Loretta
Loretta is a psychological thriller that would make the player an accessory to the heroine’s crimes and would lead her through a self-crafted nightmare. This story is about a woman, dealing with betrayal, her husband’s infidelity, relationships problems and difficult social situation of the 1940s.
Conceptually and aesthetically, the game is inspired by the American art of the twentieth century, the works of Andrew Wyeth and Edward Hopper, film noir of the 40s-50s, thrillers by Alfred Hitchcock, the Philip Ridley movie “The Reflecting Skin”, the books “1922” by Stephen King and “Lolita” by Vladimir Nabokov.
Story
The year is 1947. Lora and Walter Harris move to a farm, which used to belong to his parents. Walter is a writer and Lora is a housewife. Both are quite unsuccessful.
The family is going through financial difficulties. The situation is also complicated by the fact that Walter owes money to people from New York. And although the husband keeps it a secret from his wife, Lora has a suspicion. Moreover, she suspects him of cheating.
Lora understands that she gave up her job, her dreams and other opportunities for her failure of a husband she doesn’t even love. Now she is stuck in a cold empty house barely making ends meet.
As she struggles to make loan payments, she finds out that Walter’s publishing house has insured his life. In the event of his death, the insurance sum would be 30.000$. A plan is born in Lora’s mind.
Loretta is a story-driven adventure game in which gameplay focuses on choosing phrases in dialogue, interacting with objects, and making decisions: planning the murder and getting rid of the evidence. Killing a husband, trying to cover a crime, Loretta makes a player an accomplice.

Fostering Apocalypse
(Contains Spoilers, So read at your own risk) Let me start by saying the art style in this game is top tier, the simplicity of the environments is quite beautiful. Not to mention the character sprites are incredibly well done. Now i did encounter a few bugs though which i will get into in a minute. Before that the story should not go unmentioned, it is fantastic for how short it is, really captures the player and makes you feel many emotions, So great work on that! Now about the bugs i encountered. The first one was that when i first entered the Cult Hideout Del was spawned in at the very end of the track. None of the interactable objects spawned in and i could run along the bridge forever. So i had to reload the auto save. The second bug i found was a lot funnier and honestly i liked it lol. At the cult hideout when Barrett was found to be a demon by the old lady, the game for some reason decided to spawn in 2 extra sprites (Another Del and Barrett) So i was standing on the bridge looking at myself and Barrett aha. Overall i really enjoyed this game and now will go try and 100% it. 10/10 Would recommend

Fostering Apocalypse is short, incredibly sweet, and leaves me wanting more. Incisor Studios does a wonderful job portraying a grungy, post-apocalyptic wasteland. The art style, as well as the pacing, reminds me of a graphic novel.
Knowing that the game would be a short experience, I wasn’t expecting to grow as attached to the characters as I did. From the moment Del and Barrett were introduced, I was hooked. I wanted to know more about both of their lives, and I genuinely cared about getting the best outcome possible.

My Lovely Daughter
Fathers were always so Underrated
My review after a long while tbh, I will dedicate this one to my loving father. Whom I believe just as the father in this game, would probably do anything for me to be alive (ok maybe not so twisted as these things haha)
This is roughly a point and click adventure which includes a dark story, symbolism, time management all in one for a plot where a single father is trying to revive his only hope in the world: his daughter. The story follows a man named Faust who lost everything important to him which was his family. He is an alchemist and he was banished to the forgotten parts of the city where the people who did not belong lived. There many many things happened and he lost his daughter and he uses the forbidden arts to revive her.

Graphics: 5/10
Music: 3/10
Story: 3/10
Overall: 4/10
I wanted to like this game. I really did. Not only because management games are right up my alley, or because I just love Princess Maker style games, or because a dear friend gifted it to me. But because I DO love dark and twisted takes to those sim raising games.
A raising sim where you aren’t raising a daughter but homunculi that are mere tools for a bigger end? It can’t get much darker than that. You are basically playing as the very-very-very bad dad from Full Metal Alchemist that used his daughter in an experiment to keep his goverment money. But as much as I love those dark takes, I don’t take well when people assume that my inteligence and capacity to differenciate reality vs fiction and good vs bad is null. Right as you start the game you will be greeted by a long text basically explaining why what you’re about to play is so horrible and terrible and I’m not sure if it’s just that the developers really think that the people who will buy this game are idiots, psychos or if they just want you to feel bad and guilty for playing it but it’s certainly one of the two.

Of Bird and Cage
After waiting patiently for this game to release, I can firmly say the end product being so much more than I expected. The game plays on some very intense situations as you join Gitta on her downward spiral into addiction. You’re placed in scenarios where bad decisions can cost you your sanity and really throws out the question of how far are you willing to go for your next fix. One thing I absolutely loved about this game is that you can choose to not partake in Gitta’s vices, but will equally struggle with getting by. Indulging in her addiction will lead you down a broken path, but choosing to stay sober will give you a chance to experience the mind-numbing struggle of needing to take one more hit, but refusing to do so. That is really well done in this game.

