Hocus Defenders

Hocus Defenders

An Intense Tower Defense that combines the heat of resisting waves of hundreds of enemies with the need to use powerful spells through cards. Each game will be unique, and you will never encounter the same challenge twice. Also, you will need to unravel the story as you progress through the different worlds as the roguelike it is.

Build, upgrade and destroy!

Prepare your defenses, and protect the Hocus Tower against hordes of enemies who want to kill Abracadom, the Wizard of Time. Summon the mighty Crystal Towers, and destroy anyone who dares to approach your home. At your disposal you have a wide variety of towers, each with a unique and powerful attack. Remember to upgrade them on the battlefield, or you may have unwanted guests in the Hocus Tower…

Summon powerful spells!

The different Tarot decks gives the sorcerer their magnificent spells. Summon terrifying meteors, fill the ground with blazing embers or create mighty blizzards. Use magic at your will, but keep in mind that fate is capricious, and the cards will decide which spells you can use at any moment…

Thanks to his powers of time, Abracadom does not contemplate defeat. You can always go back to the past, and spend the loot you have obtained during battles. The Emporium X at the tower will provide everything you need for future battles, but everything comes at a price, of course…

Travel across the kingdom!

Rally with your tower across the kingdom, and travel through hostile territories (against you). From plains dominated by terrifying orcs, snow-capped mountains home of ice-giants, and even the classic labyrinth dungeon. And since it will be difficult for you to visit the same place twice, everytime you travel places you visited may change…

Western Sigil

Western Sigil

Western Sigil is a tower defense game in which you take on the role of the sheriff’s son, tasked with maintaining peace in the town of Wadeville. Idyll will not last too long since a dangerous plague has broken into the city walls and your mission is to find its source and stop the rot from spreading.

NOTHING UNITES HUMANS LIKE A COMMON ENEMY

Recruit cowboys, Indians, National Guard soldiers, Mexicans or even bandits - everyone, regardless of their political views, wants the end of the ugly plague.

Or Do they?

BE SMART

Strategically deploy your forces on the map and set up turrets. Hire new members and gain experience to develop your units. Throw away their rusty guns and gear them up with new weapons to make your team even more powerful. Set ambushes to weaken your foes and find out who’s the cause of the overwhelming havoc.

APPROACH BEASTS OF ALL POSSIBLE LEGENDS AND TALES

Fight orcs, demons, skeletons, goblins, trolls, forest creatures and even animals like wolves or bears. The variety of monsters you will encounter in-game is a good material for a separate bestiary book, a weird one, that is.

FEELS LIKE A MAGIC

The task is made difficult by the fact that there was some kind of strange magic involved in all this. To remove the unfortunate spell, you must find all the mysterious sigils and close the portal leading to another dimension, the very home of awful creatures disrupting the peace in Wadeville.

FEATURES:

  • Protect your lands in this unique tower defense & resource management game sprinkled with a spicy pinch of strategy.

  • Get in the ranks with cowboys, Indians, soldiers, local Mexicans or bandits.

  • Distribute the units on the map properly - their location determines their strength.

  • Hire new members to boost your performance on the battlefield.

  • Gain experience and develop your units by equipping them with new, shiny weapons.

  • Set ambushes and place standard and premium turrets to protect every single acre of Wadeville.

Main Features

  • Atmospheric medieval location.

The old cursed dungeon with several gates awaits you, from which numerous enemies arrive. You can also find dangerous traps that will come in handy to eliminate enemies

  • Non-target combat system.

This system works for both players and enemies. This means that any enemy attack can be dodged.

Especially sophisticated players can choose the Ultra-difficulty level. This will allow you to get 3 times more points, but will require dodging any damage, since the character will only have 1 health point.

  • Various enemies.

Endless living dead, terrible knights, insidious magicians and many others, about whom you can find out when you meet. Different enemies have different characteristics. Some are weak and slow, some attack from a distance, and some can get so angry that it will be impossible to stop them…

As you progress through the Campaign mode, you will encounter several bosses. Fighting some of them will require special skill from you.

  • Skill tree.

The development of your character will take place by learning skills in the skill tree. At the moment, there are 3 intermediate and 4 advanced character classes available. Each of the advanced classes has unique active and passive abilities.

  • Cooperative multiplayer.

It is much more fun to destroy crowds of enemies together with your friends. This feature allows you to play in a team of up to 4 people.

Monster Battle Quest

Monster Battle Quest

If you like strategy based, action sort of games then this is DEFINITELY for you!

The GUI isn’t the best and the game isn’t that hard until level 20.

It’s not too hard and is definitely worth the price.

You can upgrade all your monsters so that they are stronger!

Real player with 2.3 hrs in game

Overall it’s decent. Some later levels are just so much more difficult to do to 3 stars than the ones around it. And then it can be followed by one that has so few enemies that there’s no way you’ll ever lose on it, let alone get less than 3 stars.

