最后的47小时 - The Last 47 Hours

I like this visual novel to be honest. I think the art design is nice and the story is okay. I Recommend.

The story is alright, nothing extremely special. Felt a little bit rushed. The art itself is pretty good and same goes for music production. There are other visual novels I’d recommend other than this one, but go ahead if you wanna read this one :)

Dead-End Detective: The Sixpence Strangler

Dead-End Detective: The Sixpence Strangler

Set in the 1950s, and with jokes and double entendres that have all the subtlety of many of the comedy shows of that time, this is a reasonable reproduction of a typical police yarn of that period. This is more a visual novel with choices than an actual game, though you do get to create the character of the protagonist. You play as a police Inspector out to catch a serial killer and during your enquiries you meet the staple characters from that period: the complaining neighbour, the vampish bar girl, the ribald sailors and a pair of constables, one of whom is an eager and ambitious young man, and the other a typical cynical policeman who has seen it all, as well as a jealous colleague who resents your success. Its set in a cold, wet and wintry London.

Lurkers

Lurkers

Lurkers #recommended for people who lurk, sorry I had to insert bad jokes here, is a BL Visual Novel where it sets in Victorian England when the Jack The Ripper’s cases took place. As Eddy Nichols, avenge your mother’s death #if your Main Character is a whore’s son, sounds promising while seeking for your love. #what a smart boy, never losing a chance.

[olist]PROS:

  • A variety of white, classical, and thriller music #really puts you on the shoes, not on the socks.

Lurkers

Developer: Ertal Games

Publisher: Ertal Games

Pros:

1. With the plot following our protagonist seeking justice for the murder of his mother by Jack the Ripper, it uses an interesting integration of light romance among the 2 love interests; Chris and William.

2. Having 3 characters with different desires eventually turning into 1 common goal was done quite well, especially how different William, Eddy, and Chris are. It all starts to add up once more information is obtained on the hunt for Jack the Ripper.

One Night on Halloween

Have only achieved one ending so far and i’m already excited to see the rest of them, the visual style is unique and the dialogue/options you’re presented are aplenty.

If you like VN’s please do yourself a favor and pick this one up, the asking price is that of a cheeseburger and it is 100% worth your time.

TeleNovela

TeleNovela

A fill-in-the-blanks Visual Novel with 11 achievements. Lots of game abuse potential, don’t waste it.

Great fun playing by yourself, but even better with a group either as helpers or just an audience to your artistic genius. Attempting to play this seriously is prohibited by law. There is a requirement to fit in as many double entendres as possible. Mixing languages and making people use Google Translate earns you double points. There are no points.

In TeleNovela you get the chance to produce your own TV soap opera. How is that possible? Well this is basically a fill in the blanks story where you can write your own names for the characters and define some other stuff. That is a really well known concept in its own and something most of you at least did when they were young, however I havent seen a single VN in that specific format which made this a nice diversion from the norm. I can only recommend to try to put in as funny options as you can think of cause I really had to laugh at the outcome at one point. Apart from that this is a pretty typical soap opera story you will regularly find on tv. You also get to play detective in the end, at least a little bit :).

Wonder Cave

Wonder Cave

Nice idea but a bit laggy/buggy. First time we opened it, we couldn’t even open a game. Second time, we heard none of Jafar’s opening dialogue. Few other times it felt laggy. Also, we accidentally closed the game after hitting Exit on accidentally hitting Menu - our fault, but the lack of “ARE YOU SURE” box wasn’t cool.

Puzzle wise - rotate everything, look everywhere. I’d have preferred more puzzles around clues.

Awesome game! I played it with my brother and indeed it was not easy!

If you like playing quests, this is definitely for you! I found it really entertaining when you’re playing with somebody rather then alone! It’s very challenging and exciting! Highly recommended!

Escape to Moscow

Another interesting game ruined by horrible translation to English. Prepositions are almost nonexistent, plural forms are wrong and … well, just awful. Really a shame.

I liked this VN for the story and giving an interesting insight to dagestan culture. Touches little infos about cities and religion there and also about poetry and poets. Though not part of the game I even read about the Mikail Lermontow disaster for the first time ;-)

English translation has little bugs, but no problem at all.

I also liked the nice graphics

tl;dr At the bottom.

Usually this type of a review doesn’t happen, especially with visual novels, but there’s a fine difference between releasing a free and a paid product. Now with a paid one you’d probably expect something more, either be it the graphics, the grappling story or just the music/atmosphere. This game has none of it (insert random face that moment when a FREE visual novel is much better than a paid one). It felt like a rushed project out of mspaint. Now on to the point why I decided to rate this game negatively.
