The game is world building and connected to its sequel Akashicverse Malicious Wake.

Story mode brings light into the darkness into what happens in the other games.

The game in itself seems complex at first, but when you spent a little time and play the mission mode you will learn how the game works. Mission mode also got some extra challenges for good players.

There is also a manual in both languages in the game folder. It can help you to understand how each character works.

Your goal is pretty much to beat the other player in puyu puyu smash bros with top music in the background and all the visual candy.

There are many VR rhythm exercise games out there - This one isn’t as flashy as most. Hit the ball with sticks or swords. Plus you can load in your own songs and it’ll detect rhythm.

Ok so this game is a strange one though it is also growing on me. Once I figure out how to position myself and recenter my headset the game became amazing. Confusing in some parts, but it is a weird mix of games like BeatSaber but add’s in some bullet hell elements almost. Over all it is a pretty amazing game letting you play your own songs and each time you play it is different.

Check out a video of me playing it (not the best i know but hey i am working on it) https://youtu.be/-bIOfrJFFMA

I’ve been looking for a game like this for such a long time and after finally finding it I couldn’t be happier. At first glance this my just seems like a simple side-scroller fighting game, but it didn’t take long to see the vast potential of this game. The ability to fight to the beat of any song of your choosing just seems incredible to many people including myself, although as of now there’s only local PvP (Hopefully there will be future updates so this review may not be relevent later on) . If over time a Player vs. Computer or online PvP was added along with some QOL changes (More and better fighting mechanics or an option to change controls, More characters, More stages and maybe a sort of leveling system if you really want to get into details) would make this game unimaginablely popular. With such vast potential and with this game being brand new (right now at least) I can only hope that there will be future updates with such things added into the game and bringing it to it’s fullest.

As of now the game is REALLY fun when played with music the player likes even with the incredibly limited (two) characters available. Unfortunately for that reason there isnt much replayability because of the limited characters and movesets.

I really hope this game improves overtime with more characters and movesets and also maps, because this game has incredible potential imo.

There are some awkward stuff about it like the animations a bit stale and when you use your ultimate the ultimates play music with the music chosen which creates a F*ckfest of sounds which is really unpleasant.

I know I’ll get fitter playing this game.

What the hell is a burpee? What is this one handed push-up nonsense? Squats I’m good with, running is fine, jumping without hands above my head is great. Punching the discs is fine. The points system is mad, I couldn’t compete in a points table in this unless there’s a dad-bod mode tiered system for middle-aged e-sport leagues.

This game has taught me much about my fitness levels. 1) I’m not fit enough to complete 30 minutes inside this game with a high score. 2) it doesn’t matter, because even if I do half of what the game is asking of me, I’m still moving and that’s an improvement on sitting on my arse at the desk.

5/5! Great improvements, new features, and updated songs, thank you!

VALVE Index Users:

  1. NO BURPIES! NO JUMPING, NO SHOES, SLOW TRANSITIONS B/W POSITIONS – unless your cables are suspended from above.

  2. Wear the controllers like wrist watches.

  3. Wash/disinfect your face gasket regularly. Steam Support recommended warm water or 15-30% alcohol wipes.

I’ve been playing this since it came out. I love this game so much that, even though I bent/broke my cable, Steam sent me a new cable and I still love this game!

Think_

Think_

Think_ as a game is pretty mediocre. Although the game does have a few slightly relatable emotional moments, it lacks in it in lack of gameplay, it’s price (it should be worth a dollar or two or nothing at all), the abyssmal sprite work, glitches, and just in general play value or replayability. The game can be beaten in probably half an hour and is not worth the price it has. After being beaten, the game seems to leave you in a soft lock which leaves you with no way to play the game. The game lacks charm and all and all, the only thing I enjoyed in it was the music, when it wasn’t blasting my ears out of course. 2/10, would not recommend.

I’m a sucker for short games with bad graphics, what can I say? The music is pretty good too. Only complaint is that the game doesn’t allow you to play it for a second time. I wanna see what happens if I name my character Paul :(. I don’t see an issue with the price, I just wanted to get rid of some money ngl.

