Lifeflame Compendium

Lifeflame Compendium

Lifeflame Compendium is a WarBreedFarm RPG. These 3 main aspects of the game co-exist in an equilibrium that revolves around Lifeflame.

Lifeflame is a resource that enables entities to live, and is therefore the main driver for all creatures that want to stay alive. Players and NPCs alike gain Lifeflame by eating and drinking, herbivores start by foraging while carnivores must rely on hunting.

Both plants and animals age and then breed, passing on their traits to their descendants and giving way for the next generation.

With time, farming becomes the most efficient way to produce food, and together with crafting, civilization begins to develop to more advanced stages.

Prosperity, however, always precedes times of war, especially when resources grow plenty on one side and scarce on the other, giving rise to great clashes of swords and magic.

You will come to life onto this interconnected world, learn how to harness its resources and thrive in moments of peace, war, passion, mystery, adventure and romance!

If wanted to get because cheaper then other games on steam not $35 I recommend you get it either on sale or regular price.

Game itself was not bad.

I am not sure if they character customization yet - I like to see that.

Not sure if avatar evolves or levels up like if you pick a race that sort thing.

Like: I think farming aspects are similar to real life/ foraging/beating up monsters.

Graphics reminds of pixel art graphics if weren’t for mobs being different and regions.

Relationships improve on help, item unlock, new recipe.

Always heard about the boardgame but never had the chance to play it and now that i did I can see why it’s so popular!

The DA is very well done: plays smooth, good sfx, AI feels solid (haven’t tried Hard yet though). The game has already -I think?- all of the the expansions available that can be played in a 1v1 against AI or with another player online.

I must say this is very polished already for being EA for less than two weeks!

As per how stability goes, I played 3 games with a friend yesterday and we only got two freezes/crashes but we could keep playing by simply restarting the game: no game-breaking bugs found yet.

A very faithful adaptation of the famous evolutionary card game. The first one that found the concept of deckbuilding during the game. Many other games followed this inspiration, such as Star Realms, Ascension, War of Omens, for the main ones. If you know of any others, please respond.

This is a concept not to be confused with these two:

  • Deckbuilding before the game, the player builds a deck (example: Magic the Gathering).

  • Deckbuilding during the game, without being able to swap cards, during a quest (example: Slay the spire).

Very cute game. Nice graphics and music.

The game looks easy to play, but the mission is more challenging for me, especially killing evil flowers.

The idea of a flying pig is fun and I like it.

The controls area little laggy, but once the dev has that down to pat, i reckon it will be a fairly good game. For the price i would recommend it. It slants towards using a controller, so bear that in mind. But cute art style, good concept, look forward to seeing how it progresses

About Bountiful Life

Bountiful Life is the next step in Farming & Life Simulator gaming. You’ve been tasked with the responsibility of taking over an abandoned rinky-dink farm. Maintain a source of income, create wholesome relationships with your friends and family, and discover yourself within Jubilee Village. Your time in Jubilee revolves around the three core aspects of life; your work, your friends and family, and your connection with the world.

Work - As the newest farmer, and member of Jubilee, you have a personal obligation to rejuvenate the farmland back to its former glory. Utilize a wide range of forms of labor such as the husbandry of farming crops and raising livestock, foraging, fishing, mining, and other mechanics.

Friends/Family - Jubilee is home to over 30 unique villagers who all have their own personalities, hopes, and dreams. Getting to know the villagers better can grow into close friendships enjoyed over bonding activities and common interests. Investing time into these relationships can lead to a fruitful outcome, such as marriage. You then have the option to raise or adopt children.

Your Place in the World- An integral part of Bountiful Life’s story is determining how connected you are to the world around you. Explore the history of the Jubilee Village, its people, their myths, and their legends. Learn about the fate of the old spirits that once inhabited the lands of Jubilee, where they went, and how you’re connected to them; or advance the research and technologies to bring Jubilee Village to a new modern age.

Full Release Features:

Co-Op! - Play with up to a group of four players, with full cross-platform cross-compatibility support.

Farming, Fishing, and Foraging, Oh My! - Manage your own farm and create a steady source of income. Grow crops, raise cattle, catch fish, and forage forests at your own pace.

Upgrades, People, Upgrades! - Advance your tools and skills to make your work more efficient and have longer-lasting stamina throughout the day.

Find Yourself! - Find yourself in Jubilee Village by exploring the world around you and decide where you fit in this new land.

Mine All Day! - Discover new gems and ore to use for tool upgrades and jewelry, or make strides in scientific advancements by donating your finds to the Village’s Observatory. Just don’t mine at night or dig straight down.

