Trials of Argolis
I’ve done a lot of testing for this game and nearly every time was a joy (bridge boy frustrates me sometimes!! ;-;). Very fluid and smooth first-person combat with challenging bosses and fast paced action. The handpainted artwork lends a really neat aesthetic and overall it looks gorgeous. A great dynamic in play styles despite the rather simple controls and each boss has a particular gimmick to it. Lots of content and deffo worth a buy! ;_; eek

The Automatician
Cons:One of the main problem with this game is that it only takes around 2 or less hours to complete it. I also feel as though the story was unfinished. I wish maybe that we could play as Emma when she is the automatician. I also found a key that you can pick up and never found the meaning of it. In the room where the fountain is there is a door that is locked that i thought the mystery key was for. What are all those do not enter signs on those doors about. Why didn’t I ever get to go upstairs. Who are the people that I’m competing with?

Too short, too many bugs, too little response from “developers” (read that “students who have graduated”). This is a fairly clever little game that was not really ready to become a product before, it appears, the course it was written for ended.
We never could figure out how to get into the secret room, even though we must have “solved” the game, as the credit roll came up after we solved the last puzzle. But, there were a couple of unchecked items still on our list of quests. Worse, one of the walkthroughs clearly shows that same item marked as completed just after an action that one would expect to complete it, yet that did not get it marked completed when we took that action ourselves.

DESYNC
Note: Havent beaten the game yet at all. this is an overview.
I could describe this game as something like the first shadow warrior reboot (Singleplayer Arena FPS)+ something like Devil May Cry (Character action). The first because you go from room to room shooting enemies and dodging them through a dash move (shift) and circlestrafing. The second because of a focus on varying up attacks to score and rank higher in the leaderboards.
It’s nothing like the original doom which is full of corridors and hitscan enemies causing you to need to use your enviorment as cover and full of exploration and secrets to uncover. More like the Doom Reboot, you’ll be going from wide open arena to wide open arena truly dodging enemies with just melee and projectile attacks, with weapons that are also only projectiles. You’ll need situational awareness and prediction skills to not suddenly get caught off guard by the various enemy types off screen. A big difference is that there’s much more of a focus on enviormental kills compared to any other fps I’ve played.

Contrary to what all the reviews about this game said (style over substance, only the music being worth -I got the OSTs oh yep-, that it was unfairly hard and frustrating, with a lot of questionable mechanics, etc., etc.), I found it to actually be pretty good and challenging! Yes, you are going to DIE. A LOT. Like a b!tch. The first boss is going to make you cry out in frustration until you realize melee attacks can be dashed with some slight invincibility frames.
Truth to be told it’s clear this game has been patched out a lot since its original release in 2017, showing some commendable care and dedication from the devs. The graphical effects and glitches aren’t as noticeable as the things I saw in old videos now, everything plays smooth and silky and each enemy tends to have its distinct movement and attack patterns. The melee ones are a bit on the unpredictable side due to how fast they are so you can see them telegraphing attacks like you would in a third person action game (say, most Platinum games) and, indeed, that’s what this game reminded me of. A Platinum game in FPS form with a layer of REZ (not just Tron, people, jeez, learn to digital world) type of ambience full of geometrical figures and odd techno-babble akin to invading a system.

Outlaws + A Handful of Missions
Outlaws is an old game, thus it can be finiky with modern computers. I myself, aside from having to disable the joystick options every time I ran the game to stop it from strafing left, had no REAL problems getting the game to run on my modern system. That being said, know before you buy that you might encounter some issues that might impede you from playing until you get the problem sorted out. NOTE–Don’t forget to setup your game with the nglide_config.exe, located in your Outlaws game folder. I myself didn’t know about the .exe until I was nearly done with the game, and ended up playing in a low resolution, instead of my native one. Some of these settings can also help you get the game running, if you’re having problems.

Advanced for its time, bit of a pain to get it to run, amazing ‘orchestral’ score.
Unfortunately the gameplay is a little simple, consisting of moving through semi-sandbox environments to hunt down your targets, explore for secrets (blowing up walls, solving puzzles), ‘rescuing’ civilians and surviving shootouts and ambushes.
Harder difficulties make the game far more ‘realistic’, where both you and enemies die in one to three shots, where despite the enemies definitely stay around the same range (mostly standard mooks with minibosses thrown in), the maps definitely become more complex (navigation and interaction wise). All in all, fairly straight forward and run of the mill.

