SimplePlanes

SimplePlanes

Easily one of my top 5 games of all time.

There is so much I like about this game, and for the price, its a great deal.

Pros-

Building planes - It takes practice to build good planes, but they are not too hard

Flight Physics- Except for the occasional bug, the Physics work reletivaly well, and have enjoyable flying

Damage Model- Its pretty basic, but it gets the job done. It is fun to go blast your creation out of the sky with a missle

Mods- There are some incredible mods out there, from adding in custom missions, to making the game actually look cinimatic.

I will definately recommend this game. It may look like one of those smaller games that is fit for a phone, but it is not. It has so much to offer, that is, if you have creativity in your mind. It is one of the most fun games I’ve ever played. I bought it at a discount one day, thought to myself, “ehh, ill try it.” I’m so glad I did. In my opinion it has the best customization tools in any game. With a few simple mods, the customization in the editor is endless. You can create an exact copy of any real-life plane if you spend enough time, albeit it is time consuming when building. But in the end, it is worth it. The feeling is great when you spend three weeks perfecting a plane and it takes off for the first time. Also, the ability for us to share planes is AWESOME! I love checking out other people’s planes, it gives me ideas for what to build next. It is an ALMOST perfect game. why almost? there are just a few things that I would love to see:

Feather

Feather

As Robin Sharma said - ‘The very nature of being a human is we are built to progress, we are built to want. Our brain craves novelty and we are most alive when we are progressing towards our mighty mission.’ The modern society embraces this same idea and it applies to every known medium, including video games. You all are familiar with this - achievements, quests, invisible pointers, to, well, point us to do something to keep occupied. Q is, how the one can play & enjoy the game with ‘no enemies, no combat, no threats’ and basically, without any goal? The answer is - you get away from the familiar.

Feather is not particularly entertaining. It’s not traditionally fun, or thought-provoking, or complex. You’ve seen most of it within an hour. There’s not much to do and you don’t walk away thinking about it, or eagerly awaiting the next time you can play it.

And it’s worth every cent.

Feather may not be my favourite game in my library, but it is undoubtedly one of the most important. I have plenty of games that are relaxing, and yet, whenever I’m feeling sad, or stressed, or anxious, or whenever I’m so bored that absolutely nothing seems appealing, or so deep in depression I don’t feel much, or even just when I want a break- I always turn to Feather.

Detached: Non-VR Edition

Beautiful game placed in space, originally created for VR and now available in nonVR version. It’s FPX game where we want to survive and find a way to get back home safely from malfunctioned space station. This will require a skill to control your spacesuit powered with fuel. We also need a oxygen and both of these can by found around by exploring an open world of the damaged space station. Some puzzle needs to be solved in the game to complete some of the tasks like opening the doors or activate various systems. Great looking and well optimized graphics and nice sounds well making a feeling of loneliness in empty space. Game has cross-platform PvP mode. Detached is a fantastic game that I’m hoping to play in VR mode some day.

I would love to recommend this game, it’s quite a nice, short FPS story. Flying around in an authentic zero-g experience on Realistic mode was amazing, it’s the kind of game I like most. There’s not much shooting, just floating through space finding the path out, with enough light puzzles to not be boring.

Unfortunately, finding the small progression MacGuffins in level 2 was awful. They were hidden away and difficult to find when trying to progress the story. It took me a few hours flying around looking for them. I found a few, but they were placed near another progression point later down the line, so taking them earlier than I’m supposed to means I have to look for others in the more difficult places anyway.

Murder Diaries 2

Murder Diaries 2

Murder Diaries 2 - with a good plot. Nice graphics and pretty good music. The gameplay is pretty simple, you fly around the white circle and piece together the whole story. The game is addictive. Recommend!

A very good and beautiful game with its own riddles and mysticism, it makes you think about the plot, it is pleasing to the eyes. It is somewhat reminiscent of an old game from my childhood, which was also about investigations.

This title is amazing and really shows what VR is capable of: You feel like a space engineer alone in the vastness of space - trying not to die.