Relationships! - Each villager has their own unique lifestyle and personality. Get to know them better by talking with them each day, learning about their interest. Soon, you may find yourself in a blossoming relationship with your favorite villager.

Let the Games Begin! - Jubilee Village hosts multiple festivals each month. Participate in engaging mini-games that test and hone your skills, and learn about the lore behind each festival.

Explore! - Get lost in Jubilee Village’s forests, stumble down through the mines, frolic through the fields, or feel the sand on your feet at the beach. There’s no limit to what you’ll find when you explore Jubilee.

Music! - Hours of original, professionally made music tailored to every setting and environment you’ll come across.

Controller Support! - Full support for generic, xbox, and playstation controllers.

What Makes Bountiful Life Unique?

Co-Op - Alcinous Studios is avoiding the pitfall of making their game single-player from the beginning. Bountiful Life is being developed with the end-goal of bringing you a cross-platform, co-op experience tailored to all mediums.

Artstyle - We have implemented a new standard in the creative direction of Farming and Life Simulators. The vibrant, stylized environment with stunning characters and precise attention to detail creates a more immersive atmosphere in the Village bringing our characters and the world around them to life.

Best Friend Mechanic - Romance is not the only reason to pursue relationships with others. In Bountiful Life, players can also unlock special events and dialogue that lead them to maintain a unique best friend relationship with one villager. Your best friend might even have an influence over your child! So choose carefully!

Mini-Games - Players will use engaging mini-games to complete part-time jobs, win festivals, fish, and cook.

Re:Legend

monster taming homesteading RPG

first off; the monster taming: monsters in this game are called ‘magnus’ which isnt a name that rolls off the tongue; theyre seemingly called magnus after the developers

every magnus you come across (except bosses) can be tamed; to tame them you need to feed them something they like (land crops, aqua crops, meat, fish, ore, lumber… and theres a couple of odd ones; like nerlicts are cannibals); whilst every magnus has a favourite food you dont need that to tame them (shroomies favourite food is rubrum logs; but you can feed it any logs to tame it)… once theyve been fed enough you can interract with them and a minigame occurs (theres some scaling to this to try and prevent you from getting high level magnus too early)

Hi,

I have played this game for a little under a week. While the game is still in early access, the devs have posted news about getting the game to a release soon thus, this review is mainly for their use and hopefully will allow them to fix some issues that I have found.

1. Gardening: The seed-plant pricing ratio becomes ridiculous immediately after the first spring in the game. The cost for the seed is almost equal to or significantly greater than the cost of the fully grown fruit yield. The gardening mechanic is effectively broken, as seeds often only give 1 fruit per grown seed, and then you have to buy more seeds. Half of the seeds are priced significantly more than the cost of the grown fruit, these are seeds that give fruit regularly(~3 days) per grown plant seed, but the cost is often greater than 10:1 and the entire season’s growth will just cover the cost of the seed in the first place. There seems to be no other method of acquiring seed other than the shop, as grown plants do not yield seeds for garden expansion or selling.

Kynseed

Kynseed

It’s good so far.

Updated for ‘Hag & Slash’ Update

Fair Warning:: There are dark themes, and some mature references in this game.

Pros:

Extremely Ambitious game:

Kynseed is a LIFE SIM, not just a farming sim. the goal of this game is to give the player options to specialize in any available niches of the character’s life if the player wants to, with each being in-depth in their own stepping stones. This includes farming, business owning, combat, domestic life, animal breeding, crafting, player-character/spouse/worker/offspring skill and stat improving for even better experiences in those areas, etc. They’re implementing a lot of in-depth and unique features for each (check their roadmap in the official site, and the Discord.)

I’ve put a lot of hours into this game (especially for being an early access title), so it’s pretty apparent that I would recommend it.

I’ve read through some negative reviews and I can see where they’re coming from with some things, but I think it’s entirely accurate to say that Kynseed is worth the price. If you’re wondering whether you can get $10 worth of content, I’d say yes! The game’s value will increase with time, so I think it’s worthwhile to get it while it is so cheap- and you’ll have the added advantage of already having progressed through some major early events and having hoarded resources.

Absolutely NOT worth more than $5.00 in its current state. Right now they are charging $22.00 for it. Don’t reward the kind of people who rip people off like this if you care about the future. Their focus seems to have been to create a game with graphics that will look nice in still clips (screen shots) which, upon purchase, has almost no actual content.

There are mods created by regular steam users for other games that offer more content than this entire game. You can throw soda cans and other absolutely pointless “Easter eggs”. Apparently they’ve implemented features like this rather than worked on the two systems which are obviously the most important aspects of the game: A realistic simulator of plant growth and genetics and a realistic trade and economic system that consists of anything more than a couple of shops, all located on a street in the middle of nowhere which your character can visit.