Of Bird and Cage doesn’t really start until you approach the sound guy and ask to have your demo CD played. It is this very CD that provides the non-stop musical engine that drives the rest of this two-hour experience divided across three multi-part Acts and a summary credit sequence and epilogue. Once the music starts to play each and every scene in the game will unfold at the pace and length of each song, as displayed by the track progression meter at the bottom. When the music stops, the level ends regardless of what you have or haven’t done. You could simply stand there and do nothing for the duration of the song and the story will continue, albeit taking the failure path vs. a potentially different path if you were to accomplish the listed objectives. A list of tasks and sometimes collectibles will tell you what needs done before the music stops.

4 Alice Magical Autistic Girls
4 Alice Magical Autistic Girls is a visual novel that accomplishes what it sets out to do: tell an interesting, fantastical and magical story while allowing the player to see and understand the world through the eyes of a teenage girl with autism. By doing this game manages to create awareness of autism educating the player through the gameplay experience while still entertaining. The main character portrayal breaks the mold of the typical video game protagonist by giving us a representation of a functionally diverse individual.

I found this to be a very short but entertaining and memorable game.
If you like Sailor Moon, Madoka Magica, slice-of-life, horror and the supernatural, then this is the game for you.
What sold me on this game was the fact that it’s about autistic girls and was written by an autistic woman.
As a fellow autie, it was really nice to see some good autistic representation since it’s not something that I get to see very often because autistic people are so underrepresented in media overall.
Please support autistic creators and our works, whether it be through financial assistance, word-of-mouth or both!

Glisten to your heart: The courage within you
Glisten to your heart is a gentle, relaxing game with some great advice. It has a great sense of humor (especially if you like breaking the fourth wall!) Altogether, it took me 4.5 hours to complete. This game is worth far more than its current price tag. Hoping to see more from this dev!

Gods of the Twilight
Gods of the Twilight is a multi-season episodic visual novel that places you in a dystopian near-future where old magic is reemerging in a world on the brink of Norse mythology’s apocalypse. Play as two protagonists—one male, one female. Explore government conspiracies and attempt to navigate your social and romantic lives while a decaying future world faces Ragnarök, and ancient truths about you and your companions start to resurface.
-
Your choices determine the protagonists' relationships with their companions, and with each other.
-
A range of possible endings, for your characters and for the world.
-
Choose which romance(s) each protagonist will pursue, or choose none at all!
-
An episodic story released over time, where choices carry over between volumes.
-
At least 3 volumes, with over 95,000 words (10-15 hours of gameplay) currently planned for the first volume alone.
Both player characters have romance options of multiple genders, including each other! But the romance arcs are completely optional, and you can enjoy the game’s core story and all endings even if you opt to romance no one.
Althea Mishra - A scholarly but sheltered daughter of two high-achieving parents, she’s an intellectual who nonetheless loves dirty jokes.
Farkas Heklason - Under the hardened exterior of a guy who survived rough streets growing up, he’s a scarred introvert whose emotions run very deep.
Sara Grímsdóttir - Sensitivity and strength combined, this mostly soft-spoken girl is just as full of bravery as she is compassion for anyone she encounters.
Hector Koskinen - A shameless dork, he’s involuntarily wealthy thanks to his CEO father, but nonetheless straightforward and honest to a fault.
Lieutenant Cebisa Komani - A duty-driven Icelandic special forces police officer, she’s now an operative for the highly classified international operation dealing with recent supernatural occurrences.
Mikael Pulkkinen - Hector’s valet, who has become more like an older brother to him through the years they’ve spent together. Easily sees through bullshit and has zero tolerance for it.
And more as the story unfolds!
Madrid Noir
Nice little detective story about mysterious uncle. It is not a game, more like an experience, with few small interactions. Played on HP Reverb G2 with Index controllers. I had to lower resolution to 50% (otherwise the game crashed right after launching) but it still looked great and sharp and felt like it is still at 100% resolution.

Madrid Noir is a VR interactive animated movie that is paid program. It worked on my HTC Vive system with RTX 2070 super, looked good, sounded good, played ok, was understandable. No help or instructions in-game, make assumption you know your way around VR. Has 3 languages to choose from: English, French and Spanish. Has some interactive objects to use to move the story along or to play with. Was a wonderful story with a good plot. Has a 45 minute runtime. You have only play space movement, the story will move you where it needs you to be. You might wanna be standing for this one, the movie goes all around you. You have a choice of 5 hand colors. The voice over in English was good. Not sure what the French and Spanish version are like, but i guess the be of same quality. Has cartoon Violence. Has good animations and textures.

Nightingale
A bit of background : I have played both acts of Shadows on the Vatican to the end. And I am also old enough to have played every Infocom text adventure when they first came out. So I was really looking forward to Nightingale.
Alarm bells rang when I found I couldn’t save whenever I wanted but I must say the branching system works well whenever you wish to change any earlier decision. I have managed to get a few different endings in one playthrough – and not a save file in sight.
I found the pacing of the text worked well, introducing a sense of tension that might not have been there otherwise.

Nightingale
This was a very interesting read; I was intrigued!
-
Clean crisp user Interface
-
Story: Not one I have seen covered
-
Excellent music that reflects the tone and pacing in the scene.
The protagonist in this Text Adventure has a special talent. The Nightingale has been helping people for years with their paranormal gift. One person that the Nightingale helped is a professional assassin. That creates a dilemma.
This is a short-story set in the “Shadows on the Vatican” universe, but you need not have played them.
