Stormworks: Build and Rescue
the game is generally good and i enjoy playing it but it has its fair amount of downsides too, but i am only making this review to complain that they changed how rocket fuel tanks looks, because it seems that they failed to realize that players have been using the rocket fuel tanks for decoration and now when it became simplified it just looks stupid. and there is no way to use the old ones. :(

Honest review from someone who has put a huge amount of time into this game
-
Badly optimised, crashes are fairly common.
-
Multiplayer mostly unplayable due to desync between clients.
-
Base game content is lacking after they pulled the original missions
-
Original purpose of the game entirely lost and forgotten by the devs based on a single discord poll
As much as I had no issues with the weapon DLC coming as it could’ve added some real great additional content but sadly the entire focus has been on the weapons.

Balsa Model Flight Simulator
(Also put 230 hours into the public playtest prior to EA, quite confident this will become my most played game by quite a lot)
Haven’t even touched career yet, or done much with the scenario editor. I’ve just been completely captivated by making and flying planes. If you can think of something or find an existing design that seems feasible you can probably make it, and you can even come with new ideas that no one has thought about before and make them work.
This has replaced all other flight sims for me, MSFS may be beautiful and have great wind simulation etc, but I can’t fly and build my own designs which I’d much rather do. The community aspect of this is great too, seeing all the weird and wonderful designs that people come up with is always entertaining to me, and the mix of friendly dogfighting and chill flying around together is just great.

Balsa is one of those games that is up and coming with afterburners lit. Ignore the fact there are no afterburners (yet).

Keep in mind, this game is in Early Access. This means the game is developing, growing and has potential ONLY limited by feedback provided to the developers. The team even released a modding kit that allows for building mods already. I have been able to create several custom designed propellers, fuselages, and fuel\battery tanks and used them in game.

Feather
As Robin Sharma said - ‘The very nature of being a human is we are built to progress, we are built to want. Our brain craves novelty and we are most alive when we are progressing towards our mighty mission.’ The modern society embraces this same idea and it applies to every known medium, including video games. You all are familiar with this - achievements, quests, invisible pointers, to, well, point us to do something to keep occupied. Q is, how the one can play & enjoy the game with ‘no enemies, no combat, no threats’ and basically, without any goal? The answer is - you get away from the familiar.

Feather is not particularly entertaining. It’s not traditionally fun, or thought-provoking, or complex. You’ve seen most of it within an hour. There’s not much to do and you don’t walk away thinking about it, or eagerly awaiting the next time you can play it.
And it’s worth every cent.
Feather may not be my favourite game in my library, but it is undoubtedly one of the most important. I have plenty of games that are relaxing, and yet, whenever I’m feeling sad, or stressed, or anxious, or whenever I’m so bored that absolutely nothing seems appealing, or so deep in depression I don’t feel much, or even just when I want a break- I always turn to Feather.

SimplePlanes
Easily one of my top 5 games of all time.
There is so much I like about this game, and for the price, its a great deal.
Pros-
Building planes - It takes practice to build good planes, but they are not too hard
Flight Physics- Except for the occasional bug, the Physics work reletivaly well, and have enjoyable flying
Damage Model- Its pretty basic, but it gets the job done. It is fun to go blast your creation out of the sky with a missle
Mods- There are some incredible mods out there, from adding in custom missions, to making the game actually look cinimatic.

I will definately recommend this game. It may look like one of those smaller games that is fit for a phone, but it is not. It has so much to offer, that is, if you have creativity in your mind. It is one of the most fun games I’ve ever played. I bought it at a discount one day, thought to myself, “ehh, ill try it.” I’m so glad I did. In my opinion it has the best customization tools in any game. With a few simple mods, the customization in the editor is endless. You can create an exact copy of any real-life plane if you spend enough time, albeit it is time consuming when building. But in the end, it is worth it. The feeling is great when you spend three weeks perfecting a plane and it takes off for the first time. Also, the ability for us to share planes is AWESOME! I love checking out other people’s planes, it gives me ideas for what to build next. It is an ALMOST perfect game. why almost? there are just a few things that I would love to see:

DreamFly
I’ve been waiting for a VR game like this, and now its finally here. The shaky screen that many people reference isn’t very bothering for me, and it only shakes occasionally, though it would be better if it was fixed. The ability to go to other islands after thinking they were just blobs to create scenery is a pleasant surprise. Id like to see what this game becomes, and maybe even different birds with different flying styles. The best part is that the game is free. I found that there was a heart shape in the map, and that there was a sphere in the sky, which I tried to reach, but once I got pretty close it seems like I was making no progress, so its safe to say that there is a limit on how far you can go upwards, and the sphere is outside of that limit.

