Elsword

Nice gameplay, great graphics, but HORRIBLE BALANCING WITH EVERYTHING. Everything is completely Unbalanced, PvE, and PVP. The newest character Ain is the most OP piece of crap ever added to this game, and the constant unbalancing Nerfs and Buffs KoG shoots out their asses only makes the problem worse. They have trouble lending an ear to their players to see how they take to new characters and their skills, so they just throw out random nerfs and buffs and say “Eh, maybe this’ll do” when in-fact it makes things worse (Most of the time at least.) But! If you can get past the unbalanced gameplay, there is a lot of fun to have in this game. That is if you can become a player with unreal amounts of ED (ED is in game money), be willing to spend thousands of hours in this game, and be willing to throw a few bucks out to the gods at KoG every now and again in order to fit in. (Doesn’t take much)

This game is called P2W alot recently and I have to disagree I play alot of warframe and I know grind and lately thats been more grindy than this game. In general this is a great game

Reasons follow:

Devs have been making game less grindy and providing the “p2w benifits” for free for 30 days ($8 for the only “p2w” item and thats just 4 skill slots game has to make money somehow)((also note the “p2w item can be bought on player market but its pricey”

The player market makes it so you have to grind less.

Well as you can see I played the game for quite some time; Not counting that the Steam-Client itself is buggy af and you’re better off with the Nexon client so I switched to it after half a year.

After playing Riders of Icarus for 2 years since the Beta was released I can say: Never a Nexon game again.

The game also had a problem with cheaters since it did not had any mechanics to prevent people from uploading data into the game. It does not has any filter so there were numerous bugs (for example when you had connection problems) like item duplication. So at certain times some people were selling skill modifications for higher damage, no cooldowns, etc.

With a decent amount of time spent in a game, it’s always hard to justify a negative review. To me it feels like if you really want to enjoy it, you need to go all in with ROI. In my opinion, this game isn’t designed for casual players but since it’s F2P, give it a try and decide for yourself :)

Lets start with the positive aspects

- Graphics & Story:

Characters and mounts are well detailed. The majority of the map aswell. I like the shiny overall look. The story is above standard and the rare cutscenes do look nice.

A game I have over 700 hours in, made youtube content for and have semi retired from touching now. What do I think of it? It’s all over the place frankly. Some things it does right and others it does awfully, but ultimately it’s the brand name and the concept that keeps it going with players even now.

It’s another 3d arena anime fighter on the surface, but also an action rpg in disguise, It’s one of the few anime properties in the world which is so well known that some don’t even see it even as anime anymore, that’s how normalised it is.

I’m writing this review after the latest DLC that was released. Legendary Pack 2, granting us quite a few new characters, some awesome Skills, and more. The story isn’t bad and from the cliffhanger, it’s not quite done yet… which I’m not sure if it’s distressing or comforting. I love this game, probably more than any other Dragon Ball game that I’ve played. I don’t do PvP for my own personal reasons, but the PvE with PQ’s, the main story, the side stories. It’s all so much fun. But one thing I will say, is maybe it’s time to put the old girl to sleep.

Hunter’s Arena: Legends

Hunter’s Arena: Legends

A bit of a hot take.

I’d say I gave this game more than a fair shake. I slogged through it as courtesy to a friend who gifted it to me.

I was lured in by the idea of this being a unique fighting game. The characters look cool, the fighting styles looked saucy, and the battle royale was just extra. When i got into it though, i found every encounter frustrating, win or lose.

My main gripe are the fights themselves, victors are decided by whoever rushes down 1st and simply guesses right. But that’s not all, the way the game tells you to block isn’t the correct way to defend, dodges do nothing, inputs seem to vanish into smoke, and your 1 functional escape skill can be easily activated on accident.

Not sure what the negative reviews are about, Most people dont like to look at things in perspective. This is a new developer and this is their first game being put out, and with that being kept in mind the game is actually very good. but most importantly IT WORKS! I cant tell you how many multi billion dollar companies put out games that are poorly optimized garbage (blizzard).

This game does have its bugs obviously, but most are fairly rare. nothing that cant be patched out as long as people are reporting it. But i REALLY want to emphasize the optimization of the game. I experience zero lag, no rubber banding, no input lag, and no random disconnects. In terms of PvP combat, this game plays better in PvP than any other MMO that has mass PvP or open world PvP. This includes tera (especially tera), BDO, BnS, etc. There IS some quirkyness tho that happens when chasing and tagging a enemy down. Attacks from melee seem to hit when they shouldnt hit, but thats honestly the only weird thing ive noticed thus far and its not anything to rage about considering you can not flee from fights anyway since the opponent will eventually catch up to you through the wind current mechanic.

