Cyber Badminton 2020
A very solid little arcade game of tennis-for-2. The powerups and general aesthetic set it apart froma standard retro-style sports title. Difficult to master, but once you get the hang of timing, going for high scores is something I always find enjoyable. The manual is a cute addition that more indies should take note of.

It’s a simple arcade badminton game that’s pretty neat. For the price, it’s worth it.

Risky Wings
EDIT: 2/26/19 Record name change.
EDIT; 9/11/18 The issues I describe below of needing to acclimate in order to avoid hitting objects has substantially been dealt with admirably in several ways, in more than one update. MUCH more intuitive now. Thank you!

Full Disclosure: I LOVE TO FLY!!! (As a gamer, I mean.)
As such, I have a substantial number of Steam-based games that allow me to indulge this joyous affliction, the most recent being the wonderfully designed and remarkably addictive and entertaining Risky Wings (previously UBERFLIGHT.) Admittedly, flying games basically do one thing, and the measures of such games are:

502’s Arcade
502’s Arcade is an anthology of fast paced arcade games where your goal is to reach the top of the leaderboards in each one. The games go from a dungeon crawler set in a procedural generated temple where you have to seal spirits, to a cute but challenging puzzle where you have to prepare the orders of a very hectic potions shop. Come and get that good old feeling of competition you got when going to the arcade, or just have fun and challenge yourself by trying to get all the achievements for each game.
-
TIMELESS ACTION - The games are designed to be engaging right from the start, it’s up to you if you want to play for just a few minutes or maybe a few hours!
-
HIGH REPLAYABILITY - Master all of the games at your own pace, some will be easier, some will be harder, but practice will take you far. You’ll also get plenty of achievements to challenge yourself while at it!
-
PAST MEETS PRESENT - Bringing you back to that feeling of being just a few points away of the top score, but now with Daily, Weekly and All time leaderboards, you have a reason to keep coming back to try to best others and yourself.
-
AWESOME SOUNDTRACK - Whether you’re fighting frantically with some aliens or comfortably solving some puzzles, each game has the perfect music for it.

Danger Forever
Danger Forever is hardcore 3D scroll-shooter with rogue-lite elements.
_ Lone human rides her mecha-dragon
through hostile alien world of mechanoids and techno-demons_
Unlike most scrolling shooters, you actually fly through 3D environment — use it to your advantage, and beware bumping into walls or ground.
Also, instead of traditional showering enemies with bullets, you have to think ahead a bit — fuel/heat system adds some more depth to combat.
Levels are procedurally generated — each level is slightly different every time you play it
(but it’s not totally random of course).
Energy and materials obtained during level playthrough can be used to upgrade and customize you dragon.
You also need those materials and energy to build a spaceship to fight your way out of that hostile planet.
F E A T U R E S
► Explore over 100 levels in 6 distinct regions
World map is procedurally generated too, you can ’re-roll' your world.
► Utilize elaborate scoring system to earn energy and materials needed for upgrades
The better you score the better gear you can afford.
► Unlock new difficulty modes
On higher difficulty levels you’ll encounter enemies and hazards not present on ‘normal’ or ‘easy’.
► Upgrade and customize your dragon
Abilities and weapon-modes are unlocked and upgraded for Azure and materials earned on levels.
► Challenge yourself on specially designed infinite ‘survival’ levels
Survival levels are ranked on leaderboards.
PAWARUMI
Pawarumi is a fantastic vertical shmup and one of the best of all time. Great graphics, great music, three different difficulty settings with the easiest being super easy and laid back for newcomers and the hardest being perfect for those looking for a traditional bullet hell challenge featuring a crazy true final boss encounter at the end w/ a true ending.
Includes an in-game gallery achievement menu, a Practice mode to play individual stages (and being able to go for achievements that can be unlocked on those specific stages). The game’s three color weapon/enemy color system is quick and easy to pick up on and the game implements the system perfectly, allowing you to score more points, refill your health meter (Shield) and refill your bomb meter (Super). Each stage is really well designed and different from one another, with each section throwing something entirely new at you beyond just new enemy ship types. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and challenging vertical shmup with tons of replay value =)

I kickstarted this game and haven’t been disappointed. To call it an indie game really doesn’t do it justice - the level of polish is very high. Nice 2.5D graphics that are reminiscent of Radiant Silvergun or Zero Gunner 2, interesting weapon mechanics and a deep scoring system really make Pawarumi stand out among ‘indie’ games, and with just about the right level of difficulty not to scare beginners off. The game has 5 levels each with it’s own unique theme - first level is a snow base, second is a weapons factory set in industry and lava, find the rest out for yourself :-p. With mid bosses and bosses that you can blow bits off to maximize score, anyone who’s played shooters before will be right at home. Only real omission is the lack of a 2 player mode. Definitely worth £12.99 of anyone’s money!

Combo Postage
Kind of like Super Puzzle Platformer but much smoother and considerably better thought out.
Lots of easter eggs and small touches that show how much love and attention that went into making this gem.
Great accessibility and custom gameplay options, whether you need them or not!
Fantastic title; looking forward to more! :D

This game was a big surprise for me. If you like arcade action puzzle games like Mr. Driller then this game is definitely worth a look. The main mechanic of taping up boxes from the side before destroying them (shipping them?) from the top is a lot of fun and the danger of avoiding being crushed by incoming boxes sets up a lot of little micro-risk-reward moments. As the speed increases it becomes a real challenge.
Many puzzle games (like Tetris for instance) are built around longer matches that get harder and longer the better you play, so that eventually a successful run can end up meaning several minutes of low-stakes boredom followed by a short period of high difficulty focused play as you press for a high score. Combo Postage cuts to the chase much more quickly. Even my best, highest scoring Combo Postage rounds have been only a few minutes, and the challenge is there almost from the beginning. I always feel like I am making progress or have the potential of a great score, and a failed run is short enough that I don’t feel bad starting over.
