Lords Of The Fallen™

Lords Of The Fallen™

I decided to write a review of this game because most of the recent reviews are from people who have barely played the game (some haven’t even completed the game) with very little achievement progress. I have spent almost 200 hours playing this game, and have earned every achievement. This may go without “saying”, but I’ll “say” it anyway: I’m going to attempt to chronicle my way through this game and the process I used to learn about the mechanics and what I found frustrating. I used an XBox 1 controller, so button references will be made accordingly.

This is a hard review to write. In many ways, I REALLY like the game. In other ways, I’m very frustrated with and dislike it.

The graphics are excellent, even today. On the other hand, the gameplay is extremely frustrating. I’ve gotten to the Labryinth and have “hit a wall” when it comes to patience.

Here’s what I mean:

1. There is no way to adjust the difficulty if it is above your abilities. Yes, I admit I’m not a great gamer. I’ll never compete.

I play games recreationally to blow off steam and relax. No relaxation here. When I first started with the game I died about 20 times (killed or game crashes (see below)) trying to get past the 2nd boss (the Commander). WAY too difficult for the reasons I want to play games.

Barbarian

Barbarian

Barbarian is a low poly survival game, with a souls like combat system, where you can dodge, block, and parry attacks. This system is in place, to make combat more exciting and intense.

Parrying

In Barbarian, you’re able to gather materials, craft items, build homes, make farms, level your character up, have animal mounts, and explore the game in a free roam manner.

Barbarian will have 2 different game modes, normal, and hardcore. In both normal, and hardcore mode, your character progression will be saved. However, with hardcore, you will lose your character progression on death. This will be more for those hardcore gamers, who want to play a more difficult game.

Note

Barbarian is currently in it’s very early stages, screenshots shown are subject to be changed, and same with more information being added here in the future. For updates on the game, you can check out our YouTube channel for Dev logs.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos

You are Pseudo, a powerful warrior living as a recluse in the strange land of Zenozoik. When you become embroiled in a quest for the Artifacts of Chaos, everything changes. Explore the world and defeat your enemies, but never forget the sacred rules of the Ritual.

The Mysteries of Zenozoik

You are about to enter a strange and inhospitable world. During your quest you will meet unusual characters, travel across breath-taking landscapes, and discover ancient secrets.

The Protector and the Protected

Pseudo is a formidable warrior. Despite his outer stoicism, he is haunted by his memories and chooses to live apart from civilization. This quiet existence is upheaved when he meets a small orphaned creature whose incredible healing powers have attracted the attention of Gemini, the terrible mistress of the Artifacts. Unable to leave the boy to face this threat alone, Pseudo decides to protect him – not realizing that larger forces are at play.

The Only Law

In Zenozoik, there is only one law. According to an ancient custom, the rules of combat are determined by a game of dice using artifacts with special properties. To succeed, you will have to search for the most powerful of these artifacts, fighting your battles according to the ever-changing rules of the Ritual.

Martial Arts

To succeed in hand-to-hand combat, you must master all the ancient techniques. Every warrior, no matter how strong, has weaknesses that can be exploited. Grab your enemies, block their hits, stun them, dodge attacks… every opportunity seized takes you closer to victory, but mistakes can be fatal. To bring down the toughest opponents, you will have to perfect your skills.

One Night, Infinite Stars

Every night, Pseudo’s dreams are so vivid that they literally come to life. Enter his mysterious dreamscape and embark on a multiplayer adventure. Play co-op with up to three players or challenge other players in arena combat.

DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED

DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED

What Dark Souls is not:

  • the hardest game of all time

  • in any way polished (even in the remaster)

  • remotely functional as a game

What Dark Souls is:

  • one of the most interesting, inventive, atmospheric action RPGs ever created

This is my favourite game of all time, but it’s not for everyone. It’s less about tight, high-octane action and flashy spectacles and more about atmosphere, exploration and trying to make head or tail of a game that does a lot of things and refuses to explain any of them. That or just breaking the game’s mechanics until you ascend to godhood.

The first dark souls game. ‘Remastered’ Note, I don’t agree with them taking down the prepare to die edition.

Pretty good PVE and fun but imbalanced PVP.

PVP is a backstab fest and heavy armor/poise is meta. You’ll sometimes see Mask of the Mother, Havel/Giant armor and great club using tryhards who will kill you in one backstab. Backstabs are very latency and connection based. However the PVP is still a blast when fighting people with more normal builds. It’s flawed but good fun.

