So I’ll start by saying this, I got this in the Jingle Jam bundle (so technically not free, but I didn’t buy it individually)

I’ve played just over an hour as of writing this, so I may update this as I go on…

TLDR, cute game, great aesthetic, nice change from a regular rogue-lite if you’re looking for a slower pace. Gameplay was semi-challenging (so far) BUT there are definitely fixes and quality of life changes needed…

  • Make the ‘hub’ worlds smaller/get rid of them, far too big and empty

  • Allow access to view key bindings for controls and moves learned

Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy

Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy

english:

honestly, i am old player of “Generation Xth” series games, i never want to give you “Not Recommended on this game.

but after played this new version of “Generation Xth”, i found the bad point is not only artists are different with old version(Generation Xth).

of cause i never expect it allows players to customize their character’s portraits by themself(yes, you can use your own pictures to be your every character’s portrait in old version).

it’s other defects also not only deleted 3 advanced blood codes(SIZ, RAS, ILITH).

Set shortly after the events of Operation Abyss, a new threat - the Embryo - has appeared in the skies over Tokyo and unleashed a horror upon the city below. With Alice Mifune and her allies captured by the Embryo it’s up to the New Xth Squad to take the fight to the Embryo and save the day!

Operation Babel is a re-release of the third and final game in the Generation Xth series, Generation Xth: Code Realize, originally for the Playstation Vita. In terms of gameplay, Babel is basically everything Abyss was, only better. They fixed a lot of the problems of the first game, added a new “sub-class” system that lets you take the skills of a secondary class, and even added a new class, the Conjurer. (Side note, I feel like the Conjurer must be a mistranslation because they don’t conjure anything. They charm monsters in battle and while their spells are stated to be summons, the mechanics involved and the fact that the spell class is listed as “TRAN” implies that it’s actually transformation, not summoning. But I digress.)

Gal*Gun: Double Peace

Gal*Gun: Double Peace

TL;DR

This game is sort of a retro arcade-style fast-paced on-rail shooter, except instead of using guns to shoot enemy soldiers on a battlefield, you’re using sex pheromones to shoot anime girls in an academy. Overall it’s a great game, and I really enjoy playing it.

Main Pros

  • There’s a built-in “panic button” (normally bound to M) that you can press to pause the game and pull up a fake old school RPG game to fool friends or family members if they were to walk in to you being bombarded by lustful anime girls.

Real player with 30.8 hrs in game

It’s not a great port: xbox gamepad prompts are everywhere (but mouse and keyboard are working, and in story-critical QTEs you’ll get proper mouse prompts) and there are unexplainable game crashes on some setups, but it is still fun and weird Japanese nonsense. You should buy it, if you are into shooting pheromones at school girls and female teachers trying to express their love to you.

You can call this game “a lewd Japanese nonsense”. It’s an on-rails shooter. Your character moves through the school and then SUDDENLY GIRLS! Thousands of them! And every one of them wants to become your girlfriend forever. You have no choice but to defend yourself. You must disarm them - you do it by shooting pheromones at your attackers. In the best traditions of on-rails shooters, girls are zone-sensitive targets, so it matters where you shoot your load. Disarmed girls will scream with ecstasy and fall on the ground in lewd funny possess. Apart from the standard shooting mechanics, you can see through girls’ clothes while zooming-in…and touch girls in doki-doki mode…and…and don’t judge me.

Heroine of the Sniper

Heroine of the Sniper

A very fun arcade-like sniping game. The premise and controls are pretty straightforward but the level design is surprisingly creative and provides a lot of challenging and fun scenarios.

The game feels like a spiritual successor to the free flash game Material Sniper, sharing similar aesthetics and mechanics. However, Heroine of the Sniper goes beyond its predecessor’s premise and incorporates fully 3D levels and a variety of scenarios.

While the game only has 15 missions. Each mission feels unique to each other and never feels like you’re doing the same thing twice. There’s a lot of elements that gives a similar feel to some classic light gun games, such as Silent Scope and Time Crisis.

Funky little game that reminds me a lot of a flash game called “Material Sniper”. My biggest criticism is that the environments and enemies are mostly made out of Unity store assets that don’t match the proposed art-style seen in the artworks, but I think it is worth the money knowing that I can support a small group of developers.

Obtaining all the achievements is quite challenging but can be done in under 10 hours if you’re persistent enough.

I like this visual novel to be honest. I think the art design is nice and the story is okay. I Recommend.

Real player with 2.2 hrs in game

The story is alright, nothing extremely special. Felt a little bit rushed. The art itself is pretty good and same goes for music production. There are other visual novels I’d recommend other than this one, but go ahead if you wanna read this one :)

Advent Crossroad

Advent Crossroad

I came across this game after searching for games like Etrian Odyssey & Shin Megami Tensei.

I’ll start with the positives :)

The good

The ‘vibe’ of the game is very similar to Devil Survivor, artwork is nice, story starts off nice and simple and gets more involving as you go through.

Battle system is similar enough to above mentioned games and also varied enough for you to get a kick out of organising your party with a selection of acquired skills (collected via getting hit by a monsters attack whilst you use a turn to absorb said monster skills).

Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy

Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy

it’s my old review in the game below here, now i changed my mind because it’s next game “Operation Babel” that don’t allow your old character to inherit. garbage designs ruined the potential game.

someone’s review here i saw just like “this is a garbage game”. no nutrition content made me angry, so I decide to review his review.

about his cons for this game:

“boring and unenganging to the point where i played this game while waiting for things in other games”

obviously he don’t know there has 2 ways and 1 new design to solve this problem:

In the near future of Tokyo hazard cases are on the rise and only an elite team of teenagers with attitude can put a stop to it. But since the Power Rangers are busy in Angel Grove, we’ll instead join up with Alice Mifune, teenage commander of the Xth (pronounced “zith”) Squad - an elite paramilitary force of magitek-enabled high school kids - to save the day!

I’ll start with the game’s good side. One thing you may know about me is that I love character customization. Give me character customization - or even better, character creation - and I can overlook almost any number of flaws in your game. It’s what attracted me to City of Heroes, Soul Calibur, Monster Hunter… hell, it’s what convinced me to stick with Etrian Odyssey until I learned to love that series on its own merits, and Etrian Odyssey’s character creation isn’t even that good.