Other people are also reviewing, but battle mode may be only for multiplayer because cpu is too weak.(By the way, I was only able to play singles)

After a few years of its release on the console platform, the game finally reaches Steam.

The cartoon characters in the game stand out one after another, showing and associating their vibrant colors with their themes and dancing styles.

Each venue stands out between each other mostly, with unique effects and fireworks going off at the right time to the songs featured in the game.

Gameplay varies depending on your setup. Of course when it comes to rhythm games, timing is critical. Unfortunately, this game has no sync settings, which means that you may need to calibrate and adjust your graphics and audio settings in some other manner. Often times, I have to hit buttons earlier than hearing from the song in order to score a perfect hit.

Karateka is a 2012 tribute to 1984 game of the same name, made for Apple II and Atari. The premise is simple: evil shogun imprisoned a girl and you need to save it by a series of honor melee fights one-on-one with shogun’s minions.

The game is really short, the run from the start to end takes for about 25-50 minutes usually. And if you want to compare the tribute with the original, well, it’s 50/50%: some say the original is still top-notch and the remake is so-so, and some think that even the original was mediocre, and the remake is only made the concept worse, ‘cause times had changed for 30 years, and you can’t enter the same river as it was before. And you shouldn’t, some would add. Not me, though.

KickBeat Steam Edition

There are alot of gripes about this game, and alot of things that hold it back, but it’s important to understand what you’re getting into here.

First and foremost, I’ll start with the bad.

The game had alot of features cut. I’m sure the developers would have liked to add advanced track editing, more songs, more characters, more anything, really. It’s a game that aspired to be the best, and while it’s good, it fell short of staying in the spotlight due to the aforementioned issues.

The good:

Kickbeat features something that most rhythm games don’t have, especially among those that try to bend genres to include a wider audience (I’m looking at you, Audiosurf). At its heart, it’s a competitive game. It’s a hard game. It’s one of the few rhythm games out there that has a scoring system which means something. If you can six-star a song on master, you can post a video on Youtube, and and proceed to feel good about it. This isn’t a game that you zone out and play. At least not if you want to do well. At the same time, the game’s not impossible, nor is it inaccessible. It incorporates a few ideas, but it doesn’t make the gameplay awkward. It’s simple, but different, and in this case, it works. The developers made sure that this game ran well, and of course felt good to play. What it skimmed on with features, it more than made up for with a good core.

An attempt at a rhythm game with an actually decent story, but ultimately the only thing that challenges the player is the gluttered screen and how the timing of the button presses switches between beat, vocalist phrasing, lead instruments or some other arbitrary instrument - that is if you’re playing the songs that come with the game, your own collection of music is a totally different and much more depressing story.

There’s a very limited amount of different combinations of button pressing sequences that the game throws at you - 1, 2 or three in a row, 1, 2 or 3 at a time and press & hold, possibly double tapping on some (pretty much required on master difficulty if you want to keep your combo going). There’s no stream of notes kind of things that I loved from DDR/ITG.

Fun game, definetly worth it’s price.

It’s definetly rough around the edges, and it’s pretty hard to pick up in the first hour or something, but the core gameplay loop is something you won’t find anywhere else.

TERRORHYTHM (TRRT) - Rhythm driven action beat ‘em up!

It pains me to write a negative review for this game, but in its current state, TERRORHYTHM is just not that enjoyable

Don’t get me wrong, being a fan of rhythm games, I like this game and see great potential for it, but there are a couple major issues that prevent me from truly enjoying the game

Messy calibration system

Other reviewers have covered how this feature breaks when you use controllers, but since I’ve never used a controller for this game, I’ll let you read those reviews for more accurate information. However, there is still something else that is rather done poorly.

“Easy to Learn, Hard to Master” game.

First of all, I love the art style!

There was a lot of cool design in the different backgrounds and animation. Also the weapons - (that you’ll get from enemies) - katanas, throwing discs and a giant reaper scythe that looks cool as hell as you slice down enemies).

The music is also brilliant!

Every single track here is big and thumping and geared towards making you want to move. WIthin seconds of starting up the first level, I found myself bopping along in my seat, and that set the tone for every other level.  BTW, you also can add in your own songs.
