FEVER: FIGHT THE FEVER

I really enjoyed this game. It is fun and becomes fast paced as you play. I would recommend playing.

Sucks. Crashed, and refused to close. Also, this game is vastly worse than it presents itself. You gotta click the viruses that spin and fly at you like missiles. And the anti bodies don’t do nearly enough, even upgrades. Over all, horrible game.

A few non-exclusive store bought assets here and there, but overall is a lot of fun! Loads of levels, secrets and enemy types. All weapons are fun to use and ammo tends to be quite plentiful.

The amount of fun I’ve had in this game is more than I expected. The melee is fun with the dismembering of the arms that get in the way to the head. One gripe I have with is the lack of staggering or flinching for both zombies and for the player. Damage from zombies seems to be a slow drain rather than an actual chunk and with the lack of response from the character it makes it difficult to know if you are being damaged. I love the models for the zombies and the looks of the interior maps. however the streets for the initial area I find to be slightly bland in comparison, although one of the only houses that you can get into the back yard of does have a pool, so I’ll let it slide. I enjoy the concept of using the corpses of zombies to heal and that you slowly take damage over time to keep you in the fight, however sometimes it’s just cruel that I can only carry one dose at a time after killing numerous zombies in my wake. When I first started, I felt that the guns available were horrible and a waste of a slot, such as the revolver and the double barrel shotgun, but venturing away from the objective and searching side streets not only allowed me to find increasingly better weapons, but slowly piece together the story being told via radio transmissions of dead operatives. While it isn’t master-class writing, it’s a nice detail that wouldn’t have had to be included until later.

The game seems pretty good, graphics are ok but the fps on a 6800xt and Ryzen 9 5900x combo is 45 fps. The game also causes my gpu to run hotter than say Cyberpunk 2077. To make matters worse when you die you are stuck in an animation of dying nonstop and the center of the screen is black and stays black for awhile, seems only a restart of the game fixes it. I highly recommend skipping it

I am not really sure who this game is for.

However, it works, the presents attack, you kill them.

Releasing a Christmas game in July feels weird but it is cheap and works like it says it does.

What I liked:

This is obviously a game that is very inspired by the 360/PS3 era of shooters where things were definitely more simple and straightforward. That I really appreciate and the gameplay definitely feels like it’s trying to replicate that. This game is definitely a work in progress and I’m sure there are plenty of optimizations to come. A lot of the guns feel good to use and most of the maps are really fun to play, though some of the larger ones take getting used to because of how the guns handle and the recoil.

Okay lets get the good things out of the way before the laundry list of bad things

THE GOOD

(1) I like the idea that someone outside of Call of Duty is attempting the killstreak system in a FPS game, With the UAV, Airstrike, and Attack Helicopter, I’ve longed for a game that adds this extra benefit to playing well that rewards the user for not dying and getting kills.

(2) The gunplay is okay at best and rather realistic in a sense that if you ADS your shots will be down the middle but when you shoot from the hip your shots actually come from the hip and you have to try and lineup the shots that way.

The Last Stand

The Last Stand

An enjoyable, short, shoot ‘em up with some creative environments and aesthetics. Not perfect, but an excellent showcase of nP students’ capabilities. Would love to see how they build off of this in their future projects.

The Last Stand is a very simple wave type of shooter where your enemies drop items that can be used to ‘upgrade’ your weapon. When completing all the waves a new map will be unlocked with new challenged but it’s basically the same. When enemies drop items, those items can be used for upgrading that can be done at your main ‘base’ at the crafting station. As I didn’t play any further than the first 4 maps, I only know that you can upgrade your weapon damage. It’s very simple and very easy to understand but the main problem here is.. It lacks content. The only thing you can do is kill the enemies and completing waves, upgrading your weapon and repeat the same thing but in a different level. There are also boosters spreaded around each level. Damage booster, health and a run boost and that’s about it as I couldn’t find any more.

‘Corona Kombat is an endless running shooter in which you will be choosing one of two modes and taking down the coronavirus before it overruns your body. You don’t need me to tell you that this is little more than a cash-grab, but at its heart is a fun little game that is played by simple head movement (no controller needed) meaning you could always play this with a DK2 as well. For £3.99 it’s probably a little overpriced, but it looks OK I guess and it’s maybe worth a look if you just want a simple shooter to mess around it.

cool game for its price, would like some more levels

would I recommend this game? Hmmm, probably yes. It definitely has potential and as far as doom-like dungeon-crawler games go, it has its moments. it provides an interesting challenge and has a variety of weapons to choose from. There are a few bugs here and there but it does offer a few hours of fun. As far as I am concerned this is the first game of this dev, and tbh it is a very nice try. It needs some work and I am always happy to support a new developer. Great job!

Simple shooting game without complicated controls

Can blow away my stress and the monster’s head at the same time

However, it’s bit difficult and often bitten by lot of monsters due to high difficulty

Under Water is a game to repair broken bases by defeating monsters who break into deep-sea bases.

Eliminate the ever-expanding monsters with guns, knives, and shields, and reclaim the bases occupied by the monsters.

You can see various weapons and monsters. The monster has a cruel and gross-looking appearance. Anyone who likes monsters will like it. I was surprised and a little scared while playing. People who are vulnerable to this need to be careful.

The feeling of hitting a monster is good. Each monster has different weapons that are easy to deal with, so research is needed when breaking the stage. Especially squid like Cthulhu? It is convenient to use the shield when dealing with octopus.

Other players posted that mouse issue was resolved. I returned to try the game out again. I will switch my review to recommend while I try the rest of the game.

I really wanted to play this but… Mouse only looks left and right.

Loaded Quake 2 to test. Worked fine…

This is a fairly short, but fun game. Perhaps the two critiques that might help people are: First, is that you have to tap twice on save game before it does anything, and then a 3rd to actually type a name in, before you can even start the game. This should only have been 1 tap. The second tip is that the game defaults to a Azerty keyboard. You will want to go to options and change it over to QWERTY if you want to use the standard WASD movement controls.
