most important thing: I like it! This game has the potential to become a great tank simulator.
Does it have problems? Yes. Does it need improvement? Absolutely! But that doesn’t wipe out the fact that this is the most fun tank sim I’ve played since World Of Tanks (and I’ve played a LOT of WoT!!!) - and for me at some points it even superseeds it!
THE GAME
For now only part of the single player content is available with a Story Mode (with at this moment 8 missions) - an aspect I definately miss in WoT! Single Player Mission Mode and Multiplayer Mode will become available at a later stage. So far I have been grinding myself though the Story Mode.

Press X to Not Die
Introduction
Press X to Not Die is a quirky full motion video game filled with lots of humor and plenty of death. The game is a nice throwback to older games of this nature. Stuck in a world where everyone seems to have gone mad, you have to find away to not die through button mashing on your keyboard or controller. The game is a fun experience that can definitely raise your adrenaline, don’t blink or relax because you never know when you’ll have to press X!
Story
The game starts off like any normal day, that is until your friend rushes over stating that everyone is attacking each other and you have to press X to not die. From that point on you’re thrust into a world where your survival depends on your reaction time. But don’t worry, you’ll be dying a lot and actually this is the best part. All of the deaths are absurd as is the game itself. You have to rescue your girlfriend, find answers and get out of town in one piece all of this action packed fun is also helped with ridiculous dialogue which is funny and also meta. Don’t worry about the fourth wall, it’s been destroyed.

Grade = B. Worth a buy, for those who enjoy short funny consequences, gamepad challenge, score attack. However, for who want a high budget product, don’t buy it.

Not For Broadcast
I never write reviews, however I had quite a few thoughts on this one. I hope the devs can read and maybe respond.
I really recommend this game, even if you don’t think you are interested in the genre. It’s just the right amount of challenge for me, the actors are personable, funny, and similar to real life, and there are many realistic features. I also like the fact that you can replay any past broadcast you’ve done as if you are a viewer, and it’s satisfying to pull off some great shots. I also like the political side of the game, and the amount little details are crazy (e.g. what people say off shot in the ‘rushes’, which are the four camera feeds you can choose from to broadcast)

I really enjoy this game’s mechanics and pace. However there are some issues with the content that make playing it kind of a bummer.
The narrative’s reliance on hacky, sometimes offensive comedy tropes weakens what could be a really groundbreaking experience. I think these tropes also hinder the game’s message, so far as one can be discerned (as the game tends toward ridiculing whoever it can). In the first three game segments, we have:
1. A group of stereotypical theater kids. Included are a preening, flamboyant young man, a vapid, self-obsessed blonde, an over-eager social justice warrior type, and an intellectually disabled young man whose inability to navigate a sleeve is played for cheap laughs.

Not For Broadcast: Prologue
Wow! This game has some of the best potential I’ve seen in a game for a while now. I think this is coming from a standpoint that I have experienced working a tri-caster in college, but so far, its a really great story.
I think one thing I would like to see is being able to sabotage the broadcast a bit more than just losing viewers. Like for example, I would like to see some sort of scandal be released the next day or mission because we the player decided to show off some of the colorful behavior the actor shows to the his staff and the TV studio staff. I would also find it funny that during the press conference, that when you go to camera 1 where the staff is gathered watching, it would be funny if there was some sort of reaction.

“Papers Please 2 : Media Control”
seriously. similar premise. do “boring-workstuff” in an “oppressive” place. reminds me instantly of that. But the good news is, this game is feels pretty fresh. Mainly because of the animations and better pixels, in comparison to the game I mentioned.
ok so since this is just a demo, i guess it’s better to write a feedback than reviewing the good points. But i’ll do both anyways.
(+) First, the gameplay is actually pretty interesting (read=multitasking-challenge). There’s quite a few mechanics in here, and even though this is just the demo I really got the pressure I thought I would. It might even be slightly more pressure than I expected. Guess I’ll explain what you DO, at least, in the demo:

Wild West Z
Even though this game is released in early access, it is far from complete and not made with common user experiences in mind. Here’s some reasons of why you shouldn’t buy this game at this point:
POOR UI
-There’s no key re-binding. The only mention of controls is through dialogue at the very beginning and the main menu tells you nothing.
-During character dialogue, pressing tab or control allows you to edit their text lines, and you can’t back out of this “debug” mode unless you restart the game save.

Okay, look at how bad the trailer looks and then understand that the trailer makes this game look about 50 times better than it actually is.
This game and developer should be FINED.. and then have his face SLAPPED HARD… for one reason. He has maximum MOTION BLUR and NO SETTING TO TURN THIS CRAP OFF! WTF?!!? Yes, fine this guy AND slap the hell out of him!
It’s buggy, it’s not fun to play. It’s much more comedy than it is a fun “action shooter”. If you think ridiculous bugs like a bridge breaking apart for no reason and spinning at 3,000 spins per minute in mid air. Ugh. LOL! No, UGH!
