Fishing Adventure

Fishing Adventure

Bought this on sale (AUD$0.75) and for that price it’s a steal!

I love fishing games and this one is very intuitive and simple… In saying that it is VERY simple… Controls are basic and easy to use, but graphics are also quite simple. I have yet to figure out how to move both oars in a boat at the same time, rather than going in circles or zigzagging..

I’m yet to unlock much of the gear and am still fine tuning controls, but I’m loving it.

7/10 Dragons - Just for the fun.

Was pleasantly surprised. A full fishing game for the price of UFS dlc, you can’t go wrong especially if you previously owned Pro Fishing as I got it for 80p!! Even at full price it’s worth it, and if you’re a glass half full sort of a person you’ll get a lot of fun and relaxation out of this game. The graphics are sharp and there is a workable clutch system that does the job. The fish look the part and splash and jump out of the water. The sound is nice. Yes it’s a mobile port (what do you expect for the price?), but it’s a successful port imo.

Cat Fish Island

Cat Fish Island

TLDR at the end of the review.

This is a chill, exploration game. It is short, you can get 100% completion in one hour.

Before I played this game, I was having a pretty bad game, but this game helped make my day a little bit better. You are an adveturer searching for legends and new experiences, and that’s when you arrive to the island in search of a legendary fish. The story is pretty simple and childish, but it doesn’t worsen the experience.

Gameplay: It’s okay, sometimes it feels a bit luck based, but if you use some technique you can easily catch any fish. The exploration is pretty good and smooth, allowing you to enjoy the island.

Euro Fishing

Euro Fishing

Ok, as a mature gamer and a UK course fisherman, i was intrigued the moment i saw this title. Mainly because it wasnt based on lure fishing for bass, which it seems 99% of fishing games are. The first thing that struck me on playing it was the beautifull training lake, it was a while before i even cast a rod out as i was strolling round the lake in awe of the lush scenery. I struggled a bit at first with the fishing mechanics, but soon got used to it, and with practice it became very natural and pretty dam realistic. Im so glad i stuck with it for a couple of hours and got to grips with the controls, because now after several updates and much practice i am enjoying this game more than ever and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Another much looked forward too title that sadly missed the mark. A lot of apologies for not keeping the community up to date and the threadbare team that has 3 platforms to work across. My heart bleeds. ( Don’t bite off more than you can chew). It is a very basic game with a casting the tackle to the water module that you would need a university degree to understand what the hell posessed them to make it so difficult.

The idea of hooking a fish no matter what size it is and watching it fall asleep half way across the lake also nulifies any reality as does the use of bubble Icons to tell you what the lake bed looks like, that you actually have a fish on the line!(err my rods bent and a fish is taking line I think I grasped the point I have hooked a fish). Casting your bait too a spot you want it to be at and then watch the bait move all on its own from 30 yards to under your feet or the line just suddenly goes slack.

Fishing: Barents Sea

Fishing: Barents Sea

Fishing: Barents Sea is destined to become a classic among those of us who have taken the plunge. This is what I refer to as a “Zen” game, akin to titles such as Euro Truck Simulator 2. I have 51 hours of play time as of this writing, and I have no doubt that I’ll be piling up far more hours very quickly.

This is a relaxing, but highly enjoyable title. When you have tired of fast paced games that require your undivided attention, this is a game that will keep you engaged, but also allow you to sit back in your chair and even converse with others as you play. But it is certainly not boring. There are a multitude of things to do, from various types of fishing, to upgrading your gear and boats, to simply taking a boat and heading out to sea to explore, which pays off in that you’ll discover new fishing and crabbing hot spots. And of course, you’ll need to name each of your boats, and decide what color you’d like to use in displaying the vessel’s name.

I’m loving this game so far, once I was able to buy my first boat the game changed for me. I felt so much excitment from getting a nice boat and switching from longline to using nets, also having a crew member on board to help out. You can fast travel but I like to travel in real time, also when you fast travel you do not get the miles you need to buy a new boat (each boat requires you to have traveled a certain amount of Km before you can purchase, which I don’t really like but understand.).

Here are some of the features in this game: You can mess with some of the items in the cabin like the light switches, the phone to change your crew members job, the comms to call for rescue and the GPS/Sonar. Your crew members can perform certain jobs such as cooking, cleaning the fish, hauling in the line, repair as well as rest as they will get tired after a while. You need to perform certain mini game tasks for either bringing in the longline or the net as well as gutting the fish which I’m not really a fan of as they can be tedious. The seasons in the game change as well and when they do so do the fish you can catch. There are some bugs in the game but at least for me nothing game breaking.

Fishing: North Atlantic - Enhanced Edition

Fishing: North Atlantic - Enhanced Edition

Ok so where do I start. The game title is fishing north Atlantic, well I’ll put it simple this does not show how we fish in eastern Canada what so ever. They basically took the equipment from Barents sea and put it here. we do not use that equipment it’s completely different. The lobster well the traps are wrong no one uses those anymore , no idea why they would put old fashioned traps and not the new style traps.

