Farm Life: Natures Adventure
Poorly optimised android port and/or an unfinished port. But as not in early access approach this as a full game.
Way too buggy, including game ending faults at the moment. Not sure the game will contain enough levels to even compete within the genre with the gameplay coming across as cookie cutter. The engine feels clunky and delayed.
The fun of the game is not coming from challenge or story for me.
The tutorial shouldn’t even exist as it explains the easier sections of the game, then does not even touch on the more complex areas and the help files aren’t helpful.

Veeeeery clunky controls and game breaking bugs. The first time the game hicked up completely, couldn’t even get past entering all the data for creating the farm. On the second save I bought a milktool by accident and every NPC now says “Thanks for buying that.”, rendering me unable to purchase anything. I also have one strawberry seed I can plant endlessly. Developer, try harder please.

Survive or Thrive
Secret word: Purge
Chance of survival: Extremely High
Sorry, but I’m not satisfied with this test. The mind gymnastics was nice but I left this test not finding a closure. I wish Steve would start cracking up a joke or become heart-to-heart with me, just like the other test givers.
The questions are disorganized and far too odd. I don’t see the pattern leading up to my first answer.
On the good side, the music is fine. The ending managed to make me feel… an unknown yet strong emotion. I can’t quite put my finger on it. The questions do make me think about what really matters to me in a life or death situation,

Kinda like those psychological tests you can do on the internet, but more fun.
I like to review hypothetical scenarios and think about how I would actually choose in those situations.
Like all kinds of those tests tho, some questions could really use some more context or additional Information as sometimes several choices could be the “best choice” for survival, depending on the circumstances of the individual situation.
My result was: Very high chances of survival on the mental asylum through planning and manipulation of the other patients and the asylum staff.

Winter Survival Simulator
What was supposed to be a nice winter hike in the Mount Washington State Park with friends, turned into a dire situation. You are left alone to fight for your survival. With only marginal supplies you have to fight off of the cold, the wildlife and find your way to an abandoned ranger station in hope to be able to call for help.
While you haven’t suffered any injuries during the fall, you lost your backpack and hence most of your gear and supplies. You will need to find shelter, find some food and rest. Then it’s about making your way to an old ranger station to call for rescue.
Sounds easy enough, doesn’t it? It is, except for the supplies you are going to need for the trip, the weather, the freezing cold, not to mention the wildlife. The goal of the game is to survive. To prepare enough to make the trip to the ranger station and to deal with all the surprises along the journey.
Hunt or be hunted. You have no rifle and there is no combat. If you encounter wolfs or even a bear, stay away and run. You won’t be able to kill a bear with a knife, it’s not the movies.
What you can do is be clever about the wildlife and set traps. You might even be able to find some traps hunters left behind and use them to maintain a safe perimeter or to hunt smaller animals for food. Tracking, establishing the best spot and being patient is what the hunt will be about.
Cold, thirst, hunger and exhaustion are the four major factors you have to worry about. It doesn’t however end there. Injuries are another one and there is the weather. Spending the night in the freezing cold without any shelter is akin to a death sentence and trying to go out in a snow storm isn’t any better either. Don’t forget, weather in the mountains changes quickly and is unpredictable. You have to be prepared at all times.
You are not the first one person in this area. There have been many before you. More than a century ago some even lived here. If you explore your surroundings there is a good chance they may have left something behind that will still be useful to you. And while building a shelter on your own is certainly an option, it is a lot better and safer to adapt something that already exists.
You could find an old hunter lodge and fix it up to offer decent shelter and a base of operations for you to prepare, gather supplies and food and even hunt. You are going to have a long trip ahead of you. The better you prepare, the less risky it will be.
The rescue isn’t going to be instant. Despite modern equipment and well trained mountain rescue personnel, you are far away and their helicopter can’t take off in any weather. Between you calling for help and help actually arriving might take even a couple of days. Additional time you have to survive in the bitter cold at Mount Washington.

