LEGRAND LEGACY: Tale of the Fatebounds
LEGRAND LEGACY: Tales of the Fatebounds is a wasted potential, but overall still comes out as decent and enjoyable experience made by developers who listen to the community.
RATING: 6/10.
I’ll start off with what I dislike:
-
Sub-par narrative. - WARNING spoiler potential
The game started off nicely. Party members were interesting with their own distinct personalities, backgrounds, and personal issues. Along the way, they found themselves in disagreements, having trust issues, while they needed to face trials to test their “worth”. With this scenario, you would expect each character to have a personal development throughout the game, right? BUT THE GAME SAYS HELL NO. You are going to see this pattern very often: At first, let’s be friends! - A moment later, fck you I don’t trust you! - And then a moment later, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, my bad - aaand a moment later, fck you all I’m done with this shit!. Some party member have either bipolar disorder, or they are just a bunch of idiots who do not learn from their mistakes.

My review on this game, POSSIBLE SPOILERS.
Story: 6/10
The story was interesting, big war going on, chosen ones coming together to put a stop to it. Characters developing overtime as experience shape them up to be the heroes fate chose them to be. Sadly that is not really seen here. The story is interesting and the concept is cool but without developing characters to push the story to be interesting I found myself being beyond bored with the story. I love fantasy elements in RPGs and a in depth story to boot. However, I just couldn’t get behind the characters in the story because of the constant issues that kept arising throughout the journey. The plot empathizes that the Fatebound must work together and share a common purpose yet whenever there is a secret behind each character (which of course there is), the whole party loses their focus and doubts everything over and over. Even after finishing the trials that test the party to find common ground and work together, the characters in this party is purely glass and shatters at the mention of a “secret.” The concept of the story was really cool and could have been expanded upon but I just got bored, sometimes it picks up and gets interesting but then oh no this guy was secretly super evil “How could you not tell us?.”

Lakeview Valley
The Elevator Pitch:
It’s like “8-bit Horror Groundhog Day: The Game.”
Only, it’s really more like “Groundhog Week”, and you’ve traded the meteorology for murder.
The Meat & Potatoes (& Amy’s Cookies):
I absolutely LOVED Lakeview Cabin Collection, so when I found out that the sole developer of LVC, Roope Tamminen, had just recently released his latest game, I couldn’t wait to give it a try.
It quickly and effortlessly surpassed my already-rather-lofty expectations…
-There is a staggering amount of content in this game.

Lakeview Valley is a refreshing take on the genre of Small Town RPG games that I have thorougly been enjoying. After playing more than 45 hours of it I haven’t even brushed the surface of what this game offers and am still getting a handle on what I’m doing.
You play some guy who moved to a new town where nothing is as it seems and you can choose to be whatever you want. I think this game is amazing and I can’t believe I didn’t pick it up from day one.
Want to be a normal guy living a normal life and get to know people and be helpful in your community while remodeling your home? Do it!

I played this game when I was a kid and found it again on here years later. It’s still as fun as I remember it being, and I would definitely recommend checking this one out.

Lake of Creatures
Lake of Creatures is a fast-paced action fishing roguelike, where you’re on a quest to hunt down a mythical lake monster. Increase your odds against the beast by finding loot, while traversing through randomly generated lakes riddled with hostile creatures. Catching and selling fish is mandatory, since buying more equipment will further improve your chances of success.
FEATURES:
- Randomly Generated Runs
Each time you start a new run, new lakes are generated containing different enemies, items and layouts! No run will be the same.
- Combat Modifying Item Synergies
The items you collect define a run. If you manage to find items that synergize well together, you might become an unstoppable killing machine. Getting overpowered is always fun.
- Exciting Fishing
This game doesn’t portray fishing like in real life, because in this game the fish actually does bite. You don’t have infinite time to wait for the bite though, as the night approaches fast bringing out scary ghosts, who lurk in the bushes.
- Fast-Paced Juicy Combat With Roguelike Elements
Satisfying twin-stick shooter, with classic roguelike features, like permadeath, random world generation and gameplay modifying items.
