I, W.O.M.A.N.

I, W.O.M.A.N. is a Twin-Stick Arena Shooter with a Sci-Fi theme and story. With a quick-to-start design, you can start blasting robots within seconds of loading the game. Use a variety of futuristic weapons and power-ups to fight rampaging robots using your keyboard or game controller.

Start by customizing your Weaponized Operational Military Android Network (W.O.M.A.N.) character. Your task is ensuring the safety of the humans kept aboard the spacecraft in suspended animation. Unfortunately, a computer virus of unknown origin, for now known as The Malware, is taking over the ship’s service bots. As a W.O.M.A.N., you are independent of this ship’s internal network, and you operate autonomously, which allows you to fight off this intruding threat. Your only hope of saving the humans in stasis is to repel the rogue robots from that section of the ship, then work your way to the Bridge to reboot the Central Computer, which will theoretically purge The Malware.

Rule No. 1

Real fun game, appropriately price, with a cool OST that you can change on the fly, loads of guns, and a fun main character with many awesome (and some really silly) one liners. Rule No. 1 is still in Early Access but haven’t really run into any bugs myself. The pixel art is a nice throwback to classical games, with many nods to games like Blood and Shadow Warrior in the one liners, and many movie quips. The first game mode is wave based, and you begin fighting explodey shapes that get progressively harder, and more enemy variants appear the further you get, until it turns into an absolute cluster of stuff flying all over the place. The devs are also great, as they seem to keep working hard on it, and are very responsive to the communities feedback to make the best possible game out of their concept. They recently added another game-mode for shooting some hoops xD, which I didn’t expect but it works really well, and is a quick way to grind some exp. I can’t wait to see what other game modes they’ll be adding to this, and hope to see some kind of campaign someday even if it’s in a different game altogether hint hint. The character is fun enough that I’d like to see her in some kind of campaign of sorts in a similar vein to some of the games she gives nods to. I’m really glad I bought Rule No. 1 on a whim because it’s definitely been worth a shot, and it’s only going to get better!

Mandala

Mandala

Mandala in the eastern languages means circle and they are geometric shapes inspired by nature and the world surrounding us. They unfurl from a center and spread out towards the edges, in the direction of infinity. Drawing and coloring a mandala has been a meditative activity since a long time. It lets one explore themselves through an interesting choice of shades which represent a creative stimulation.

Mandala brings forth this experience in a videogame.

Game experience

The game’s rhythm is not hectic, but it requires concentration and reflexes nonetheless: the mandala shoots slow and numerous bullets which move in a rotating fashion. The complex patterns are hard to predict and feel hypnotic. The colors and the music help creating a strong sense of immersion, aided by a steady gameplay rhythm.

Customization

The mandala’s customization is essential: you can choose between various drawings, styles, brushes, tones, themes and music that influence both gameplay and aesthetics. Each game is unique and Mandala gives you total creative freedom.

A linking story

Thin, yet enduring threads link every mandala to each other… like true friendship. Discover the story of Camilla through the pages of a diary; unveil her story by completing all the mandalas in the book.

The editor and social media

When you complete a mandala, it is possible to view your score and be rewarded with various marks, depending on how well you played. There is also an editor in which you can customize the output of your game, export the image in .png format and share it both on social media and online leaderboards.

Main features

  • Immersive, hypnotic gameplay

  • 8 mandalas to color with a pastel-styled book

  • 32 colors and 8 brushes to unleash your creativity

  • In-game editor for sharing your inspiration on social media

NEKO ARENA

NEKO ARENA

It wasn’t too long ago when I was contemplating ending it all by jumping off a bridge that was 15 minutes away. I had lost everything. My wife divorced me for being a deadbeat, ended up taking custody of 2 of our 3 children. 2 months later, CPS comes in and takes away my only child left anyways. I was not allowed to even see my kids for allegedly being “unstable.” Not only that, but Andy (my dog) had recently passed away before I was blindsided by the divorce. I was in a dark place, and I thought that nothing could turn me away from that bridge.

Viscerafest

Viscerafest

Viscerafest

Viscerafest is a piece of playable poetry wrapped around a bloody gut-punching, alien shooting, retro-style shooter, that seems to be heavily inspired by games the likes of Duke Nukem and Quake.

And not just heavy inspired; Viscerafest literally plays out and feels just as good. Lead by a tenacious, narcissistic female protagonist who doesn’t care about anything other than quick cash out and goes the extra mile to cause as much mayhem as possible, a fitting personality for the game I must say.

Usually I don't do reviews, but this time is exceptional

Let me cut to the chase. This game is good.

