ZpellCatz: Pumpkin Prologue
Combat and movement are far too slow for a mouse and keyboard control scheme like this. I understand you can upgrade your equipment and become faster, but that still doesn’t mean anything when both you and your enemies have to come to a complete stop to attack. Honestly, the slow combat and movement feel forced to just to make it more of a grind. I don;t expect a lot of people are going to want to download or buy the full version if the combat is this slow.

The Curse Of Yendor
True roguelikes are hard to find, especially the ones that are commercialized and sold on Steam. The Curse of Yendor is one of these rare ones. Developed by IBOLOGY LLC (Bob Saunders), the same guy behind the cult classic Approaching Infinity , The Curse of Yendor offers a good experience for both newcomers and veterans of the roguelike genre, providing both the traditional YASD experience as well easier difficulty levels and the possibility to disable permadeath, if you wanna play it like a regular RPG.

Bought Curse of Yendor on a lark with all this extra cash I’ve got now that Marvel Heroes doesn’t want my money any more (BUE bleh).
Yendor is a turn-based rogue-a-like with charming early Ultima graphics. Under the retro hood is a lot of gaming goodness. Besides the usual monsters, loot, vendors, keys and puzzles, there are some surprises.
The procedural, modifiable, tile-based terrain system is what sold me on getting CoY. If you get a pick you can chop through stone walls, or take them down with an earthquake spell. You can shoot thorugh barred windows. You can freze water. Reeds block missiles, but if you cast fireballs in reeds, you can catch yourself on fire. Run away! Destroying the right tiles will weaken the big boss later in the game. I’d love to see a game with triple the variable terrain types as CoY, but for now, this is a lot of fun.

Cavyrn
Hello,
I like the game. At the beginning i had some problems with the tutorial because i read it 5 times false. But now the game makes fun and it’s not so easy. When you die you are dead and need to start a new world. Also I like the retro look.
What i wish:

Dungeon Siege II
Dungeon Siege is a series of action-RPG, where every chapter feels very distinct from others. You can see the evolution, but there is so much diversity, that people who like DS1 may be strongly against DS2, DS2 fans might be opposing DS1 and DS3… At least, it is not that hot, as “apple vs. droid” holywar now.
Dungeon Siege II made much to expand all that was good in the DS I - the system of character development, an interesting setting of fallen and reshaping empires - just like from known history, only with magic, demons, and angels… To add pathos and glory, you know.

Update 04-24-18:
Another special thanks goes to Killah not just for providing us the the expansions to DS2 & DS1 but also fixing the no mouse cursor issue in fullscreen and not being able to play the DS2 Broken World expansion in 1366x768. It is awesome to have someone work so hard to keep this legendary title running on newer systems.
I still own the physical Deluxe Edition of this DSI & DSII and was very excited to see them reach steam so that I can access and install it no matter where I might be in the world. I have probably put roughly 3k hours or more into this game alone.

Kingdomfall
Imagine yourself in a world with mighty battles and powerful magic, where deadly fireballs fly over your head burning everything to a complete hell. Where drakkars full of soldiers attack from the sea, giant trebuchets destroy castle walls, burying many warriors under the debris. All of that while the are simple soldiers, going through mud, fire, blood, trying to fight, survive and even win the battle. You are one of those soldiers. That’s what the Kingdomfall is about.
One of the most advanced player-skill based combat system which consists of simple attacks, strong attacks, dodges, counter-attacks, shield strikes, many types of melee and ranged weapons, from bows to deadly magic - it is designed to not limit you in any possible way, if you’re skilled enough you will have you’re chance to win.
IMPORTANT NOTE The game right now is in early access and will include only part of the future features to ensure everything works as expected. You can take a look at how most of the upcoming features may potentially work on the official YouTube page. They will be moved to the release version one by one when ready. Because of that the game will be available here at half price until full release.
Silverfall
An amazing RPG. A few glitches that i’ve encountered : the teleport system being unstable and while teleporting to a specific location you can wake up in a totally different place, also there are some map glithes when enemies, your companions or even you can get stuck in certain spots being unable to move, though this can be fixed just with restarting the game. Despite of this insignifiant “problems” i found this game to be extremely entertaining. A lot of quest to be done, a wide variety of items, a lot of companions to choose from, who help you in your journey and in the meantime by the answers you give them to their question you can influence the attitude they will have towards you, if your companion is a woman you can even get her in love with you. It is pretty important in Silverfall that you chose right from the start if you want to go the technology or the nature path. If you do quests of the opposing faction you lose points with yours and that means you can’t use your best armor and maybe even some skills anymore. So, before starting playing the game i would recommend finding some external info about the quest for each side. to keep track of what you should and shouldn’t do. I had a great time playing it, and now i’m looking foward to Earth Awakening expansion.

Silverfall is what you call a Diablo clone. There are some great examples of such games, like Torchlight, Titan Quest, Grim Dawn, etc., but for some reason for me Silverfall is the best, i’d say this game is really underrated and is even hidden gem of genre.
Well, this review won’t be very long, i will just point out what i really liked about this game. It’s combination of little good things, which make this game really fun to play.
For pros I’ll start with… graphics. This game actually looks amazing, it uses cell shading technology (yeah, before our favourite The Walking Dead game and Borderlands), and because of that all scenery and character models look really unique and cool. Sound effects and OST are amazing too, they add great deal to the atmosphere of the game.

Three Heroes
Uncertain why are there so many short and negative reviews,
complaints about the game crashing, unable to start etc…
Had no problem at all.
Gameplay is rather smooth and fluid.
Graphics are bright, colourful and well drawn.
Dialogues and short-scenes are actually well done and entertaining.
Switching between campanions to utilize the playstyle in different situation or encounters.
Stationing the meleer behind a bush, using the archer to shoot the enemy archer and lure the others towards the bush for the meleer to engage.

I really wanted to give this game a chance. But I simply couldn’t. While the graphics are…cute, everything else is sub-par. The combat system is clunky and arbitrary (random chance determines whether you land a hit for a pixel of the enemy’s health or if you ragdoll them in one strike, or if you are the archer you could find yourself in a situation where you’d be shooting 10 arrows at a stationary target before ever hitting the mark - the trajectory is random). The quests are cookiecutter and on the annoying side - from bring ten mosquito wings to escort the (suicidal) peasant most are just lazy. There are skills, but only a few of them are actually reliable to any degree…And then there’s the bugs…Oh the bugs. From the peasant you’re escorting dropping through the ground to oblivion (and mission fail) to random crashes this game has it all. And then there’s Dobrynya…The pole vaulting hero…who for somer reason goes completely ragdoll limp(presuumably from fear) when you, well, pole vault. Which would be tons of fun…if it didnt cause him to slide feebly off the side of that island or log you werre trying to reach, causing mission fail.