The crab fishing well let’s just say I guess they thought Alaska was part of the north Atlantic and made replicas of two deadliest catch boats the saga and northwestern. Like that’s a insult to me period. Iam a commercial fisherman from eastern Canada and that is no way near how crab is done around here period. I have no idea what they were thinking.

Edit: With the latest update the game looks brand new! Waves are now the best of any game I’ve played, and the storms and sunrise/sunsets are incredible.

The short and sweet: cool premise and setting, nice relaxing gameplay with a lot of glitches. The devs are really attentive, hard working, and passionate. One of my all time favorite games.

Huge thank you to the devs for this absolute gem!!!

This game is what I’ve been looking for, I found out about the deadliest catch PC game but it was only on disk and hard to find. For a long time I simply dreamed of a game like this. Fishing: Barents Sea came out, very mixed reviews in the beginning so I steered clear. This game launched, in an allbeit troublesome state.

Fantasy Farming: Orange Season

Fantasy Farming: Orange Season

I played 35 hours of this game in the last 5 days. I’m hooked.

There’s a severe lack of guides and information on some of the game’s aspects but the Developer and the small but loyal community are quick to respond to players' inquiries which is nice to see. There’s also a lot of carry-over knowledge for people like me who have played a lot of farming games.

Hopefully new art gets put into the game soon. The lack of portraits on some characters is a bit disorienting and ruins the immersion.

Music is great and simple. Art style is nice and pleasing. Story is there but needs to be expounded on. The dating aspect is also begging to be updated as, from what the Wiki provides, each candidate only has one romantic heart-event.

The developer was gracious enough to provide players with a demo with which you can play until Summer. I strongly recommend any fan of agricultural/farming games to try this beautiful and enchanting game.

I played the demo and loved the experience, the graphics are beautiful, the farming experience is there and I will add on this as I progress through the seasons.

One important thing I want to underline is that the game is in Early Access, things can and will change so please take that into account before deciding to take the plunge, things such as townspeople story events don’t seem fleshed out yet, we are expecting cooking to be introduced and a major update for the animals. Again, try the demo and ask questions, the developer is like a mother hen on the forums ^^

Fishing Sim World®: Pro Tour

Fishing Sim World®: Pro Tour

This game has the potential to become an awesome game. In fact, its still good and enjoyable.

Lets start with some good things:

  1. Graphics! Water, fish, enviroment.

  2. Feeling of the rod and the fish. I have tried some other fishing games. And I couldnt make myself love them because I couldnt feel the mass of the fish, the resistance of the fish and the rod. In Eurofishing and in this game as well, I have the feeling that I am really fighting with the fish. May be its achieved by the vibration may be its just me, but i really enjoy the feeling when fighting with the huge carp or catfish. I still think you can tweak the resistance of the fish to make it a bit harder.

I am a software engineer, have been working on triple A games as a UI developer and understand the constraints of game development. I am 50 and have been a gamer since I was 12. I love gaming and am especially very aware of what create a good immersion and what breaks it.

Coming from Ultimate Fishing Simulator I am enjoying Fishing Sim World, good graphics, atmospheric and the fish fighting/animations are much improved compared to euro fishing.

Good to see updates are coming at very regular intervals, here are a couple of improvements that I could suggest:

With all the F2P fishing games out there trying to suck on your wallet, and requiring you to be always Online, this B2P fishing game (you buy, you own the license) is really welcomed.

You have beautiful graphics, plenty of fish species and locations, and a pretty reasonable price, especially on sale, so why the negative review then?

The gameplay. Let’s start with the worst. The fishes' AI. Each fish species you fight pretty much feel the same. They don’t seem to have any difference in the way they behave on the end of the line. They also don’t really feel challenging. The gear also seem to have minimal impact on the challenge of a fight.

I’ve played Euro Fishing, Fishing Planet before this game also i’m great fisherman, pc programmer and sick gamer irl.

It’s early access game right now but really satisfying with a lot of things.

Gameplay, Physics etc…: I love float fishing in real life so i wanna talk about it first. If you are fan of fishing planet and if you love float fishing you should get this game right now. Float looks really realistic and you can use lead for float fishing, float doesn’t shake like crazy. You can see strikes on float nicely and correct. Bait options not that much like in Fishing Planet but satisfying. When you cast, you feel like in real. They have leveling system like Fishing Planet. You getting xp when you catch a fish and it’s asking do you wanna sell or release to get few more xp. You can buy rods, lines, hooks whatever you need for fishing. Catching is not easy like Fishing Planet and not same spot etc. It’s already borring if you repeat same thing. You can use spinning techniques. If you dying for fishing, if you don’t have lake close you i swear you’ll really enjoy in this game and you will feel satisfied.