I recommend you play the game on simulation mode while in a seated position (helps immersion and feeling of weighlessness) and complete the brief tutorial. The first two modes are way too easy and don’t give you the feeling of immersion.

You have on your suit:

Directional thrusters (up, down, left, right)

Maneuvering thrusters on your suit (Roll, pitch, yaw)

I have played this game for a couple of hours now, which, in a game advertised as having a single player experience of about 2.5 hours isn’t bad, I guess. I’m not sure where the idea of 2.5 hours came from. I don’t think that I’m very near the end and I’ve played for more than that in total. You would have to be seriously good to get this game done in 2.5 hours. Admittedly I ended up saving the game with very little oxygen left and ended up having to start the first level from the beginning, but that’s a definite possibility for anyone.

Stunning Artwork to calm you down and make you happy

I first experienced the game at Gamescom. I was fascinated every time i walked by. I had to play it and thank god i did :D Yesterday i bought the game, invited a few friends and together we were so stunned by the game - how it looks - how it feels like - how every bird is totally different from the other but still a unique and interesting experience. When you want your friend to try out that ultra heavy bird before it is changing to another one it is quite helpful that 2 or more Controllers can control the bird at the same time. Furthermore one can master the handling and control in about an hour i think, which makes exploring the world even more fun, and btw i can recommend listening to Bonobo(no ad xD) if you want more background-music.

(Edited at the end)

This game has potential so don’t give up on it just yet.

This game is being very overrated and someone must balance things out by pointing the flaws that nobody seems to mention, after all it really needs it, it’s an early access.

Pros:

-Consistent Pixelated Graphics

-Total Freedom

-No UI in the way

-Very different biomes to play in

-The music and sounds are relaxing and atmospheric (even though I think they still need more variety and realism)

Most of these you can pick up from other comments, but more importantly by gameplay videos that will show you what this game has to offer you, not more, not less.

Game description key-points: walking puzzler

Real player with 6.7 hrs in game

Sky Mirror Strolling is a free to play Unity based casual maze/puzzle game where you must negotiate a 3D rendered third person view maze, collecting “positive energy” and beating the clock to finish the maze in time.

It’s a reasonable idea, and the graphics aren’t terrible, but this looks and feels like a mobile app rather than a PC game. Confusingly, you move around the main menu as you would in a mobile app by dragging your finger on the screen, but in the maze itself you’re using arrow keys. Resolution and controls are locked, so that brings the game below minimum standards for a contemporary PC game. There’s also a really, really annoying repetitive soundtrack, and no audio controls!

Aery - A Journey Beyond Time

I personally liked main the main character of this game - flying-bird-eagle. It is a really good idea to choose this being like a personage.

Different interesting and sometimes exciting locations.

I get enjoy and pleasant relax playing this game. It’s so calm and pretty.

The controls are quite simple, I learned right away and graphic is pretty good - there is nothing that catches the eye sharply.

Travelling in time, being a flying animal - nice choice. My respect, developers

Fantastic gameplay will not let you get bored.

I played for about 3 hours, but I want more and more!

I did not find any bugs in the game, a nice and understandable menu.

I advised the game to a friend, my friend also liked it)

If you have any doubts whether to buy the game or not? Buy it !! You won’t regret it !!

Beautycopter

Beautycopter

Another short charmer from the Deity Driving dev; the same good vibe of aesthetic absurdity in the environments and comedic sincerity from the characters, now with a mix of 3D environments and… whatever you call first-person 2D exploration.

When people say “I want shorter games with worse graphics”, this is what I’m hoping for more of (although let’s say “simpler graphics”, for anyone who conflates ‘graphics’ with ‘visuals’.)

Real player with 3.1 hrs in game

The game is good especially the music and the text to speech voice acting add to the atmosphere. The story is quite obscure, you explore the world with your Beautycopter, do some missions, and help some guests. The aesthetics add to the weirdness with the use of fake 3d.

The game is short and simple, you cannot save progress so you need to play the game in one go. There are a lot of funny achievements. This is definitely in the veins of Deity Driving in terms of style.