Metin2

Metin2… Old korean grinding MMO. Only name of this game and soundtrack in first location “enter the east” fill my heart with warm. Yeah, it’s all about nostalgia. I still love this game through many years. But now, let’s be honest and write about this game objectively without good feelings. This game, perhaps, one of the worst game in MMO genre. Literally, pay 2 play system which kills all, absolutely terrible grinding (you will waste months and years to get to the top without donation), game also as many others suffer from cheaters. I don’t recommend this game to anyone, except entirely clear people who never play MMO and want to try. This game is ♥♥♥♥, yeah, but really simple to learn and this is single advantage of this game.

If you are looking at this game because you remember playing it a long time ago then let me save you the time. The game has barely changed since its peak days back in the mid to late 2000s. There is new items, the level cap is raised, Inflation hit this game economy hard, and there is a few new places but they are more like dt runs for higher level players… Nothing new worth coming back for….

IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED THE GAME BEFORE, READ THIS!

Horrible game

Stay away.

Very unprofessional team; you can give your feedback if you wish, but they take this personally and will remove you from the forums. The stats revamp looks to make things worse. I suspect even more angry customers “Soon.” They do not listen to feedback.

Honestly this is one of the best games i have ever played. It has amazing everything. I really enjoyed using every power and playing for each mentor. But then there’s the bad side. After lvl 30 it sorta gets… kinda boring. All episodes cost around $15 which in the end really sucks. and if you want the really dope powers? you gotta pay. Honestly the developers should make EVERYTHING about this game free if they really want a good feedback from the community. And also adding some new mentors and clothing could be neat too. Because honestly playing for the same mentor with the same limited clothing items gets EXTREMLY boring. In the end, this game is really dope and one of my top favorite games (number 2 to be exact) but it could use some touches and fixes. Definetly recomend.

The game is fun and nice though its Steam version is glitchy as hell, mostly because of half-assed implementations of many options here and there. You could enjoy it since it is basicaly 8/16 bit Beat’m’up like but you’re warned.

For example you need to launch your Steam under Administrator rights to allow the game install itself (while other games only need Administrator rights for their installer).

Another one is that… Launcher doesn’t show any info since all info is picture-based and you NEED ADMINISTRATOR rights for IE (in other words you’ll need to actualy be under Administrator profile to read the news from Launcher).

Played this way back when Nexon NA was still the publisher and quit due to poor handling of the game. Flash Forward into the future and now the game is being published under its actual developers Neople who clearly know how to take care of this game.

Gameplay is simple. Its a arcade side-scrolling beat ‘em up type game with gameplay mechanics similar to that of a fighting game like Street Fighter. Skills in this game can be activated on input such that as a fighting game or traditionally like MMOs where you do skills on a set skill slot that is activated on the hotkey you set for it. The classes in this game are all unique in that some of them advance to do completely different roles. For example, the female mage advancing to become a Battle Mage which changes her whole playstyle into melee focused dps as opposed to one of her other class advancements such as Elementalist which is focused on bursting down enemies with ranged magic. The level progression is imo pretty fast. The game has a heavy focus on its endgame progression so leveling up from 1-90 per character should take you about 2 weeks or more depending on how invested you are in playing. Since this game uses a fatigue system. If you wanted to keep playing for longer periods of time. You would most likely need to make a new character as each character has their own separate fp bar. You will be able to learn more about the other classes by doing this which may help you decide on who you want to main.

NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER

NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER

This review is purely based on my personal experience as a solo player.

Pros

  • You can build your customized ninja with 4 different roles.

  • Fun to play with friends or as first time.

  • Plenty variety of characters “Masters” with their signature moves included that your ninja can learn. Also their 2D art it’s pretty cool.

  • It’s fun to run over the walls and jump from them since your ninja will always use Chakra concentration automatically.

  • Some events from time to time and you get cool stuff.

Real player with 678.1 hrs in game

To be fair, this game honestly has one of the best combat mechanics in any game I’ve ever played thus far, and I’d wanna see more games with similar mechanics to it. The game also features some neat character customization and give some cool rewards for events which are completely achievable for anyone. So with those said, the problems lie elsewhere.

1. There is a jarring amount of bugs - although you cannot expect a game to be completely bug-free, this game has jarring amount of it. Examples include but are not limited to a) Screen dimming after a cut scene b) Ability indicators would display cooldown when inflicted by certain skills despite being entirely unaffected and c) Severe latency issues with the host.
