Overpass

Phew, what to even say about this game besides that it is amazing.

The art, the gameplay, the music. It all works together to create this concise but beautiful journey as you play through the original levels. Learning and mastering the game’s fundamental mechanics and the gameplay principle before inevitably showing up at the final level. (The game does a fairly good job of teaching you of this without any tutorials besides basic controls but this also mean that some people won’t pick up on certain things. It may be enough to ruin some people’s ride overall just cause the levels get too difficult for them. No there isn’t much to learn, it’s just the fact that

! the object’s position in lanes is correlated to their movement or positioning. This is taught in the Forest Region and used even more on the Plains Region. )

So I’ve been playing this game for a while now. Around 200 hours by the time I’m writing this review. Here are my thoughts

This is a casual rhythm game. If you’re a hardcore rhythm gamer like osu! Don’t expect this game to be hard as you think. Although you can make it hard as you wish.

The most common complaint I’ve heard is the obscured notes. And I actually see this as a good thing. It’s a rhythm game from a new perspective. Which the reason why it’s a casual rhythm game in the first place. It’s on the music, Not completely on the visuals. You have to have combine your sense of rhythm WITH visuals. Which most rhythm games often doesn’t do. It’s absolutely brilliant.

A truly bizarre game that attempts to capture that 1980s console and arcade feel, Pixel Poops! A truly **** game, literally…

Replying to

Pixel Poops is developed by Mostly Random Games, and published to yyrGames, and became available on STEAM on the 20 Feb 2021. The game is free but with optional DLC that looks to mimic the styles of the C64 and NES. The free version of the game has an Atari 2600 feel to it.

The premise of the game is simple. You have a problem with the joggers! Joggers are happily jogging across the local park trying reach their fitness goals. But armed with the healthiest metabolism the world has ever seen you’re going to put a stop to that!

akda

akda

Akda is a strange game, and I really can’t understand the extremely negative reviews.

It’s now sold on sale at 0,30€ and I bought it in a 0,99$ bundle along with 20 other games.. so really it’s something that can’t even be judged. It’s a PAID game, but it’s a real game.

And it delivers exactly what its premises are - “a symple physical puzzle [game]”. So the developers said, and that’s what you get. I don’t know what to expect more for such a title with these premises.

I really liked the fact that the developer chose to employ a minimalistic approach in the whole game, starting from the gameplay itself and finishing in all the other aspects.

akda is a daringly simplistic but very challenging puzzle game primarily putting absolute strategy as the forefront. Players are challenged to specifically complete thirty stages, without being timed, by leading colored balls into colored baskets. Initially, it appears easier than it sounds until players have begun actually progressively completing objectives and realizing the challenges aren’t friendly. Actually, they’re very unfriendly since the challenges intentionally frustrate the players with style whether they’re controlling where and how the balls lands, rolls, or falls.

Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy

Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy

This is no doubt one of my favorite games in the library, and I highly, HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who likes Action games or Old School RPG satire. The game is about a boy who sets out to save a kingdom and, through a twist of fate, ends up making a pact with the Time Goddess to save the world…which only has 30 seconds until it explodes!

The game mostly parodies people, gaming, and most of all, the classic RPG, and it does it well. The game as a whole is really a parody, making it a point to “Grind, Grind, Grind!” when really getting to high levels only takes a few minutes. While the player only has thirty seconds to save the world, they can pray to the Time Goddess and, with an added fee, can turn back the clock. The story is expansive, and there are multiple paths and multiple endings, as well as multiple ways to go about each level (some story arcs even being surprisingly serious and tense).

Truthfully, going into this game, I didn’t know what to expect. With the name telling me I have 30 seconds to complete a mission, I thought it was going to be very easy. This is far from the case. As others have mentioned, this game makes you think strategically about when to grind, when to spend your money, how to spend said money, when the best time to fight the boss would be, etc. It’s this balance while forcing you to think on your feet that makes it so interesting. Some missions you may beat the first time, others, especially the bonus missions, may take you two, or three, or even more attempts at them, but you will most likely end up loving it every time and, at least in my experience, rarely, if ever, ever give up in anger because it’s that fun and addicting.
