First of all, look at the numbers of hours played by the negative reviewers. I do not believe, at this point, there is one that has played over an hour. It’s hard for me to believe anyone can make an honest assesment about this game spending that little time with it. Why? First of all, it’s been translated from the french version. The developers claim that the translation is 95 percent done…I don’t think so. I probably spent an hour looking up words used in the game menus using Google translate to convert into English. I don’t recognize farm machinery by look alone, so to figure out which machine was the seeder, I had to translate that to french to get “semoir” before I could figure out what machine it was.

Relaxing game that might remind some of you of an idle/clicker game. Still, it feels different because you will neither reach high numbers nor unlock a lot of things.

Even though, at the moment (13th of January, 2021), there is not a lot of content (20-25 hours needed to get all of the achievements, grinding required), it was enjoyable all along, mainly thanks to the cute aspect (music and graphics).

Do not hesitate to give it a try !

Farm Frenzy 4

Farm Frenzy 4

This is NOT a farming game. It is, in fact, a factory game, the use of farm products as widgets notwithstanding.

If that’s fine with you, then great. Personally I want a FARMING game - without the “social” junk imposed by Farmville.

There is no continuity in this game whatsoever. You are not building a farm, you are not planting crops, you are not able to choose for yourself which farm buildings you want or where they will be placed.

It’s a series of hoops you have to jump through with a set goal, imposed by the game, and totally linear. The only thing that is valued is how fast you can do things. They place the buildings at random so at each new “level”, none of which last more than a few minutes, you are starting over with some random initial conditions. Within each level, the initial settings will be the same, but from one level to the next, you are starting with different buildings placed in varying and seemingly random locations, and with a variable number of farm animals and varying amounts of startup cash.

I have never played any of the prior Farm Frenzy games except the demos. FF4 is a surprisingly addictive game. I am used to buying and playing high-budget AAA games and playing a “casual” game like FF4 is a different experience for me.

I was introduced to “time-management” games recently and I am enjoying this genre because it requires a bit of fast-paced thinking, not just clicking. FF4 can get a little hectic and it takes a while to get through the entire campaign. It is very difficult to collect all the Steam Achievements due to how many rounds there are in the entire campaign.

Farm Manager 2018

As someone who absolutely loves Farming Sims, I can say this is my favorite. I should add, my kind of Farming Sim is the game that puts you in the place of the farm owner or the farm manager, not the guy physically out there driving the harvester. If you want a game where you get in the machine and drive through the fields, this one isn’t it. But this one is the best one out there that is following in the footsteps of the original SimFarm. You buy the land, lay out the roads, plan the fields, and hire the help to work the crops. Then, most importantly, you balance the budget and watch the market to make sure the farm stays in the black. There are a few annoying bugs that have gotten better since the game was released, but they still exist.

Review as of 2018-09-09

I like this game and am getting my money’s worth out of it. I’ve seen it compared to SimFarm in other reviews, which I find to be a fair comparison. It has most of the features I expect from a modern business simulator game.

That said, it is not without its fair share of problems, and, at this point, feels like an early access or brand new product that needs polish. It was released in April with major updates in June and August, so I’m hopeful that some of the issues I’ve run into get resolved in time.

Farm Manager 2021: Prologue

As a whole, I found the game quit enjoyable to play. It was somewhat confusing… at first… especially with the placement of the power lines. With the game, Youtube is your best friend.

Would I recommend this game to play… The graphics are very good. There are plenty of tasks and challenges to complete. I am physically disabled and only have the use of my left hand. This is the first game I’ve played in a long while, that doesn’t end-up frustrating me after 5 minutes of play… and I quit the game. I have over 7 hours of play in the game, and I’ve just begun to scratch the surface of the game.

Great concept but cheap and buggy implementation. Not sure if i want to buy full game.

Even in this relatively content-poor demo i’ve encountered too much problems (both bugs and game design flaws) and in the full game with much more content there will be much more problems.