PVE is the more well done part of the game. Only complaint really is that you start off in New Game plus once you kill Gwyn, you don’t have the option to not go into new game plus like in Dark Souls 2.

ANCIENT SOULS

ANCIENT SOULS

It’s a Souls like runner game. You can explore the level, unlock new rooms. You will dodge the traps and fight against the different enemies. You will face Bosses in every level of the temple.

You will need to master the sword technique of Divine artifact “Tyrfing” and learn the way of Allfather. You have to improve your connection with the elements and upgrade your Holy amulet “Brísingamen” with the souls of the fallen . After that you can face Thor and you can release Fenrir from his chains.

DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die™ Edition

DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die™ Edition

Short version :

One of the best RPG games EVER made, that’s coming from a gamer who’s played over a hundred RPG titles in his life.

Dark Souls - 9.5/10

_Long Version :

Darks Souls….. so much to say about this game.

The game throws the player in a very difficult world, not just by gameplay standards, but plotwise as well. The story / lore is depicted in such a way that it’s never speaking to the player directly, but rather to your character, it never breaks the 4th wall by directly telling the player what to do and how to do it, only the basic attack move buttons are given to you at the beginning, and from then on, you’re completely on your own for the rest of the 50+ hour journey. Unless you get a co-op partner that is._

TLDR: Yes.

Dark Souls has issues.

While most entertainment experiences go out of their way to encourage your interest, it feigns indifference to your attention.

Introducing itself via bizarre and meaningless cut scenes you find your protagonist in a pretty dull dungeon. “Oh look, a man with a sword viewed from third person” you observe with a mounting sense of déjà vu. “No doubt I have a healing potion and a sense of manifest destiny somewhere in my bag too” and reach for the reset button/cyanide pill. But Dark Souls IS different - not that it is keen to show off. Like Usain Bolt winning the Dad’s race on sport day mumbling something about how he probably jumped the gun, Dark Souls’ initial coyness infuriates and astounds with equal measure.

Dead In Time

Dead In Time

Is a hardcore action with a non-trivial level generation system. Each enemy that you meet on your way, is deadly and unique in its own way. Control time, use a large arsenal of weapons and uncover the secret of time.

I always did not like the idea that after the death the player should start all over again. In Dead in time after the death of the hero, you find yourself in the next generated world, where new enemies and traps await you.

Each enemy in Dead in time is unique and deadly in its own way. Due to this gaming experience in each of the worlds will be different.

All the mechanics of leveling in the Dead in time is realized through the items that the hero finds on his way. Each item has its unique skill and has the ability to raise its level. All items above the first level will remain with you after the hero’s death, but will lose one level.

Control time to create “arches” to attack in combat. Also, you can slow down all enemy objects and accelerate yourself, thereby gaining an advantage in combat.

  • Random generation of environment, items and enemies.

  • After the hero’s death, you get to the next randomly generated world, and do not start all over again.

  • More than 150 different rooms.

  • Each world is different for its unique gameplay and enemies.

  • Control time to gain advantage in combat.

  • Become stronger using items and weapons with unique skills.

  • Over 85 different enemies.

  • Participate in optional events to obtain rare items.

Draco Knight

Draco Knight

The Game

Draco Knight is a 2D action-platformer which uses twin stick controls to provide an easy to learn but hard to master gameplay. Combat is exciting, fast paced and impactful, requiring both finesse and quick decision making skills. The art and animation of Draco Knight is done in pixel art form, which is reminiscent of games from the 90s.

Story

The land of Draconia has been at peace for decades since the Great War was fought, and yet now the kingdom is under threat from monsters which has never been encountered before. Currently, the kingdom still holds mainly due to the might of the Draco Knights, great and noble warriors who turned the tides of the Great War. Experience the tale of a lone knight who fights to reclaim a fortress lost to evil forces within the realm. Beat back the threat and discover the mysterious nature of the enemies that now beset the land.

Exploration

Delve into the realm of Draconia and discover hidden secrets which will aid the knight in his quest, and more importantly identify the source of the monsters that is invading the realm of Draconia.

Engage oppressive and menacing foes

Bosses are designed to be brutal and challenging, but perhaps with some ingenuity and finesse even the greatest of foes can be defeated.
