Dustwind
Let’s start by saying that I really wanted to love this game. I was swayed by nostalgia over Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel but was ultimately confronted with the realization that Dustwind still needs a lot of polish to compete with modern games.
The AI, in general, isn’t anything special which in some cases takes away any bit of immersion you might wanted to experience. Enemies screaming HELP due to low health, but insist on running towards you, or staying completely stationary while being shot at with sniper fire.

I cannot give a positive review of this game. I tryied… but this is getting worse everytime i play on it. I really wanted to love this game.

DEAD This game is dead, in all ways. No one plays PvP, no ones play PvE. If you have friends to play with… give it a try but do not expect playing solo.
-
DIFFICULTY The difficulty of this game will make you nuts.. it is hardcore on every map unless you know exact positions of every enemies. It is a TRY HARD game until you finish successfully a mission.

Lamia Must Die
(If TL;DR, then watch my less eloquent review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mho_vEQHzIw )
I spent a long time trying to elaborate on what I want to say about this game, but after hours of thinking, I realized it would be best if I put it thusly:
1.This game’s mechanics are really good and consistent with little to no gameplay glitches
2.The graphics look nice but are not accurately displayed or scaled correctly in a consistant manner at any resolution it offers
3. Voice actor audio can cut out but at least it’s consistent when it does (ie the same audio cuts off in a cutscene no matter how many times you play through it)

Lamia Must Die. . .Eventually. . . Just as soon as I stop dying.
Lamia Must Die is a game of adventure wherein you are not just one person but rather four people. You can change two of your party members and their styles are definitely unique. You adventure into a dungeon and skip all the trash tier monsters completely. The only game play is a big epic boss battle.
Graphics and Art
The graphics are not that good, but it’s excuseable. This game runs mainly on artwork and pictures anyway and it’s played through various GUI’s, which all look and feel rather fluid and work well. The artwork itself is rather nice and sometimes kind of mediocre, though certainly better than I could care to draw. I’m not completely convinced that some of the pictures of the characters drawn were drawn by the creators of the game or anyone they hired. I don’t think they were commissions and rather just something free. If they were drawn by the creators then I ask why there is no consistency in the art work. Some of it looks great while others look like it was drawn by a complete ametuer who had way too much interest in tits. I of course refer primarily to Lamia.

Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit
After playing the demo I waited for this for so long…. and the full game surpasses my expectations. More enemy types and mechanisms and more brain racking to finish a mission. Also if you played the demo, the full game lets you CARRY OVER YOUR SAVE FILE. Awesome.
So what’s this game? Well in addition to the descriptions above I must say, the AIs can be pretty aggressive… not knowing the map fully on first tries, you are prone to die a lot. (remember: your hon gauge fills up when newly possessing someone and use a bit of that to dash through walls at the end of the gauge to get away) The game does let you play with fewer enemies if you die too many times or are having trouble but no real manual difficulty setting which I like. It’s immersive. You can’t choose the difficulty in life. It was nightmare mode for the Koreans in 1920 every day.

I was captivated by the E3 presentation so much that I had to play. I love horror, especially eastern stuff like Fatal Frame, so I might be a bit biased.
It’s a fun game, but quite repetitive. There are a lot of bumps that I’ll explain, but nothing to serious to stop you from playing. It’s significantly easier than it looks, even offering to replay missions with fewer enemies when you die often, and never (visibly) penalizing you for it.
Much of the game consists of three different types of missions; slaying, in which you’ll kill everyone in sight, fetch quests, where you’ll sneak around to get something for some spirits eternal rest, and the unfortunate bulk of them, will be rescue missions (escorts). The Ai can only really get stuck in the same places you would, which you will likely memorize and avoid, which is bearable, it’s okay as they follow you quite closely at an inconsistent speed. Most of Challenge mode consists of escorts, which is off putting, but the main game is enjoyable enough for 4-5 hours, especially in terms of rich atmosphere, and locations through different seasons, the best part.