What i’ve seen so far:

1)Bugs:

-Saved game doesn’t load

-Some fields are only being plowed and cultivated but never sown for unknown reason no matter how long i wait, while adjacent field works fine

-So called “organic” weed isn’t being produced. Despite sowing organic seed i still harvest casual weed

Farmington County: The Ultimate Farming Tycoon Simulator

Farmington County: The Ultimate Farming Tycoon Simulator

This is a great game. It reminds me of Banished in the sense that everything is available to you from the start and you have to work your way to earn things you need to grow your farm. There is nothing to unlock. You start with simple farming tools and have to work the land by hand and build your way up to eventually using heavy farming equipment. At that point, you’ll have a huge farm because the land that you work on is massive. You also have to fuel and repair the vehicles and tools degrade overtime so it’s best to keep them in under some shelter.

I was searching for this type of farming tycoon for loooong time. When i first saw it a stopped the video at 30 seconds, and came here to search it. I bough it and i played 7 hours in a row. Guys. This is the type of game that with the right guide line, and the help of the community with the combination of a good developing team it will RISE up!

My ideas for the game, as an early access game, is to bring us a Community Workshop, where developer team and players, work together to evolve the game!

Lobster Empire

Lobster Empire

You know what….

I started this game as something to play to make time go faster in anticipation of my mail coming…. after two days of casual Lobster catching I found my self in Era 2 still waiting for my mail and then then era 3 then four and then trying to get that damn Albino and his gigantic aquatic boyfriend just to find that there are 3 more even harder to find dead lobsters……

After a week or so of streaming this in a random public discord I have been told this game is like: stardew, sims and maple story heck even rune scape but no this is Lobster Empire a game that I got for like 1$ in a humble bundle and a game that after a week of blood sweat and tears and more determination than the ending deserved I find myself glaring at a question mark but also happy that I got this far with the other 4.1% of gamers.

Nice game for Mobile but not PC worthy.

The whole logic of the game resembles a lot more a Mobile game then a PC game. You have to wait X time in order to get forward in the game, in the mean time you have nothing to do and there is no way around it. Its somewhat of a Mobile clicker game…

The base idea is good and would work if it would give the player actually something to do while you waiting insted you in my case is was in-game for 16hours, actuall playtime was maybe 3 hours the other 13 hours i basically was waiting for the game to prefors a task (getting to and back from the Sea).

Sheep

Sheep

Sheep is a sheep herding game. Unbeknownst to most people, sheep are actually aliens that were sent to observe the earth millions of years ago. In the process, they were dumbed down to the sheepish mammals we all know and love today.

In this Lemmings-inspired game, your goal is to herd sheep across 28 hazard-filled levels so they can be rescued by their educated alien cousins. You play as one of the four sheep herders. These are the humans and dogs Bo Pee, Adem Halfpint, Motly and Shep. You herd four breeds of sheep and have to protect them from the evil mr. Pear.

UPDATED April, 26

Changed to recommend since Devs are communicative and very responsive, they are fixing all the bugs and issues, adding also more content!

I was already liking the game concept and now I am truly enjoying it and even if probably I will encounter some more bugs, I’m sure they’re gonna be fixed and any issue solved.

The game is addictive and now, with the last update, the developing is really going in the right direction.

Keep up the great work making this game a true little gem!

Farm for your Life

Farm for your Life

tl;dr

Cute farming/zombie survival game combined with running a restaurant.

Achievements are doable, but require some patience.

Story

As you might have alreadey expected an unkown virus has turned people to zombies. In order to survive you have to plant vegetables, cook and serve your customers in your restaurant. At a later time you will be able to get some NPC helpers and even try to search for a cure.

Gameplay

The controls feel right. It is not too complicated and you don’t need to rush too much. If you want to unlock all the achievements, you will need to do some mini games with perfect score. For some people it might feel annoying, but I am not very skillful and I still have done it. Therefore I think it is not that hard.

Real player with 43.1 hrs in game

A fun little casual game.

The zombies aren’t too scary, the animals and toons are cute, the gameplay is easy to learn.

The storyline provides what is being advertised. 5-6 hours of story-related gameplay. After that, one can always continue in “freeplay” mode.

Replay value seems limited, as is the content. No procedurally generated world, which makes replays seem all alike.

A few bugs here an there, nothing major though:

[olist]

  • Customers sitting on each others' laps, dishes occasionally getting stuck and being hard to remove. Not a big deal, most of these are self-clearing when the restaurant runs out of customers during nights. Saving and re-loading the game cleared all these issues too.