Mostly the challenge is when there are ranged enemies you can’t kill before tanky enemies get in front of them. You’re pretty screwed then and forced to just send low tier mobs to act as a shield for a more powerful monster on your team. At least that’s how I managed to do it most of the time.

Two Worlds II Castle Defense

Two Worlds II Castle Defense

Two Worlds II Castle Defense Review

Less RPG, more strategy this is what Reality Pump Studios brought us this time, it isn’t the sequel or a sequel to the Two Worlds franchise as we know it, just a game added on to the universe that seems to play off while events in the main game occur.

Some key points that this game offers:

  1. Large level design, which can allow for up to 50 units on screen deployment simultaneously.

  2. Content straight from the original Two Worlds and Two Worlds II games.

  3. There are six different characters for you to make use of in each Level’s defense.

Real player with 280.0 hrs in game

9,99€ on this game is just the company showing that they only really care about money.

This game only has a few different levels with the same mechanics in all of them. In fact this is the first game I have seen that displays all its content on the gallery of sample images on the store page.

I got it in a bundle so I gave it a try. What I wasn’t expecting at all is the lack of information about what you have to do. There are so few options that you can figure it out by yourself soon but there’s not a single hint about what does each unit, what are they useful for, when should you upgrade them and what does that upgrade too.

Mostly Intense Monster Defense

Mostly Intense Monster Defense

this is a steal of a product

if you ever miss the original style of pvz this is 100% a game for you,it has the same great feel that i have come and love

but this isnt just a clone as it has fewer towers enemies and a single stage

but what this game lacks in quantity its gives back in harder gameplay and THE WHEEL

the wheel basically allows you to switch the types of attack for each tower some attacks being good against some enemies and bad against others this forces the player to always be engaged with the game by constantly having to switch attacks based on the enemies at all times instead of just putting your defense and leaving the game to do the rest

Real player with 5.3 hrs in game

Mostly Intense Monster Defense is, obviously, a PvZ clone. And at first you could easily think there are no real addition than just a sunflower clone and a peashooter clone. However, this game got a Tactic Wheel wich changes everything, being able to change how some towers changes like the Skelly (Peashooter clone) can either shoot bones from the top or the bottom, the bottom being able to attack small ennemy and hit weaknesses of other ennemies. Wich sounds awesome, however the tactic wheel only works on 4 of the 6 towers in game, and yes there are only 6 towers in this game with only 2 being kinda original being the Dark Mage and the Goblin. Now the biggest problem in my opinion is the balance, with only 16 levels wich is kinda short (PvZ having 50 levels and a lot of minigames after the adventure), the Dark Mage is kinda not that good. You can either shoot fireballs dealing a bit more damage than skeletons or iceballs dealing pretty bad damage but slows down ennemies a bit, and honestly sometimes putting a skeleton instead of a dark mage is worth it. Also the ennemies can be unfair sometimes too. The Cowboy guy in particular, that can jump over defenses and deal good damage, and in the final levels it almost becomes mindless spamming of towers hopping not to be overrun. So, Mostly Intense Monster Defense isn’t a bad game, nor is it a great game. It’s decent and I had fun playing it, kinda sad that only in 2 hours the game is finished and all I can do is replay campaign levels or that survival mode that after wave 20 it becomes nightmare simulator. So, a solid 12/20. Play it if you want to have a bit of fun, however just how some achievements are insanely rare (even the “Finish the campaign” one is below 10%) you probably ragequit if you’ve got bad temper.

Orcs Must Die!

Orcs Must Die!

@The:

I installed Orcs Must Die! and played through the first two difficulties with a constant smile on my face, pretty much bewitched by the fun combination of traps and spells I could use during each mission. I refused to let it go until I beat it on the hardest difficulty and got all the achievements. I give this game five skulls (and a horned helmet to boot)!

A fun, addictive, and enjoyable experience that keeps on giving.

Orcs Must Die! is not the type to focus on its lore or story more than it’s necessary. There’s a legion of baddies out there and it’s up to you and your ridiculously generous array of traps, weapons and spells to stop them. The simple and funny cinematics and voice acting cover the rest. The protagonist is witty, easy-going, wise-cracking, and arrogant to the point of annoyance. And as such, I lovingly refer to him as Bruce Campbell.

Real player with 97.9 hrs in game

Orcs Must Die is the classic tower defense game with the added twist your character being controlled in the first person perspective and equipped to help out when those wall mounted axes isn’t quite getting the job done. First person tower defense is nothing new but it is how solid and streamlined Orcs Must Die feels that makes it stand apart from it’s competitors.

You are the last of the War Mages, not the brightest, not the strongest, just the last one. And you are all that stands between the peasants of the land living in an idyllic medieval utopia and being introduced to the business end of a rusty axe. To stem the tide of orcs pouring in through magical portals you must progress to a succession of levels killing increasingly larger and more diverse waves of enemies. To help you on this task you have your trusty crossbow and variety of traps and magic.
