Evdeki Lanet

Evdeki Lanet

Had a ton of fun with Evdeki Lanet. Great atmosphere, great scares, a few unique ideas that I haven’t experienced in other horror games, a little short and simple at times - with a few moments that left a something to be desired, but overall, in my opinion, a great first game from two young developers. Very excited to see what they create next.

So, I got this game key two days prior to the release. I played the game, and it was very fun to play, the jump scares in this game were some of the best I’ve ever seen. The jump scares actually made me terrified. HOWEVER, the game is a little short for me. Everything that you really needed was easy to find (the keys were basically the only thing to find). I wish it was a little longer, add something more to it.

SPOILER ALERT

When you get to the end, its nothing really spooky about it, that’s just it. It ends.

Eyes of the Night

Eyes of the Night

Eyes of the night is a very fun game yet is still very simple to learn and play. After downloading the game I very quickly found myself enthralled in the games ominous and captivating environment and couldn’t help but play “just one more game” trying to evade the wolves and beat my score from the previous round. The game seems to be well made and I can’t wait to see what the future updates will bring to the experience. Overall, the game is very fun and if you have five dollars laying around I highly recommend you give this game a shot.

Atmospheric and Entertaining

I haven’t spent too much time playing it yet, but Eyes of the Night is a very entertaining game. The gameplay is simple, yet good, and the world design and music creates an atmospheric experience. I think that it’s worth noting that the music reminded me a lot of that of the Amnesia series, which I adore. Overall, I recommend checking this out! It’s fun, inexpensive and a good way to support indie developers making unique games.

Memories Of Loneliness

Memories Of Loneliness

Just streamed it and I actually really loved this game. At one point, one of the drawings didn’t appear and I had to start over, but not too big of a deal. I really loved the ambient sounds and the jumpscares really got me. At $6 I highly recommend.

Great horror walking sim where you will wonder what happens next. Suspenseful which makes the game interesting. Would be nice to add a weapon, and a few more jumpscares where you can battle against. Otherwise not bad for the price.

O.V.N.I. Abduction

O.V.N.I. Abduction

I originally down-voted due to the inability to invert the Y axis. A developer has informed that this has been fixed so I will change to a positive for now and revisit once I’ve had time to play with the new settings. I also see that they’ve added options to edit the graphics, sound, resolution, etc so that’s goo!

The way this game goes from P.T. to Earth Defense Force is funny.

Slow start, but great atmosphere. Ending was pretty meh tho.

Super short alien game at a decent price. Check it out.

After the first 40 minutes of The Lighthouse, I had a strong feeling that this is one of the most complete and excellent projects in Early Access that I saw in Steam. And after 20 minutes the game is over. It ended only at this point in time (according to the roadmap laid out by the developers, there will still be a huge amount of content in it), the game is still in Early Access. Impressions are fantastic so far. Before us is a traditional thriller about a detective who has lost his child in the past, and is now slowly drinking, who goes to a mysterious house at the lighthouse to look for adventures (perhaps the last in his life). Despite this traditional complication, the game manages to avoid the traditional traps that await horror games, and make the appearance of high-quality frightening games so rare. There is no blood or jumpscares. Seriously, there are no jumpscares in the 2019 horror game. I have nothing against them as a whole, but to make them a quality element that would not look ridiculous is an incredibly difficult task that requires tremendous effort. And sometimes it’s easier to put these efforts on other elements, as is done here.

Now how exactly does the game feel? Rest assured I promise controls are not annoying nor a bother. Their simple and easy to remember, picture taking a first person crafting game and just make it more of a puzzle type with a suspenseful environment that doesn’t focus on jump scares.

From the walk through video above it is in Early Access, so if there is any sort of lags or glitches that’s normal. While playing through which that video of my early access gameplay doesn’t feature commentary like we had on the other videos. Instead it was to engage in the gameplay, allowing the atmosphere and Mimi Page’s chilling music work its way down to your spine, sending goosebumps through out your whole body.

THIS WAS SO GOOD! The feeling I had with my mates on the ol' dabloon sailor ship when we killed that wench was poggers

Real player with 1.4 hrs in game

This was a pretty good game. Gave me a few scares and was only $2. Overall was fun and worth the money. The only downside I had was with the last maze. I am not sure if the encounters are random or not but there was essentially around 20 minutes or so of nothing happening and me just wandering around in the dark. I felt like that made the ending pretty lackluster. It would have been better if there were more effects or sounds of something chasing you or near you. Other than that it was a pretty good game. Lurkers

Lurkers

Lurkers #recommended for people who lurk, sorry I had to insert bad jokes here, is a BL Visual Novel where it sets in Victorian England when the Jack The Ripper’s cases took place. As Eddy Nichols, avenge your mother’s death #if your Main Character is a whore’s son, sounds promising while seeking for your love. #what a smart boy, never losing a chance.

[olist]PROS:

  • A variety of white, classical, and thriller music #really puts you on the shoes, not on the socks.

Lurkers

Developer: Ertal Games

Publisher: Ertal Games

Pros:

1. With the plot following our protagonist seeking justice for the murder of his mother by Jack the Ripper, it uses an interesting integration of light romance among the 2 love interests; Chris and William.

2. Having 3 characters with different desires eventually turning into 1 common goal was done quite well, especially how different William, Eddy, and Chris are. It all starts to add up once more information is obtained on the hunt for Jack the Ripper.

The Gap

The Gap

Imagine. If you had lost it all - your family, your memories, your life. Who would you trust? Could you trust yourself?

The Gap is a hard sci-fi first person narrative exploration thriller. While you have to unravel the mystery through a few puzzles, the game mainly focuses on the narrative, atmosphere and environmental storytelling.

The year is 2045. Dizzily, you wake up, lying on the floor of a dishevelled apartment. Who are you? What and where is this place? Is there anybody around? All that is left of recent human contact are confusing messages written across the apartment. The reddish light of a setting sun makes up an eerie atmosphere. You may try to escape, but the entrance is locked. Feeling like you could black out anytime soon, you decide to explore the apartment.

Certain documents you come across offer you a glimpse into your ostensible past as Joshua Hayes, a neuroscientist who’s made some questionable life choices. Inevitably, your mission becomes piecing together the missing fragments of your past, solving the mystery of your and your family’s affliction.