19 sep ‘20: Wow the game has changed quite a lot! It’s much prettier! Also there are now these planets with gravitational force, which you can use as stepping stones to go higher and higher. I still experience what I wrote on the 14th of May. Because unlike before I cannot gain real speed anymore. You just can’t get high! Before you would gain speed once you got a little higher and higher, that was so cool and made flying so easy. Now it’s real hard work :-( This is my complaint now. It doesn’t feel like a dream-flight anymore, more like work-flight. For people new to this it must be hard to learn man…

All Aspect Warfare
If you want an idea of how infantry conflict (without indirect fire) would be in the future, play this game.
The scenario is that you are one of a surviving team of soldiers/airman (there’s one pilot among you) on a planet that is essentially a live-fire training area for an enemy race’s military.
Yep, an entire planet that’s really one big impact area with a few bases scattered on it.
How did you get there? Well, the spaceship that you were on was carrying a planet buster to plant on the enemy home world (yeah, the war’s going that badly) was damaged en-route and crashed here. After arming the planet buster, of course.

This was actually a fascinating concept back in 2009 and I even had some fun playing it. Unfortunately the bugs were never fixed and it is left a broken mess. The fact that the developer appears to have been actively working to remove bad reviews from the store page makes it quite obvious that the game is never going to get the love it requires and as such my only recommendation can be to spend your money elsewhere.

Take On Helicopters
I had bought the DVD version initially, and “right out of the box”, slow FPS rates were the first thing to attend.
Being a virtual pilot for many years on the MSFS series, it was quite natural to give TOH a shot.
Right from the beginning , FPS rates had to be “treated” using the intuitive menu settings (video).
Knowing all too well the finicky nature of FSX, and it’s frequent CTD’s caused by sliders too much to the right, and to the many checked boxes, this was all too familiar for me.
The results of those major reductions in all of the settings, including clouds effects and desabling anisotropic filtering, were a big improvement. That was obviously predictable, at the cost of some eye candy, and limited visibility.

I own this game quite a while, occasionally taking free flights in Seattle and i must admit - level of detail in envelopment is far beyond for any flight simulator game even today. There is probably thousand of different models for buildings, not only for landmark, but any major building have it’s own model and detailed texturing. Those also all collision enabled, meaning you can crash or land on. Even trees are crashable 3D models. You can even land and get out of your bird and start playing ARMAII in Seattle. Or in normal ARMAII maps - if you own it in Steam.

Vehicle Simulator
Shipping and boats in vehicle simulator
Best ship simulation out there in my opinion as you to simulate tides and current, in which no other simulator has to offer. There is a huge range of ship and vehicles availible for the game. The game is very versatile and there are alot of options including simulation speed to speed up long cruises. There is a multiplayer but so far I have not found anyone on the servers not sure why. When docking with tide or current the ship comes in easily as you can push it sideways into the dock even without a bow thruster. However when docking in slack water with no bow thruster I use the head and stern lines to secure either the bow or stern first and swing the other side in. This causes probelms as the ship merges with the dockside and simply glides through the dock and there are no solutions to the probelm in the forum so it can be very annoying having completed a cruise and having it destroyed in the final docking process. However the developer is very good at suggesting solutions so it may be an easy fix. Overlooking that the probelm the game it fantastic you can even drain the sea! The historic ocean liners for this game are beautiful such as the RMS Titanic/ Mauretania/ Laconia and they are all free so you done have to pay a fortune for add on content.

I’ve owned Vehicle Simulator for a few years, and over that time I’ve grown very fond of it. Lately I’ve been starting to use it as a way to teach my friends how to fly simulators, and so far it’s working well in that capacity.
Since most of those friends don’t have joysticks or controllers, I’ve been learning to fly it with keyboard + mouse only in order to help them. The keyboard + mouse control in VS is surprisingly good, though helicopters are almost impossible to fly without a joystick.
The game supports TrackIR and various peripherals.

The Search For Fran
After putting more time than any man should put into this game i have not only completed the main quest line of talking to all the people but i have also found all 50 of the yellow orbs. I feel like i have transcended beyond human kind, I no longer require oxygen to breath, my heart pumps 4 times harder, my life span is now a century, i can move things with my mind and kill people with a single thought from across the world. I no longer need any other game in my steam library for entertainment. Angle of Attack
Battlecruiser 3000 is a game in which you control a gigantic battleship managing every aspect of it, building and upgrading its capabilities as you travel across the galaxy fighting in a war of truly epic proportions.
Angle Of Attack is a poor and simplistic version of that.
Instead of an entire galaxy to play around in, you have a single planet. Instead of a complex and intricate upgrade and management system, you just increase numbers and none of the upgrades really change how the game plays and instead of taking part in an organic conflict you just kind of cruise around, rarely if ever seeing a friendly.
– Real player with 31.3 hrs in game
Angle of Attack is yet another variation of Derek Smart’s Battlecruiser 3000 “franchise”. It started as a comprehensive simulation of a starship command, down to crew and food, and weapons, and trading and planets and fleet that starships moving all around you, doing their own things, and you can help your own side in the war effort. In Angle of Attack, you are down to one planet, with jump gates that takes you to other parts of the planet, and you can attack or defend as you wish against the humankind’s nemesis, the Gamulons.
