Shattered Hourglass

Shattered Hourglass

My take on Shattered Hourglass.

I have played this game 6-8 times since the first version. I never tire of it. I have played all endings which are based on your choices and Karma points. I have always enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anyone who likes a game with so many ways to play it. The optional dungeons are tough but, the rewards are great. One game, I put over 200 hours into it. So, 15-20 hours is just getting warmed up.

Depending on the path you chose, you may meet different characters and also experience gameplay that is only available during that particular path.

I’ve been playing this game since late 2014.I have played through all paths and grew quite fond of the Karma system!

It’s on my top 3 RPG Games of all times!

I definitely love Neutral path and the way my choices play out in the end.

PS: Zulwhern is a creep and Juliet just predictable, but Duran and Mio are my go to.

This was the first game that really made me see my choices being important. Being able to choose my own path and handle consequences, both story wise and mechanically wise, were a gamechanger for me.

A pretty fun little game where you take on a rampaging gang of thugs, ghosts and other unsavory folk. Very fun for such a simple title.

No Exit : Torments of Hell

You’re a bat who can’t fly - only spider sling. Don’t touch the ground or you’ll die. Simple addicting and at times frustrating - but in the fun way that you’ll want to try again.

Full disclosure: I received this game from the developer because I already own some of their software products.

Quite a deceptively tricky little game. You basically need to go from one end of a level to the next using a grappling hook, but of course as you progress the game throws more challenges. Interface is simple as are the controls, the graphics are good and the sound track varied, and you have a campaign mode and an endless mode to challenge yourself with.

I’m just going to start off by saying I have nothing but praise for this game. With that said I know most STEAM users are going to look at the price point for this and think, “They’ve GOT to be out of their minds!” No they aren’t This game is packed with so much content that I don’t think there’s a single game of its kind that can topple. I’ll even say that you couldn’t even combine 3 or 4 games together to get the amount of content that this game has to offer fans of the genre.

Aesthetically this game brings a simple and clean presentation to the table. The UI for ship combat is clean and simple to understand without too much info bombarding the player while they are struggling to keep their ship from a fiery demise. The 3D models are low in the polygon department, yet beautifully designed. Everything from simple cannon fodder enemies to the enormous bosses look great.

Shmups have always been a part of my gaming career. I was never good at them like all the experts going for high scores and 1CC runs, but I always tried to prove my worth regardless. I also always looked at shmups as a ‘David vs. Goliath’ scenario; a small, one man fighter versus entire fleets and empires. And what better game to start my shmup career on Steam than Dariusburst Chronicle Saviors? Part of Taito’s Darius series and home console / PC version of Dariusburst, there’s a lot of content to go around in this game. After clocking close to 72 hours of play, is the game worth the price tag and separate DLC? Let’s find out.

e-River Cabin Journal

Once upon a time, I got fed up with city life and decided to move to Alaska, live in the middle of no where and get away from it all.

I didn’t know jack and froze to death the first night.

Twice upon a time, I got fed up with the city and left for a cabin in the middle of Alaska.

I still didn’t know jack, (and didn’t really know that I didn’t know jack) and died two days later.

Thrice upon a time, … yeah I got fed up with the city and bought a cabin in the middle of Denali National Park in Alaska.

This game 100% is not for everyone.. The Devs have made this prettty ckear,, I did some homework on this one.. It’s not an easy game..At times I am left scratching my head.. Getting started (In my case in the Oct) is tougher then any game I’ve ever played…. you log into a cold cabin with no firewood.. you can’t even read as it’s just too cold.. meaning you have to go try to chop wood first.. I got hammered by a bear,,, managed to kill him then simply walked away from the tree I dropped…. (why not just go back and finis?) so you lose the energy.. have to try again and hope to God you can just manage to get enough wood to warm light the fire and get the cabin warm enough to read……

Survive on Raft

Survive on Raft

I purchased this game by accident when it first came out, fully expecting that I was buying the actual Raft game. turns out I got stuck with this weak game and Steam wouldn’t refund my money…

I played it for a while and it was severely limited but at least back then the developers were a little more involved and made lots of promises to improve the game and fix the numerous bugs that were present.

anyways, I let it sit for a number of years and recently downloaded up all the updates and reinstalled the game. although cumbersome and mind numbing, I was hoping to explore the updates, ie, going to the islands and experiencing that aspect of gameplay. Turns out that some of the best features that were present when the game was first introduced were no longer working and finding an umbrella in order to build the island scanner which would allow the player to seek out the “islands” and further explore the game is practically nonexistent.

not the raft i was looking for but i paid so put hrs into it regardless.

its not good. it kept my interest for about 10 hrs at which point i realized there was nothing more to the game, but its not intuitive, there’s not any endgame or point that i can find, when you get new items for leveling up its just a better version of what you already have not something new, and not multiplayer which is what i bought it (the wrong game) in the first place.

im down $5, which is over priced for the content, and am now going to drop another $20 for the game i wanted in the first place.