I'll try to not over praise this game because now avaliable only one episode and it's too early to say, how good full game will be, but at this moment everything in this game makes me scream "Bloody hell, that feels good!!!". Movement is fast and smooth, gunplay is good and well-balanced, enemies are tough and every one of them requires a special approach to kill them, levels are complex and really creative. If you are a big fan of oldschool shooters and you're looking for real challenge - Viscerafest is your choise.

## Wasteland Angel

This game somehow reminds me of the mid-90s sci-fi flick Tank Girl, but maybe the similarity begins and ends with the post-apocalyptic setting, the cartoonish art style and the main characters, both girls whose favourite activity seems to be shooting mutants. You take on the role of Angel, who drives around in her car and saves the inhabitants of post-world war III settlements from mutant attacks. So much for the backstory.

Gameplay wise, Wasteland Angel is a no-nonsense top-down shooter. You're looking at a desert landscape from an isomotric perspective, drive around with a car whilst shooting at other cars that likewise shoot at you. That's pretty much all there is. Your main armament consists of two fixed guns, additional weapons can be aquired by driving over power-ups. Each level has three stages and, after you defeat the stages final boss in the third, a short bonus stage that leaves the top-down view and switches to a first-person perspective. The game never breaks from this pattern.

Honestly, this game is exactly what it presents itself as - a fast-paced, post-apocalyptic arcade-style game focused around vehicular combat. Within that mold, there's some aspects I appreciate quite a lot.

1) Civilian towns. The primary objective is not just to survive against all comers, but to protect towns full of civilians - this often, at least for me - created situations where I had no choice but to hold off on blowing up targets trying very hard to kill me in order to protect civilians. This particular feature just seems very well designed - you've got enough heallth to sacrifice some if you have to in order to protect civilians, the game smoothly increases complexity from one town on a flat map to multiple towns on a map covered in impassable terrain obstacles, etc. If a bunch of civies are walking back to town after the transport which took them is exploded and you or an enemy runs them over, they die, etc. It's little things like that which make a good game a great one or a bad game okay.

## She Will Shoot

(Revised a previous review) As of late October, 2021, I still cannot recommend this game. The whole thing seems incomplete. Paid $0.74 and not going to seek a refund for it because I feel the game has potential. For what it is worth, my pros/cons are as follows:

Pros:

- Graphics are fairly good.

- Player movement is realistic.

- I love zombie-themed games (and this is so)

- Love the slow-down feature (X key) to slow the action when shooting zombies.

Cons:

- No save feature.

- No continue from save feature.

So yeah this game is shit, but cheap. It can be used to kill some time.

It is poorly optimised, and there's no real gameplay.

I wish there was a "Meh" option.

## Succubus With Guns

It plays well, very nice model detail and the boob physics is on point. Too bad there isn't more lewd stuff, I had fun circle jerking the mobs with the sword tho. The AI is pretty easy to cheese. That being said, I wish there were more healing spot and ammo for the 2nd stage.

So this game seems to be made by one dev, it's a little rough around the edges but I find it fun, definitely challenging, and the developer has been highly responsive to issues, making the game much better than it was at release. I recommend it for a simple wave shooter with sexy, although not actually nude, models to run around and shoot stuff.

EDIT: After getting further in this game, I can no longer recommend it. I am starting to wonder if the developer has even tried playing their own game. The combination of punishing, 13-wave runs against bullet-sponge enemies, clunky, difficult aiming that makes you waste most of what little ammo you have on empty air, limited health that doesn't spawn enough, enemies with rocket launchers that just spam and blow you away after you've wasted twenty minutes or so getting to Round 11 just to get sent back to round 1, no kind of upgrade system to make any of this more feasible in the face of this torture, (as far as I know) no galleries or rewards to unlock, make the continuation of this torture less and less interesting.

![Anstorm](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/966010/header.jpg "")

## Anstorm

If you like simple top-down twin-stick shooters give this one a try. Anstrom seems to be inspired by Ubermosh and TTV and basically offers a mix of both, though it's not so much hardcore arcade-style. There is a campaign (story mode) with bosses (ans some are pretty good, classic 2d Contra-like). The campaign alternates between arena actions with different objects (clear area, run, survive x seconds, find something, destroy something, and more) and fewer maze levels (TTV-ish with enemies). And then there is Survival mode which comes in two separate flavors, Maze and Arena, that is more arcade.

A very solid 2D-Arcade-Shooter. It has it's charm even though character movement can lookt a little bit janky. I helped to translate the game so if you don't understand something it is probably my fault. The dev is open for criticism so if you want to help improve the game just help him out.
