Hermes: Tricks of Thanatos

Hermes: Tricks of Thanatos

Foi muito divertido, vou jogar de novo em outro modo. Hermes ficava sentado lá enquanto os Minions faziam tudo e Apolo ganhava a fama. Toda a trama de mitologia também muito legal. Nem senti as horas passando.

Monolithic

Monolithic

So I really do like the idea of this game, and I did have a lot of fun playing it!

However I think the tutorial should be a little expanded? I still don’t quite understand how capturing the cities work and I played a few rounds with a friend.

I wish the sandbox had monoliths to fight so I could practice there, and I think it would be helpful if we could pick the Monoliths we’re using in the sandbox mode so that we could practice them against others.

Sometimes when you play the tutorial it freezes up and doesn’t actually play, but that can be remedied by closing the game and opening it again.

I recommend this game only because it is free. it seems like the game needs a little bug squashing and there is no single player. HOWEVER, I like the idea of it, the UI works, the art looks good, and the music is great! Here are some videos of gameplay and a broken tutorial:

https://youtu.be/s5ksiG8g-nA

https://youtu.be/FR0x98X5YxY

Without multiplayer, there is not much to sink your teeth into, especially considering that the tutorial broke on the second “playthrough”. I would not suggest getting your hopes up for this until the player base expands or you have friends who are interested in playing.

Nerthus: Einar’s Fate

This game has a lot of potential, only about 30 mins long or so but this is still early access! the mechanics and character movement are very fluid, level design is pretty cool as well, Go ahead give it a try! ITS FUN

Fun little game, really simple gameplay and pretty short in length, but not too bad!

The achievements didn’t work for me though, I didn’t get a single one of them after completing the Story Mode…

If you need to “waste” 5-10 minutes, give it a try!

Rise of the Argonauts

Rise of the Argonauts

Rise of the Argonauts is a game that gets very little notice today. You play as Jason of Iolcus, king of ancient myth, whose wife Alceme is murdered by nefarious assassins. Instead of accepting her death, Jason sets out upon a journey across Greece in search of the one artifact that is reputedly able to reverse death: the Golden Fleece. Unique setting, fair graphics (Unreal 3), average voice-acting, good combat, and a fabulous soundtrack make this a niche classic.

After the death of Alceme at the beginning, Jason must venture to several places, looking for clues to the location of the Golden Fleece. Three of these locations – Mycenae, Kythra, and Saria - can be visited in any order, so there is the possibility to take different squad-mates with you depending on where you visit first (you can take two for a party size of three). After everyone has been gathered, you have the location of the Golden Fleece, and proceed linearly to the end of the game. The areas and levels themselves are large, but not very open. Not that there would have been anything gained by a sandbox design; but the levels generally feel narrow and restricted, save for the wide open arenas where the fighting occurs.

It is an interesting take on the Greek myths and an excellent action-rpg. It doesn’t retell the stories of the characters we know from the Greek myths, but instead weaves a new tale that showcases those legends. It’s very much the Greek Mythos version of Jade Empire.

You begin the game as King Jason of Iolcus. He sails the seas on the Argo, a large mechanical ship, and in the course of adventuring acquires new party and crew members (the Argonauts of the title). Be aware: the first 20-30 mins of the game is pretty bad, but once you speak to the gods, gain their boons and get to the Argo, the game gets progressively better.

The Fold: Ingression

The Fold: Ingression

Developed solely by one of the devs on Through the Woods - introducing a first person thriller adventure with worlds inspired by the Norse people, old Norwegian legends and horror elements from the Lovecraft universe. Follow the dark story of Amund Vreim as he explores worlds, old and new.

Norwegian Amund Vreim is a part time exterminator and has received his first assignment at Eikherad stave church in Telemark, Norway. Through curious exploration and mysterious obstacles he finds himself in increasingly strange situations and quickly learns that he’s not alone, nor is the job as relaxed as first expected. The massive structure dates back to the end of the viking age and both church and surrounding areas hold many secrets.

