Terroir
DO NOT BUY! This game can be fun but…only for the first hour when your small i thought it was a tycoon game and it doesn’t feel the way. It feels like Rimworld except the challenge is the weather and the “supply and demand system” so i will explain
Weather: Its too unpredictable it feels like some years your in Arizona where it hardly rains and the next year you’re set down in Washington and it rains all the time and sometimes not enough for crops to get ripe, even with no foliage. I enjoy challenging games but tycoon games don’t come to mind unless there is AI and ill get to that later. There is absolutely no research for predicting the weather if they get too ripe you can usually bring them down but if rains so much they don’t grow it is almost a guaranteed FAIL. In the start of the game its easy to deal with but in later stages two bad years you will spend almost a half a million in maintenance and if you can’t produce anything with the rain never stopping and rot eating into you’re yield you are doomed. There needs to be a way less RNG, I want a challenge, not a game based on luck, it just feels very lazy, even for such a cheap game.

Fair warning, I know nothing about wine but I am a big fan of tycoon games so I thought I would give this a try. I’ll deal with the positive first, the game’s graphics are attractive if minimalistic, and serve their purpose nicely. I appreciate the option to pretty up your vinyard with assorted items to create a nice looking creation. The full voice acting is also nice, if somewhat unneccesary. The problem though is with the core meat of the game, the winemaking and tycoon-ing. Making wines is initially a huge challenge, and you will barely scrape through the start of the game with no real knowledge of how to create each wine or the facilities to do so. Slowly, you learn the ‘recipe’ for each strain and can begin to make a 5-star wine every time, quickly accumulating vast amounts of money. Initially, I was stumped by how to increase my renown enough to upgrade my estate or unlock helpful worker tools, but then I realised that the Tavern, a relatively cheap building which also makes tons of cash, earns you an absurd 6 renown per month (for context, a month is about 30 seconds uninterrupted). Once I knew that, the difficulty curve completely reversed and there was no challenge whatsoever. I upgraded to the maximum and researched all tools and techniques within a couple of years, and hadn’t really needed to use any of them to get to a point where I was a millionaire with maximum reputation and totally bored stiff.

WoMen in Science
Fun farming game, you have to make things instead of buying which is kind of awesome, but I got to winter and still hadn’t found a bucket to milk the cow, so very little money was coming in so I just started a new game, I’m hoping I can figure out how to milk the cow, it would help get through winter as well as being able to cook, but I really like the game and its kind of being made as we play.

I think that this game deserves a lot of positive feedback, so I really wanted to give it a thumbs up!
It’s much better than I’ve expected considering that it’s still an early access. You can easily enjoy it at this stage of game development and it’s surely worth your time and money. If you love science, technology or just wish that you could play game like Stardew Valley but with added bonus of gaining insights of how things work in real life - give it a go! I also love the dialogs and general game story that makes you feel that you’re being part of enlightened and progressive community.

Agricultural Simulator: Historical Farming
This game was pretty cool with the landscapes and farming equipment. I had fun pretending to be a farmer. Planted wheat fields, made hay, took the milk to market, and even chased the damn chickens. Thought I could just deal with the glitches by saving often. Saving often does work but it got to the point the game would crash too often. Examples: There were times that all of the animals would disappear from your farm. Genuine WTF moments. This glitch seems to occur sometimes when getting on the tractor and then wham, all animals disappear. So, I started saving the game before i got on the tractor..so that I could reload if necessary. Well, that worked for recovering the game, but it crashed shortly after getting on the tractor …at least the animals are accounted for. Another glitch I observed was animals sinking into the ground. I had to reload an earlier save because the game tells me that the bull is still in the pasture, but I cannot see him anywhere. I have seen animals almost completely sunk into the ground and would “save” them by taking them into the barn. This resets them into a stall and no longer partially underground. etc. In conclusion, this would be a fun game if the glitches would be fixed. As you go further into the game the glitch frequency increases regardless of the workarounds. Frustrations increase and you feel that you are wasting your time. Therefore, I cannot recommend this beautiful game.

TL;DR
Pros
-
Complex, in-depth simulation; more detailed than any truck simulator. Complexity stems from scope and detail of farming operations rather than a huge exploratory world.
-
Historical environment.
-
Detailed objects.
Cons
-
Glitchy and buggy gameplay but then tractors do look kinda like buggies.
-
No updates or patches; support links in the manual lead to blank webpages.
-
Graphics options aren’t always saved.
End Of TL;DR Read on if you want to know more.

Agricultural Simulator 2012: Deluxe Edition
I brought this when it was for sale, 79c. I was unsure on which agricultural simulator to buy, i ended up buying this one because it didnt seem too old to be out of date, nor too new to be all buggy. It was also because at the time of buying this, there was only one negative review, and, thats all the reviews there were. One. So i went and brought this i thought i should try and write a helpful review about my experience on the game.
Oh, and dont be decieved by the very low amount of game play i have, its just because steam and this game dont want to cooperate, but i have had more gameplay than just a couple of minutes.

Alchemy Story
I was a backer for this game early on, I had high hopes for it back then and if anything my hopes for it now are even higher. Yes it’s early access, so as such it has some minor bugs/glitches and in the beginning you may find yourself wandering aimlessly. But this game is pure relaxation.. and really, isn’t that why most people purchase and play these sorts of games? The art is charming and beyond cute. The characters so far show promise in terms of personality. There’s a lot of things to do, upgrade, brew and purchase considering how early on in development this game still is.

So far I find this game constantly trying to kill me with its overabundance of cuteness. If I had to describe this game, it would be the Arcane magic version of My Time at Portia (Magic instead of Engineering), with the small town aesthetic of Stardew Valley, with a super cute Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing art style. As the game is in early access, this review may not always be up to date, but I’ll update when needed for new viewers.
Pros:
The inventory system is pretty easy to get used to and best of all no limits to weight or stack, to my knowledge

No matter how old you are – this game is for everybody. It’s quite old hence very low system requirements. Nice music and quite good graphics, though in 4:3 format. Forty-eight levels, of which at least a few is really hard to complete in the best time. Sixteen awards, some of which are quite difficult to accomplish so the best way is to find some clues on the internet. If you want to get all awards and beat all levels in the best time you must plan most of them very well and prepare for many frustrating repetitions. Highly recommended especially on sale.

I used to love this game when I was younger and I am so happy that it got converted to steam. I completed every level within a week of when I got this because I was so excited.

Farming World
Overall good if you want to micromanage farms
Recommended if you enjoyed playing John Deere American Farmer or Farming Giant,
also less buggy than either of them.
Bored? Create your ideal farm in a couple of hours.
Start with cows for fast cash, get stars by processing food, there is no end game.
Most “bugs” reported are intentional - realistic annoyances,
except it’s designed for XP so need to use fullscreen mode in newer versions of Windows.
Internal achievements for plants, animals and contracts are non-functional,

I will preface this by saying that, in truth, I genuinely love this little game. It’s simple. Not criminally so, but simple nonetheless. It’s a farming management simulator, and has its tendrils set firmly in a long past epoch of gaming.
Long, long, past. In fact, this game plays like something from decades ago, which might just be why I find it charming and enjoyable. Make no mistake, get it on sale. I don’t think most people share my nostalgic fondness for this charming little game, so if you have doubts, get it on sale. In truth, getting it on sale is almost a must either way.

Farmtale
I didn’t quite expect to be re-reviewing this game, but I am glad I am able to give this game a positive review. After about a year of near radio silence from the devs, they updated the game, keeping the main gameplay loop of the old version, but adding quite a few new features and overall just made the game a much more enjoyable experience. If you had this game a year ago and are wondering if you should return to it, I’d definitely say yes. For anyone who never played the original version, but is looking for a short and sweet (roughly 20 hour) experience that combines both idle and base building gameplay, I’d say give it a go. The devs seem like they now intend on routinely updating the game, and as of this review that have been following through with their promise. One last thing before I end this review, if you do end up getting the game, you get to experience pretty much everything you can do in the game before you pass the two hour refund mark, so if you don’t enjoy it in the first two hours, you can know you probably won’t enjoy it and vis versa. I left my original review below if you’re interested on why I originally rated the game negatively.

Fairly small and uncomplicated idle game.
Progress can be sped up by manually clicking, but it functions quite well on its own for quite a long time before more upgrades are needed to make more progress.
My one big problem with the game (at the time of release; this is an early access) is that there isn’t enough information behind some of the upgrades. Some upgrades will state a percentage, but not telling me if the bonus is additive or multiplicative with other upgrades on the same building. Speed increase upgrades are equally secret. No information on whether it reduces time by percentage or seconds. This makes it difficult to discern which upgrades are worth going for.
