Total War: WARHAMMER

Total War: WARHAMMER

I’ve played total war games since Rome and I have to say that yes, it’s BS that you have to pay another 60 bucks (easy) to get the “full experience” and even MORE SO to pay 4 flippin dollars for BLOOD EFFECTS in a TOTAL WAR game; yet with that being said, this is probably the most epic, amazing, awesome game that I have in my library thus far- can’t tell you how many times I banged my head against inanimate objects before taking a step back and appreciating the algorithmic-type cunning that the AI uses against you; as well as the deep and engaging gameplay aspects- morale has always been a thing but steamrolling an entire Orc Waaaaagh by concentrating fire and having nearby units re-charge the lines, close to routing, themselves- is fantastic.

Graphics/animations: 9/10 (zoom in for awesome animations)

Fidelity to the franchise: 9/10

Replayability: 8/10

AI: 3/10

Depth: 10/10

There are only four negatives. One you feel nickel and dimed for all the expansions, but it’s worth it. Two the AI and seige battles are very problematic. The AI…is…well…stupid…compare the AI to games like Starcraft 2 and you’ll quickly find yourself wanting human opponents. Online ladder needs a rework and the loading time for the campaign map is long. But other than that it’s a fantastic game. 7.6/10 Over 1300 hours played.

The Seener, a powerful band of Wizards, have been removed from power and seen their families kidnapped by an opposing house. Fortunately, a young powerful Seener wizard survived the siege and is now on a quest to restore the Seener to its former glory.

Teaming up with Elves, Dwarfs, and Mages, you’ll need to build and manage settlements while researching powerful magic to overcome the enemy in tense, company-based warfare.

The game is currently in Pre-Alpha with many mechanics already implemented, however, many are still work in progress.

Troop formations and workers can be managed with ease. No selection of single units, control entire formations or all the workers at a specific base.

Play at your own pace; time can be stopped at any time; manage your large army and its formation. Select which unit and building types to attack.

Use the in-game editor to create and share maps with other players.

SEAL OF APPROVAL. 10/10.

Perfect game for those who love Creative and Casual Games to chill, with various characters to play, but more importantly, it has a simple system that allows you to make your drawings or sprites into animated characters that battle, with powers already ready or customized by you! it’s extremely addictive! I recommend full price!

  • Easy system

Sorry for the brief description of my review but as for what i mean one thing that i find that i wish was in hyper knight battle is the various unit levels like the different minions/sheilders etc. like the elite ones or mid level ones. I also think that you should have a knight characters to hyper knights battles the mini bosses in hyper knights basically. i think it’s cool how they have there different abilities like heal motors inspire etc. which i think would be a great addition to hyper knights battles. One thing that i’m typically drawn into by battle simulators are the facts that usually the environment is intractable meaning things can block units way like rocks or trees or even better destructible surroundings a good example is men of war assault squad which in game the units can destroy walls rocks towers etc. that would heavily improve my liking another thing i would like to see is unit bodies for some odd reason i get a feeling of unjust when the unit simply vanishes after being defeated. Another recommendation add a little randomization among units combat like missing or blocking like in the upcoming game totally accurate battle simulator the units actions are very random meaning even some of the weakest units can possibly win a fight against a slightly better opponent i would like to have a feeling of random ability meaning if i put shielders against minions i don’t want the minions always to win a way to do this is to incorporate the minions shielders and archers special abilities as seen in hyper knights. last but not least continue to add more units no just infantry but vehicles if possible and other things building like walls or tents or even towers that can be added to help change the tide of battle.

9/10 - Well worth checking out for turn-based fans!

POSITIVES:

  • Planning simultaneous turns is an interesting, well-executed twist on traditional turn-based tactics games such as “Battle for Wesnoth”.

  • How you use and influence the cards you draw can be critical: generate extra income, deploy or upgrade units, and give direct boosts.

  • The graphics are stylish and the interface provides plenty of information without getting overwhelming, even when a lot is going on at the same time.

NEGATIVES:

Steam recommended me this game based on my love of turn based combat, card games, and fantasy. Based on the positive reviews and trailer I decided to give it a shot and tried the demo first and then immediately decided to purchase it within 15 minutes of playing. I absolutely LOVE it so far - it is highly addictive and is a perfect combination of tactical combat and strategy with each map taking a good amount of time - not too short but not too drawn out either. The graphics and battle map remind me of the card game Faeria, whereas the simultaneous orders of tactical combat is like the 4x game Endless Legend. The orders system in particular is my favorite part because it really challenges the player to think two steps ahead and anticipate the AI’s moves. It is a very unique game that I hope to be playing for a long time. I started with the campaign first and I am hoping there will be enough material beyond that as well. To be honest I am surprised that there are 100 reviews currently on Steam - I’d expect a game like this to get more attention!

Oh no, it is morning, i have to go to school. Grrrrr.

But i will be back and then i smash you!!!!

Welcome to ANDALIA.

Information / Review English

Andalia combines the game styles of strategy and real-time strategy game, which was developed by Joel St.

Gameplay / Story

In terms of time, the game is set in antiquity and has similarities to the successful Age of Empires. At the beginning of the game you have a main castle, town hall and a farm at your disposal, which is the starting point for building up the further economy. More residents have to be created quickly, who now erect buildings in order to be able to grow and mine various resources: food, wood and other resources. Combat units can be created in some buildings, while technologies can be researched in others. Towers and walls can be built for defense. There are a total of 5 factions, which are divided into Academy, Zikkuart, Refuge, Bastion and Castle. These differ in terms of different unit types and buildings.A game is won by default by defeating all opponents, some of whom are well hidden on the map and can also be found in the underworld.

So fun! If you like games like Risk or Chess you will love this game. But instead of turns its all in real time just really slow, like make your move to set up what you want your ships to do, then come back and check it hours later when they are there. Or you can set your ships to loop, so they pick up and drop off troops where you want them FOREVER. I just started playing and entered like 15 games at once and I spend all day playing it without having to wait haha. Addicting, fast and great learning curve, and good replay value (harder for me to claim this latter one as I’ve only put in 40 hrs so far, just seems like a game I will always come back to).

The only negative reviews about this game are people who are mad because there are no tutorials and don’t know how to play. I mean… I was in the same boat but I had no problem learning, it is actually really easy to learn and only took a couple minutes, so I’m not sure what the problem really is. There is a wiki tab right in the game to help learn and beginner games.

I like it because it doesn’t need my full attention. I can play another game and have this up on my other monitor. Only have to play a few minutes each day and you can have multiple games going at once.