Band of Defenders
lol this game is FREAKING AWESOME the more I play it the more I love it,
seriously (not sarcasm) this is easily one of the best games on Steam,
takes fps ‘skill’, has all kinds of upgrades and weapons and turrets and barricades to get, all kinds of strategies to try out and test,
has solo and multiplayer etc etc
-Easily- one of the most under-rated games on steam, and maybe one of the biggest ‘hidden gems’ I ever played in my whole gaming life.
Anyone down-voting this either came in with massive preconceptions about the game or was expecting something else, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this game other than it’s too short (lol),

Initial Reaction:
The Good:
I like this game a lot - really fun co-op with friends. Small community which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. You can share weapons you craft with friends which is pretty cool. The game has a lot of potential and I’m excited to see where the developers take it. I like that you can instantly reorganize your defense between rounds (if you misplace a turret or wall, there is an “undo” option which can be used immediately or in any round after).

Cepheus Protocol
an open world RTS game the description can be a little confusing to the ear as what makes an “open world rts” other than an RTS with a really big map?
it is in fact justified, in that the mechanics differ somewhat from your typical RTS game. specifically the ability to build almost anywhere and the unique emphasis on resource utilisation as opposed to procurement and steam rolling, rushing and turtling as you may in other titles. whilst these methods are indeed still viable it by no means guarantees success as sticking to any one template will often result in your defeat.
– Real player with 57.4 hrs in game
As someone who normally plays steam games and doesn’t keep up-to-date with patch notes and news related information relayed by developers, Cepheus Protocol stands out as one of the first games where I genuinely take the time to read Dev letters and patch notes. Without considering the overall story, the visuals and gameplay of Cepheus Protocol are always engaging for me and the dynamic between the CERC and the infected really sets the tone for how the game plays out, as I often find myself underestimating the infected and their sheer numbers, paying for such mistakes dearly. It definitely puts me on the edge of my seat and contrary to other games, I find myself often taking the time to put the game in slow motion or pause to consider future actions instead of trying to speed the game up- a clear indicator to me that strategy cannot simply be waylaid by overwhelming firepower for early to mid game. Once you do acquire overwhelming firepower at the end game though, the game simply becomes more fun and casual as you can enjoy the visual and audio effects of clearing out hordes of infected with air support and your geared ground troops. I cannot wait to see what the developers of Cepheus Protocol have planned for the campaign with what I have experienced in their open world mode, and I look forward to seeing the release of what I hope to be an engaging story alongside the already great RTS element that has been introduced. Dark Dragonkin
Dark Dragonkin is a RPG adventure in which the player alternates control a party of characters, guiding each of them one at a time (though control may be swapped from character to character at any point) to the portal to exit the level. Every level is designed such that each party member must contribute unique skills to help the party through to the portal. All three characters must reach the exit portal to complete the level. Each party member has hit points which they can lose by getting hurt by enemies or obstacles in the dungeon. Should any party member run out of hit points, they die; game-play will then continue with any remaining members, if the member can not be resurrected, the level will have to be restarted and try again. However, the game offers unlimited continues.
Each party member offers a unique set of skills:
-
Rose: The tank of the party. By far the most durable. She has more health and takes less damage than the others. When using her shield she becomes nearly invincible. When charging forward she can stun enemies and move heavy objects.
-
Dante: He is melee DPS. He can dispatch most enemies when he can attack from behind. Stealth is his ally. He also specializes in jumping great distances to avoid obstacles and get in the right position for the kill.
-
Nova: He is a ranged caster. He can dispatch many foes with a fireball at range. He also can dispel magical wards as they descend into the depths of the dungeon.
-
Evelina: No party is complete without a healer. If a party member falls to the dangers of the dungeon, no worries, because Evelina can bring them back. She can also changes into a fairy to sneak through all the tiny cracks in the dungeon.
Features
-
You control each character separately.
-
Each character has their own unique skills to get past obstacles.
-
Every Level is like an old school RPG puzzle.
-
Even the enemies are puzzles of how to avoid or destroy them.
-
You must figure out how to gather the party at the exit portal to advance.
-
Powerful bosses that are a challenging puzzle to defeat to gain passage through their realm.
Hold your houses