I Expect You To Die 2
I Expect You To Die 2 is the second game in a VR escape room, puzzle game with an action twist. In the game you play as spy who is on a mission to defeat the evil, Dr. Zor. The game is played seated, and contains 6 levels, and a speedrun challenge and secret achievements for each level.
The game has 6 extremely well designed levels, each with their own piece of the story, and different puzzels that can be very difficult to figure out. In each level you need help stop one of Zor’s plans, without dying to the many traps. Each of the 6 levels this game offers include a unique setting, unique mechanics, and unique achievements. These achievements always include a speed run, and a bunch of secret ones which range from picking up hidden items, to beating the levels in a completely different way. The speedruns are very cool, as a level that takes 15 minutes the first couple times, could have a speedrun of 2 minutes. This is because some items have multiple uses, and some puzzles have multiple ways to complete them.

Synth Riders
This is the rhythm game you want if you want to dance!
Line your hands up with the incoming target balls - as opposed to my other favorite VR rhythm game, there’s no need to strike them, it’s all about just being there at that time. There an option to enable the strike mechanic instead, but it really doesn’t work that well here, especially above the first difficulty setting or 2. Also on difficulty: there are 5 difficulties to choose from. From super-easy-going Beginner to flail-like-you’re-convulsing-from-a-seizure Master, there is room for everyone here. There is even the Spin-360 Degree mode available for every song for when you don’t want to just face forwards. If you’re looking to get down with friends or strangers online, there is multiplayer waiting for you.

coming from expert mode on beatsaber, i actually found this game a challenge at first.. despite people claiming it was easier!
imo it wasnt (but synthriders is more fun imo)
i was soon playing expert after hard (with a little encouragement from friends)
and now around 20 hrs in have even managed to complete a few songs on “master” difficulty!
its got similar practice tools to beat saber, (speed up, slow down, section practice etc)
i personally think this game is better than beatsaber, despite me playing both frequently! sometimes in the same session.

Hasfax
If YOU don’t get lost and find everything quickly get though it in an hour. I say for the price it is worth it. It is an interesting mystery that kept me playing just to figure out what the heck was going on in this creepy building .

Review brought to you by:
TentacleBunny’s Cozy Cottage
Developed and published by HorseGames, Hasfax saw its way on Steam early this year. It managed to get some attention from horror fans, and so far maintains an overall Mixed score. I always have a hard time checking Indie Horror games, simply by the fact that many of them are generic and rushed.
Hasfax however, is neither. It’s not the latest sensation, of course, in fact, it’s quite far from it, but it’s interesting, well made, and not falling into mediocre concepts overly seen already. On the same level as its horror orientation, players are motivated to explore, always with a crippling fear behind the ear, and I really like that. Visuals and atmosphere combined to create a presence, one that haunts you.

Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut
Q.U.B.E, aka Quick Understanding (of) Block Extrusion, is an action puzzle game where you control various rooms with blocks.
This Director’s Cut version is a small, but needed expansion to the game. Some of the wording may be similiar from my Q.U.B.E review.
Graphics: The graphics is blocks. No seriously…what were you expecting me to type? Anyways, the majority of the rooms you go through will be made of opaque white blocks. The blocks you can control are in colors. Yeah, that’s it. Just to put it short, it is simple.

QUBE tries to be Portal.
Portal was a good puzzle game for two reasons. The first was that it had good puzzles- plenty of available options at any given time, a few moments of dexterity but mostly contemplation, and several solutions to puzzles. The second was that it was a good game- smooth difficulty curve, solid atmosphere, and a surprisingly hilarious antagonist.
QUBE fails at having good puzzles (or puzzles at all) due to the inherent limitations in its mechanics. You use your magnet glove (or something, it’s never explained) to push or pull colored cubes from the walls. And… that’s it. Different colors do different things, and you can rotate/move a few specifically marked walls, but there’s no depth here. At any given moment you have maybe 5 options to work through, and only 1 might work, so you do it and that’s what QUBE considers a puzzle. There are also a lot of moments of platforming dexterity or somewhat precise timing to move a cube to guide a ball into a goal to move on. Should you mess up one of these ball sections, you’ll need to reset all the parts manually and try again.

Santa Claws
Give the perfect gift
Even Santa can have a mental breakdown. Let’s face it our modern world is becoming too much for the old guy. He is just one cookie away from….(find out in the game). This season give the perfect gift to your Steam friends. Sure, this game is cheap and devoid of substance, but its entertainment value is unmatched for its price. My son, after playing, is no longer looking forward to seeing Santa this year. I’m kind of glad because it costs a ton for pictures with him at the mall. Enjoy

Had a lot of fun playing this game, can’t beat the price and its festive for the time of the year! I got on the naughty list just by eating the candy canes, now those gingerbread men will forever be the ones that got away. Here is my play through, the maze took a little bit of time but I figured out a way to dodge Santa:
