Science Girls

Science Girls

I found this to be a great rpg. The combat system was interesting, all of the characters and monsters and unique attacks and abilities. There was a lot of strategy involved.

I beat this game on hard although it is not showing in my achievements :(, because the internet went down during the last battle so I might have to go back and replay the last battle again sometime just for the achievements.

I had this in my library for a while because not all of the reviews for this game have been glowing. Although, after having gone through this game, I can confidently say that many of the criticisms were baseless. All of the girls do have unique personalities that show in the dialogue. their reactions to circumstances, and their attacks and abilities.

I came into this game with an open mind and I ended up with mixed feelings with the game. I enjoyed the corky storyline and goofy characters in this game, however I found the battling system to be very frustrating at times. Often I ended up hitting the wrong button because of how close together the list of options was and I don’t think there was a way to change the option you picked…or at least I couldn’t find it. I also feel like the enemy to player damaged/defense ratio to be unfair. The characters did not really do a whole lot of damage despite me putting skill points into almost everything and the characters didn’t dodge quite as much as the enemies did which made me rage quit a few times and it also drew the battles out too long. However I did still enjoy this game over all even though I found it frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this for everyone, but for those who are looking for a short rpg and for those who are willing to work around some wonkyness you should try it out just don’t expect something amazing because this game is very far from amazing.

Starlight Explorers

It’s a fun way to learn about gravity and orbits, with a story designed to welcome a younger audience to those concepts. Beyond that, the simple aim-and-release gameplay is versatile enough to range from a meditative squiggle-drawing activity to a fiendish spatial-reasoning challenge.

The game is very relaxing and satisfying when you find the right trajectory. For me, Starlight really shines toward the middle of the story missions where the planets are no longer shown and you must find them through their gravitation pull.

Code Romantic

Code Romantic

I am a rank amateur as far as coding goes, so I was excited about the promises this game made at the outset. I didn’t realize it, but I was prepared by previous experiences for there to be a somewhat solid logic problem element, and then a story that was written around the puzzles that, in the end, I probably could have done without.

Code Romantic is not that game! My expectations were blown away and I had a beautiful experience that I think is pretty uncommon: The puzzles served the story, which served the puzzles. I did not prefer one aspect of the game over the other, and in fact they are inextricably linked. So often, I go into games looking to enjoy some puzzles and practically disregard the writing. This game actually made me cry a couple of times.

Disclaimer: I purchased the demo of this game on itch.io but was later asked to test the the final product so my experience was a mix of paid/ free.

Basically this game comes down to - do you want to fall in love while learning to code? For someone like me, who loves romance but also tech and is trying to learn how to code in C### but intimidated- this game is a godsend. No one is creating stuff like this; it is one of a kind. I got to learn to code and read code in the context of a heroic thrilling love story. It is a great mix of challenging with user action and rewarding with story. This game is super fun and fresh. The art and music is fantastic. The story and characters had me swooning, smiling, laughing and gasping like I was a teenager again with a mission, a crush and a bunch of friends and foes.

I loved this game. I would definitely pay for a full game.

‘Entangled’ is a fun little room scale puzzle game in which you will have to traverse multi-dimensions to solve them. While the graphics are a little basic the voice acting and puzzles should keep most people amused for 30-60 mins. Just do be aware that it does require at least a 2M SQ space to play it as there is no teleport or snap turning. If you just want something quick and fun to play that is also free this is well worth the download time. In fact, I do wish there was a lot more of it for a fee because I for one would pay it.

Scar of the Doll 人形の傷跡

Scar of the Doll 人形の傷跡

Fantastic little gem of a game.

Highly recommended especially for the cheap price.

If youre into visual-novels then you’ll be right at home.

It may not be the most visually appealing or cutting edge but its great story and atmosphere alone makes up that. Though, its not a very long game at all.

I should mention that the story is a sort of mystery, psychological-horror.

Its also a really old game. Feels and sounds old-school. Nostalgia points.

How do I put this?, I was kind of dissapointed, cause i’ve played this game about 3 years ago on the Ipad. So I thought this version was going to be an improved remake version, but its mostly the same. Sure its better than the Ipad, but not by much. Also I remember specifically that I was totally confused with the plot when I played it on the Ipad, but the story seems to be much more clearer in this version.

My guess is either this has a better translation or a chunk of the plot got cut or changed in the Appstore version for whatever reason (I can’t remember it’s been 3 years).

Sloth: Heart to Heart

Sloth: Heart to Heart

I do not often review games, but this one deserves a bit of attention. It was a real emotional roller coaster and very well written. Anyone who enjoys a good story should definitely get themselves a copy of this gem.

! The ending reveals that there is more to life than scientists or anyone can explain. No matter how smart we are, there are things beyond what we as humans can understand or explain.

It’s a neat concept that desperately wanted a better execution. Buy it on sale if at all. Art style feels a bit too deviantart for what the game is trying to do. The devs just revealed you cannot get all of the content without using a hidden mechanic they have declined to share, which just makes the whole thing feel a bit lazier. I hope the devs find a better balance in the future of matching idea with execution.

Mutating plants and species promotes new raw material discoveries and blueprints. Experiment to master new technologies and settle your base in new environments.

This new world can be beautiful but dangerous as well - an undiscovered fruit or a contact with previously unknown, even the most innocuous-looking animals can provoke a disease, for which you’ll have to invent a cure. Some of them are tamable, some can only be feared and fled from - there is only one way to find out.

For optimal productivity, an explorer’s life has to be comfortable! Take care of your “workplace”, create the needed conditions by yourself and even decorate your base. Build drones, mobile laboratories, habitat, and research stations.