It’s a relatively linear game, following a main story, but with several outcomes and variations to the story and environments. The story is based on old Norwegian stories, Norse mythology and traditions with horror elements inspired by the Lovecraft universe. ‘Ingression’ is the first installment in the ‘The Fold’ universe and will take the player on an introduction to those they call ‘The Fold’ and their mysterious ancient worlds.

Cube Land Arena

Cube Land Arena

This game has discusting GUI, awful music, putrid graphics. The game is trash. It was made in 10 minutes in a free Unity knockoff and you should stay away from this garbage. I had more fun in the main menu then the game itself…

You have no idea how hard I laughed at this game.

You have to learn the controls by yourself because, as far as I played, no tutorial was there to help me.

I glitched in a mountain and couldn’t leave there, but I could beat level 1 glitched. It was really funny.

I think this game can be great, realizing my mistakes trought gameplay was fun.

The graphics bother me a little, but, nice tower defense game.

Ethos 2: Fall Of Empires

Ethos 2: Fall Of Empires

Carve Your Own Path

Ethos 2: Fall Of Empires is a Historical RPG where every single decision you make affects your journey. Abilities, upgrades, weapons, interactions, quests, the atmosphere, and much more, are all affected by the actions and moral decisions you make within the game.

Become a tyrant, a hero, a lone wolf, or many other archetypes, the choice is yours!

The Story

The game takes place in the year 1453. You play as Constantine XI Palaiologos, the last Emperor of the Byzantine Empire. Your once great city of Constantinople has fallen into the hands of the Ottomans and your goal is to take it back.

You can do this by gathering troops/equipment/allies from leaders of other nearby nations in Egypt, the Balkans, The Middle East, and more! OR you can also choose to overthrow the leaders of other nations, and take their nations by force!

You may also attempt to take back Constantinople by making yourself an extremely powerful one-man-army, and attempt to take the city by yourself whenever you are ready. This can be through many means such as assassination of Mehmed the Conqueror, or by facing the entire Ottoman army by yourself.

Style

The game is very non-linear. Meaning that you can technically attempt to finish the final quest very early on in the game. Its an open-world game that doesn’t place a limit on exploration.

Consequences

Want to murder a main character that you need to complete a quest? Go for it. But expect there to be consequences. Want to become a pacifist and try to not harm anyone ever? Go for it. But expect there to be consequences.

Why This Game Is Being Made

As a massive RPG-fan, I was very tired of many AAA games giving you the illusion of ‘your decisions matter’. Because at the end of the day, choices in many AAA games pretty much only affected how much of a discount you could get at a merchants shop, or how some NPC’s react to you when you walk by.

I really want choices to matter in games. And that’s why this game is being made.

Saying that, this is a passion project for myself, and no one should expect this to be a AAA title. But hopefully it could be a really fun indie game that people can replay and have fun with :)

Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2

You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/H0tCFSIIXAo

This is an about 10 minute long, meditative experience through the Peruvian Andes Mountains. Where you basically teleport up a quick climb, see the scenic views, then sit at a campfire. There’s a narrator saying a prayer to the fire in English. You can also draw during this and then send your painting to the fire. That’s it basically.

Experience is running on the Unreal Engine. I was getting variable frame rates from 90 to frame rates in the 40s fps. The visuals were just okay and something that would be fine in a free to play experience. The ambient sounds were also just okay. While the narration was good and the musical score, that doesn’t exactly amount to a premium experience. There’s only teleport for the locomotion and the locomotion was not smooth (as it was difficult to turn in the direction you wanted).

Real player with 0.4 hrs in game

Empowering meditative experience, highly recommended! Either if you are a an experienced or beginner meditator.

This 10-15min experience delves you into the visually-stunning site of Machu Pichu, where you follow a trail alongside a beautiful voice that guides you. The sun sets alongside the walk, creating delightful light effects. This visually rich experience guides you to release your fears and envision the life that you want.

Although some people may consider the experience short, the power of this piece stands on the intention you put on it. It is not about quantity of scenarios, it is about your sincerity when setting your intentions in front of the fire, to release what you don´t need and bring about the life that you envision.
