If your low on in game currency buy a few fishing boats wait a day you’ll have more money instantly. Then buy more boats level up repeat.

Took me about 10 - 15 minutes to complete. This game is honestly not worth $3 if you ask me. The only time I might recommend this game is if it goes on sale for the cheapest price Steam allows games to be currently, $0.49.

Ice Lakes
When it comes to pure Ice Fishing glory, the most realistic and fun ice fishing game out there is Ice Lakes. Being Canadian and a Fish/Wildlife Management graduate, I’ve done LOTS of fishing on icy Canadian lakes and rivers. This is the next best thing without being at the mercy of Mother Nature. This game is surely even better if you’re capable of obtaining a VR set. I unfortunately do not have one, but still enjoy the game very much as is.
There’s no cash store, so when you buy the game, you start off the same way as anyone else who starts playing the game. There’s no ‘god mode’ fishing gear sets to buy, or special fishing areas to unlock with real cash.

non-ironically the game that I enjoyed the most, even though I don’t have many hours
it’s not the game that is great, but all the stories you develop with your friends while you’re playing it
I mean, I enjoy the game, it doesn’t have much content, but it surely is very rewarding
but hear me out
when you play this game with your friends, it’s like everyone is reunited in person, there in the ice, chilling and fishing
you don’t have much action, you’re waiting for the fish, and you all start talking about random things you saw on reddit, something that happened at school/work or whatever, one thing leading to another, until you don’t even remember how the conversation began

i have played this from the begining and its change a lot since then i wish i could say it changed for the better this is what it says on the store page forget about catch rates choose a bait and catch fish but the catch rate was the only thing that made this game fun catching big fish trophy fish big or small sad to say that has change the bite rate is sooo bad now chances of catching big or rare fish is slime for me anyway was not allways the case the currency in this game is all a problem the dev has it so cant make good money in the very last map ur lucky if u make over 600 silver this is the highest level map in the game and u cant make more than that u use be able to do it but the dev saw this and and lowerd the value of the fish was a joke

With over 100 hours in game, I now feel that I can fairly review this.
I’ve tried all of the current fishing games incl. those only available in demo at the moment.
In my opinion this is the best by some margin but that by no means suggests that it is perfect - it definitely has some frustrations and rough edges.
Key points from my perspective
1. The care that has gone into this is unmistakable. The locations are atmospheric and varied.
2. The fishing mechanics feel great - in my view at least as good as any of the competitors.

A very relaxing game. The dev is very active and responds to questions quickly. I anticipate this to get even better with future updates.

Just awful! I have purchased the game “Fishing on the Fly”. Every time I try to play I have to wait 40 minutes to an hour for it to update. The Game freezes up, you cannot select flies, and when I save the game and return I have to start at the beginning. On the plus side, it would be an awesome game if the gremlins were worked out.

the developer no longer patches this game as he has not been seen for nearly a year.

I have recently found a new game 3d Arcade Fishing, so I have decided to give it a spin. The first thing I liked about the game is graphics. It looks really good, with animated water and swimming fish. I also liked the fact that not only I can choose my avatar, but I actually play with the person of my choice. As I didn’t like too much menu music I really found the in-game sound soothing and relaxing - just like real fishing would do. There are some minor issues with animated fish underwater but I believe that developer will fix it soon - it is very fresh game after all. The game mechanics are fairy common - you throw, you wait and you pull - everything what is expected from a fishing game. There is a variety of places where you can fish along with a selection of rods and other fishing equipment. All in all I really like the game and wish that this one will improve and get polished in time.
