Escaping Hell

Escaping Hell

It’s a fun indie game that mixes up its presentation and has a unique sense of style. I like the theme of being kind to yourself and how the gameplay supports that.

The game is world building and connected to its sequel Akashicverse Malicious Wake.

Story mode brings light into the darkness into what happens in the other games.

The game in itself seems complex at first, but when you spent a little time and play the mission mode you will learn how the game works. Mission mode also got some extra challenges for good players.

There is also a manual in both languages in the game folder. It can help you to understand how each character works.

Your goal is pretty much to beat the other player in puyu puyu smash bros with top music in the background and all the visual candy.

I highly recommend this game, it is a very fun game it is a game with a lot of strategy fast reflexes and a lot of cool and unique levels and rooms. The creator definitely put a lot of effort and time into this game it is hard but in a good way. Sometimes you just have to accept your gonna lose and just try again. Anyways I highly recommend it great job creator.

Due to this being an indie game I feel like the more reviews the better, so you can improve your future and current work.

Notes: I would have enjoyed some atmospheric music, but as I played I found that I was so focused on the combat (and the horror) that I didn’t really notice the lack of music midway through the game. I loved the lighting choices you made, they were all really pretty and atmospheric. : ) Level 6 and 15 were crazy hard, super challenging I had my boyfriend help me win them, but if you were aiming for a challenging game you definitely succeeded there. The flashing lights on level 10 and 16 were a bit much, but definitely created a creepy ambiance. I really liked the level deign for the final level (17) the colors and assets were great, and the heath potions were super cute they reminded me of tomato soup! I didn’t really use the speed boosts myself, but my boyfriend did so take that as you will.

An excellent twist on Minesweeper. Just as challenging though, if not more so.

First look….

Thank you CAE78SOFT for the invitation to review Battle Mine Sweeper!

After our first hour of play, we have to say that this spin on an old time favorite time killer game, has really been done well.

To play minesweeper, old time favorite and battle at the same time with weapons, traps, adds a whole new level of those who thing they have mastered basic minesweeper.

The leveling, replay ability, various game types, and overall variation are fantastic!

All in all we give this game an 8/10 for originality, implementation, coding, layout, design and creativity.

Groove Balls

There are many VR rhythm exercise games out there - This one isn’t as flashy as most. Hit the ball with sticks or swords. Plus you can load in your own songs and it’ll detect rhythm.

Ok so this game is a strange one though it is also growing on me. Once I figure out how to position myself and recenter my headset the game became amazing. Confusing in some parts, but it is a weird mix of games like BeatSaber but add’s in some bullet hell elements almost. Over all it is a pretty amazing game letting you play your own songs and each time you play it is different.

Check out a video of me playing it (not the best i know but hey i am working on it) https://youtu.be/-bIOfrJFFMA

Robo Puzzle Smash

Robo Puzzle Smash

Had this game for two years, but came back to it recently to remote play with a buddy that loves puzzle fighters like i do. It’s a fun game with an interesting balance system. combos are kinda broken, but it’s not exactly easy to set off a combo. it’s got a nice visual design, nice sound design, and the story is funny too. I’d say if you’re into puzzle fighting games, then this is a good choice.

This game has two great strengths about it.

1. The unique mechanics it brings to the Puzzle Fighter format make it a unique and enjoyable experience and really make you plan out your strategies.

2. The devs are on top of bug fixes, going so far as to fix a broken achievement the day before leaving for Too Many Games.

I do, however, have a minor complaint about its wild system. Teching deals damage (if minor), so if the AI ever gets a wild breaker, it ruins attempts at getting the Perfect achievement, and (as of writing this review) it’s possible for you and the AI to get into an infinite loop of using supers (replaces your current piece with a wild breaker) to the point where a double KO is possible, and a double KO softlocks the game.

Like many games of the puzzle genre, the artwork may seem simplistic, but it works for this game. You’re not here for the graphics anyway, but for the puzzles. I like how this game ramps slowly - showing you how to use opening chests as a way to “skip” a turn and get the baddies close to your sword. One thing to remember is that to complete a level you just have to get all the chests, not kill all the baddies. I struggle with a few levels until I realized I could just let the baddies chase me around the map while I moved to get the chest. I have only a few nitpicks

It’s a simple game to learn with lots of room for improvement and skill expression. The game is a unique take on fighting games requiring you to focus on both your side of the board and the opponents. Each character provides a unique twist on the game play that will alter how you approach each match.

What a great little game. It’s got the charm of a casual match-3 game with the competitive feel coming from the 1v1 aspect, coupled with the fact that the game speeds up every 10 seconds or so.

Pros:

Addicting gameplay, even the solo score attack mode

Great couch game

Can technically do co-op with 2v2 though I haven’t tried it, need 4 people for it

Wide variety of character designs/mechanics, and everybody feels strong in their own ways.

Solid sound track (one song is bleh but the training stage music is so good that it’s fine)