Farmer’s Life: Prologue
Really enjoyed playing this game. I had trouble with lag but lowered the graphics and now everything plays fine and still looks alright.
So far, I’ve played the tutorial. I played another game collecting everything I could find until the demo was over. Played another game, collected eggs, made food on the stove and cut the field to plant when it stopped. The next game I’ll see what else I can do.
It’s the only historical farming game I’ve found. Others say they’re historical, but they really aren’t.

1/15/21-Please remember this is a demo and give it a fair chance. I really enjoyed it. This is my kind of game and is unique in it’s story line. If you are confused as to what to do, follow Fluffy the pig. He is smarter than the main character and will show the way.
This game has a ton of potential. I’m not going to be critical because this demo is so new but I will gladly hand over my money to buy it when or if it is ever released as a full game. The possibilities are endless if they continue forward with this.

Arctic Anxiety
This is in fact a nice game and it should be a nice game and because of that i made this post so no offense the developer.

This is a really cool survival game and is really challenging. Early development and developer is active. Game is a great purchase, I picked it up for $4.99 how can you go wrong.
–———————- UPDATE November 2021 ————————
OK my above review I hold true to and I like the game but some time has passed, there hasn’t been an update of a pep from the developer, it appears this game is abandoned but who knows.
I will say there has been a few updates last year 2020 but until you see some progress with this game I would not suggest purchasing it.

e-River Cabin Journal
Once upon a time, I got fed up with city life and decided to move to Alaska, live in the middle of no where and get away from it all.
I didn’t know jack and froze to death the first night.
Twice upon a time, I got fed up with the city and left for a cabin in the middle of Alaska.
I still didn’t know jack, (and didn’t really know that I didn’t know jack) and died two days later.
Thrice upon a time, … yeah I got fed up with the city and bought a cabin in the middle of Denali National Park in Alaska.

This game 100% is not for everyone.. The Devs have made this prettty ckear,, I did some homework on this one.. It’s not an easy game..At times I am left scratching my head.. Getting started (In my case in the Oct) is tougher then any game I’ve ever played…. you log into a cold cabin with no firewood.. you can’t even read as it’s just too cold.. meaning you have to go try to chop wood first.. I got hammered by a bear,,, managed to kill him then simply walked away from the tree I dropped…. (why not just go back and finis?) so you lose the energy.. have to try again and hope to God you can just manage to get enough wood to warm light the fire and get the cabin warm enough to read……

Get Rich or Die Gaming
I got this game in a bundle before, so I was not as irritated as some people who paid full price.
It has a number of bugs in it - one causes the game to crash. It is pretty short (under 10 minutes), art is okay, the whole thing is kind of something you would have seen on Newgrounds before.
The best part of the game was the business dude conversations which ended up making me laugh.
I don’t recommend buying it, instead just go watch the 5 min let’s play of it.

Sailwind
I ran into this game purely by chance and decided to take a gamble on it. What I discovered was far beyond by wildest expectations.
Yes there are some bugs here and there. That being said for a game that came out effectively a month ago, it’s very polished and the basic game loop is well implemented. The mechanics are easy to understand and relatively challenging to master.
The pacing is interesting as you can literally be sailing on a flat as a pan sea one minute and riding whitecaps while trying not to flip the next. Furthermore the pleasure of navkgating by the stars and sun successfully is indescribable. The game really captures the act of sailing into the unknown very well to the point where you’ll be sailing on a sing an a prayer at first.

The feeling of finally spotting a speck of land on the horizon was indescribable. After 10 days of battling storms and unfavorable winds in the open ocean, while striving to navigate with medieval technology, the relief and satisfaction of reaching your destination is unmatched.
This game will have you learning how to navigate and tell time by the stars, and properly rig a sailing ship. When conditions are rough, you will be constantly running around your ship, trying to keep your heading and fight the winds. When the weather is calm and you know you’re on course, you can pass the time fishing or sleeping. It’s a great balance of simulation and fun. If you enjoy games like Spintires or Railroads Online, or if you simply want to experience life as a 15th century merchant, this game is an absolute must.
