Eyes of the Night
Eyes of the night is a very fun game yet is still very simple to learn and play. After downloading the game I very quickly found myself enthralled in the games ominous and captivating environment and couldn’t help but play “just one more game” trying to evade the wolves and beat my score from the previous round. The game seems to be well made and I can’t wait to see what the future updates will bring to the experience. Overall, the game is very fun and if you have five dollars laying around I highly recommend you give this game a shot.

Atmospheric and Entertaining
I haven’t spent too much time playing it yet, but Eyes of the Night is a very entertaining game. The gameplay is simple, yet good, and the world design and music creates an atmospheric experience. I think that it’s worth noting that the music reminded me a lot of that of the Amnesia series, which I adore. Overall, I recommend checking this out! It’s fun, inexpensive and a good way to support indie developers making unique games.

Mystery
A brief overview:
A group of young people set up a tent camp on the shore of the unpopular (but, nevertheless, beautiful!) altai lake. But they were not allowed to rest in peace: soon the camp was attacked by religious fanatics who settled in a dilapidated village nearby.
Ilya Zheleznov, who arrived at the place later than everyone else, found that everything was scattered in the camp, and there were no friends in place. Ilya finds Ivan’s smartphone, on which the young man recorded an audio message in a frightened voice that Marina found some strange amulet in the forest and then she disappeared. Ilya sets off on the tracks that lead the main character into a world full of death and madness
Undiscovered House
(Video above features my playthrough of the demo, which encapsulates a fair portion of the first act. The released version on steam was largely unchanged from the demo so it’s still a good preview should you want to view one. I have the remaining gameplay available to view on my channel should you get stuck/want a little more footage to preview)
An enjoyable little ride. It’s a little lacking in the scare department, but the level designs are pretty quality, and there’s a lot to search and explore, and there’s a decent puzzle aspect to it. It’s a relatively quick game which I state as an FYI for anyone who might have budget concerns. I finished my playthrough at a little over an hour, so you are paying $5 for a game that will not take that long. However, that’s not nearly as egregious as some other indie horrors on here, and as I said, I did have fun playing it. I’m assuming this is the dev’s first full game, so with that, I give kudos and look forward to seeing what he might have in the future. Thumb leaning slightly up on this one.

Undiscovered House is a short indie horror title that hits all of the boxes on the ‘standard horror game’ checklist. The simple premise is that you’re driving home from work, you wreck your car avoiding some strange entity in the road, and you make your way to a random house. Turns out that said house has some creepy cult-like maniac lingering in the corridors, so it’s in your best interest to find a way to get out as soon as possible.
There are three very typical areas to the game; the house, the sewers, and the hospital. The beginning of each area serves as a checkpoint, as there is no save function otherwise implemented. The gameplay is your typical key and item finding, and none of the objects are particularly difficult to hunt down. There’s a decently functioning flashlight with a battery mechanic, but I personally never had to change to one of the six or seven batteries that I picked up since power indicator only dropped one bar, and I used the torch pretty liberally.

Whispers in the Dark
The author was definitely trying to scare me, well, he did it. The game turned out to be quite original, but with some technical flaws. It’s too dark and a lame flashlight that doesn’t shine a damn thing.

I really enjoyed this game. It wasn’t super scary but had a good horror atmosphere throughout it. The story was also pretty good as well. It was still rough in a few spots and I think it could benefit from a note or something at the beginning that lets you know the controls like crouch, interact, and tasks. Overall for the price I would recommend this game. If you want to see some game play you can check out my video below.

JAAHG: The Crows Cry
I figured I would check this out and give it the benefit of the doubt since it only had one review and it was negative. I played about 25 minutes and it just wasn’t that great. Sure if it was a free game I would sure check it out it can’t hurt to try it out but for $5 I would say save your money. The premise is standard so you have to find 5 boxes of evidence to see if you are in the location of the missing children. Great, but there isn’t any dialog or papers or anything that explains and expands on a story. It’s just 5 brown boxes that say ‘CLUE?’. Sure that’s fine but is the monster scary? Nope. It’s a scarecrow that will randomly appear and you have to just walk around it.
