Exception
If you like neon, flashy graphx, platforming games and EDM, then this game is absolutely something for you …
You play as a thread in a computer (that’s the story, don’t ask), and play a meatboy-esque game where time is of importance but you have way more abilities; you can also attack enemies… and during the game you’ll be able to upgrade your character…
I got this game in a bundle and as an ’80s kid, this game almost made me drop my jaw the first time i saw it… i did drool though :)

Really good game, I enjoyed it a lot so far. There’s nice cut scenes and a story in between finishing every world and the game looks very nice too. Not to mention how cool the gameplay is. It gets increasingly harder but yet not too challenging. Also after playing through the game once, you can play through it again to get all the bytes and unlock all the upgrades. And after that you can replay the levels individually again to get your name on the speedrun leaderboards. However, there were a few bytes that I’m pretty sure were impossible to pick up (altough i might just be missing something). Also, the final level wasn’t challenging enough in my opinion. Good game in general and I would say it’s worth the price.

Sole Iron Tail
I loved this! The movement feels fast and fluid, similar to Sonic or Freedom Planet, but with its own twists with charging and sliding. When you start building up momentum and racing through the level, it just feels great. The art is adorable and the soundtrack is a legit banger. For the price, this is a steal, especially if you like classic platformers with an emphasis on collecting and speedrunning!

Had a great time running and bouncing around this cute story. Mechanics are a blast and the music is great. The game is quite charming! I would recommend it to fans of Sonic games for sure.

Sonic Generations Collection
How do you define a good Sonic game?
The series was struggling with the right answer for this question. The Sonic Generations attempt was one of the last possible calls for SEGA to do things right and… they succeeded! This game single-handedly revived the franchise for me and gave me the kick to check out the old classics for the first time (I’m the Dreamcast Kid). This game is really this good!
Imagine that the famous band tries to set up “The Best of…” album. They take one song from each previous album. Some of those releases were horrible and you think: “Remaking this track is a bad idea! This was a dark age for this band!”. You are relieved when you notice that the “that one” dreaded song sounds so new and fresh! Even more… you notice that every song has one version for the original vocalist and second for the new one that came into band recently. This is Sonic Generations in nutshell. They took a level from every single game in the main series and remade them to fit for both: the old and cute Classic Sonic with 2D gameplay and the Modern Sonic with the boost mechanic. Fear Sonic ‘06 no more! Crisis City in this game better than ever! And you can cure your PTSD from the Silver boss fight here! Don’t like him? IT’S NO USE! He will suffer and you will be satisfied!

This game is short and story is cheesy, but has a lot of replayability due to multiple routes each zone has to provide a unique experience for the player. This invites them to explore new routes and experiment on which route is the shortest and best to present a satisfying experience of “Going fast.”
You play as Classic Sonic, which represents Sonic’s origins as a 2D game, and play as Modern Sonic, which represents Sonic when he transitioned into a 3D game.
Classic Sonic incorporates all of Sonic’s moveset from Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles and plays like how he is back in the Genesis era, but with modern controls. Classic Sonic’s zones are played in 2D setting, but the environment has a 3D look.

Speed Swing
A short game - just a few hours from start to finish, with only 20 unique levels, but well worth a few dollars for the interesting gameplay. Fairly difficult as you go on, with the first 5 or 6 levels being relatively simple, and then ramping up in difficulty quite quickly from there. if you don’t like getting frustrated, maybe give this one a miss, but mastering the game physics (or finding a cheesy solution to a troubling problem,) can be quite satisfying.
not too much replayability unless you’re into leaderboards, but there are a few competitive entries to pit yourself against if you are, (with the first few places seeming functionally impossible if you ask me.)

A very entertaining game that takes skill and challenges you. If you’re someone who enjoys speed running, then this is right up your alley. The games objective is to use your rope to make it to the goal. Although that seems easy enough it can take some time to get use to the physics of the rope, but when you do it is very satisfying. The game has a built in timer for each level that keeps track of how quick you complete each level. There’s also a leader board for the game. A fun game that gives yourself a good challenge

Luciform
it’s a fun game, I like the color-switching mechanic and the campaign, the randomly generated level can use more variety. Luciform brings a unique simple but amazing design to the table, features a small cute platformer that will make you sweat, as simple as intense, very well structured and you sense the heartfelt dedication and devotion of the creator into the content creation and the gameplay, the campaign is varied and challenging, and this game is updating and developing all the time, and if you ask me the future is bright!! Will definitely recommend , worth every penny! :)

An intriguing game. It looks easy at first, but it quickly gets challenging.
So it’s a platformer, but if the platform is of a certain color (red/blue/green) you will have to transform first (with a press of the matching button) or you will go right through. But the game will let you retry as many times as you need to pass the level.
There isn’t a whole lot of story, but there is an intriguing gorilla nemesis apparently, and you have friends to liberate!
It’s the kind of game where the solution looks semi-obvious, but executing it requires a bit of concentration and a bit of precision. It kind of reminds me of “the impossible game” but here the gameplay is much richer. And i like the cute Luci ball. Cool music too.

Rifter
This game is amazing. You should buy it.
There are certain games that are just special. This is one of them. I put it up there with Nex Machina as an impeccable arcade experience that will have you throwing your control in frustration and then rushing to the store to buy another.
It’s will feel wierd at first, but once you “get it”, the experience is invigorating. The speed, the precision, the challenge.
You’ve probably noticed the amazing aesthetic + music, which provides a lovely backdrop for your hours of playing the same level over and over trying to shave off seconds or complete one of the games devious challenges. Good stuff, but the real meat here is the gameplay.

Super fun fast-paced grappling hook platformer with smooth acrobatic movement, fantastic level and enemy design, and satisfying dash-into-enemies combat that will make you wonder why other grappling hook games don’t do combat this way. The controls make it very easy to pick up, especially considering it’s a grappling hook game, but it’s still ridiculously hard to master; I’d argue that some of the optional end-game challenge levels are even harder than the equivalent levels in Celeste.
It has a ton of levels, hidden collectibles and optional challenges, e.g. “finish this stage without touching the ground” or “finish this stage without using the grappling hook more than X times”, like the similar “only use X portals” challenges in Portal. I bought this after randomly seeing it in my Steam discovery queue and ended up getting waaaay more polish and content than I expected, along with super tight momentum-based controls. Highly recommended!

Scud Frenzy
I really enjoyed my time with Scud Frenzy. I am someone who is happy to repeat a level and get better and discover efficient ways to compelte the levels - it is rewarding when you finally suceed. Also - it helps you learn the important things in the game.
The whole atmosphere and art work is really on point, you get the right vibe from it and the sound track is great. The levels felt interesting and not repetitive, which is an achievement considering how much content is packed into this £5 game!

Scud Frenzy is a solid over the top, twin-stick shooter, score attack, action game with good systems and fun gameplay mechanics. Super fast pace shooting and massive destruction with time limited exploration makes this a unique experience within the genre.
Each level only lasts about 1 minute which makes replaying them a few times to figure out the best path to victory a unique and interesting gameplay loop. Finding powerful weapons or +10 second time pickups are incredibly rewarding as they allow you to keep racking up the multiplyer and hit that high score.
