WarDogs: Red’s Return

WarDogs: Red’s Return

GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-

GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-

You get an album during the purchase, and apparently it comes along with a free game.

Which is also packed with:

  • Flashy, stylish and gorgeous character, all packed with different weaknesses and strenght to suit your gameplan, provided you have one. If not, well, might aswell try out other characters to goof around with.

  • Plays the Album during the gameplay to rock along while you fight. All characters comes along with thier own themed soundtracks, pretty swell to listen to, and goes amazingly as you brawl through the mayhem.

Slap City

Slap City

This game is honestly a 10/10 platform fighter, as it has such stellar movement mechanics, while being very accessible to all level of players. I still laugh at this game even after well over a thousand hours of taking it seriously. It’s a gem…but the game isn’t the reason for the negative review.

The community for this game is slowly killing it. If you plan on competing, or getting help, or even finding matches on the Discord server, you’re going to need very thick skin. The community does have legitimately good people in it, but most of them stay quiet. The majority of the server is just crap posts and hate.

If you’re into smash games I couldn’t recommend this game enough. It’s got all the mechanics that competitive melee players use with the addition of more, the biggest of which is “Clutch” which allows for some crazy moments. An instance of this would be when you almost die and have a lot of momentum from the hit, you can use a clutch move, which reversed your momentum, to send yourself flying super fast back onto the stage. Another fun example is with the Goddess of Explosions who is able to utilize Clutch so that she can literally go around the stage 3 times without touching it. The Clutch tool does a lot more than that and is definitely one of the best and defining features in the game.

Good game with a great potential.

The map design is really good.

The combat mechanics are a bit bland for now, but it’s still very fun to play with friends.

GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR-

GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR-

I played Sign for 6 months, and when I mean by play, I mean grind combos in the training room and doing nothing else as Millia. So, when revelator came out, I was super excited. Unlike Street fighter V’s launch (Sorry Capcom fans please don’t hate me) Revelator’s launch went exteremly smoothly for me.

So, let’s take a look at what the game does well:

+Netcode- HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THE NETCODE IS AMAZING. On average, I get 2-4 frames of delay and it feels like I’m playing on a console offline. Granted, this assuming you have anti-aliasing and post-effects off, but even with everything on, you’ll get 5 frames at the max. The only netcode that can top Guilty Gear’s is Killer Instinct.

This piece of sh*t of a game actually made me go out and buy a fight stick just so I could get better with it lol. I have tried out a bunch of fighting games before, but nothing came close to this. GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR- is the best fighting game I’ve played so far, and possibly one of the best game I’ve played in general, and that’s saying a lot, because I’ve never been into fighting games that much in the past.

The Positives:

  • Complex but satisfying fighting system: The game is indeed hard to learn at first, as there are lots of mechanics to understand, but even at the beginner level, you can still pull off some cool stuff and look awesome while doing it. Once you start getting better, things like Romance Cancels and Burst will be easier to get into and you will be able to use them correctly at no time. And although combos are pretty tough to perform, I think one of the way to learn them is to watch videos and tutorial on the internet and try to copy the combo in practice mode, then slowly apply them in real matches, and sooner or later you will be able to do it. To me, that feeling of learning new moves and combos, then successfully doing them against real opponents is what makes this game so great and memorable.

Street Fighter® IV

Street Fighter® IV

i do not recommend this game.

first of all i have to say that street fighter IV is probably the best fighting game you can play , i have

in my library few more fighting games such as:

injustice gods amond us

the king of fighters xiii

mortal kombat kollection

mortal kombat komplete edition

and street fighter iv got the best gameplay and fun.

however (and thats a big however) , i do not recomend to buy this game because of capcom money sucking

strategy.

first they release this game ,half year later they release an enhanced game which contain few more characters

Oh nostalgia. That was the first street fighter I ever played. I remember that I watched my cousins play without any interest and then one day I picked the arcade stick… Oh boy what a satisfaction was to kick ass and taunt with Bison. I like the character selection music and the narrator voice is (in my opinion) much better. I liked how you had to unlock characters without freaking DLC garbage, how you had to deal with your character weaknesses (cuz unbalance suff OP SAGAT I HATE YOU) overcome it and win. Liked how pist was your opponent when you beat it with Dan (which was pure and utter shait). Then AE and Ultra Came along and instead of updating the game without the new characters and let everybody play the same game (like SFV is doing) they forced us to buy the game again AE and then again with Ultra. I have Ultra on Xbox360 and on PC too. Left my Bison at B+ #320.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV STEAM EDITION

THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV STEAM EDITION

i’ve been playing the kof series since it’s inception, back in 94. i’ve always been a fan, and i bought all the games, through the playstation(s) era, all the way up to kofxiii; and i’ve spent hundreds of hours on kofxiii alone on my ps3.

kof has always been known for it’s nice 2d art, and it was epitomised in kofxii, with a reset in the art department; big characters, all beautifully hand drawn. while i did play kofxii a bit (not much to be honest), it felt like an incomplete game. still, the new system was fun, and had me looking forward to kofxiii … and snk delivered. kofxiii was not only beautiful, it was a great game too.

I had a massive text block describing my history with fighting games from before even Street Fighter 1 and how only the true fighting game fans stayed around for the drought of 99-2007 (which The King of Fighters series stayed true, releasing games that whole time). But decided to say, fighting games, have never been about graphics, its has always been about the soul, technicality, depth and fun.

Firstly if you know you fighting games, then you’ll know Garou: Mark of the Wolves battle designer, Yasuyuki Oda. He is the Director os KOF XIV.
