‘Mobile Soldiers: Plastic Army’ is a captivating, yet uncomplicated 3D experience, bringing the childhood table-top game to the world of mobile gaming. A brain game, it requires careful strategy and tactics.

You are a military leader and must command your troops to conquer your enemies over a series of combat situations. Your objective is to defeat your opponent with an army of soldiers - rifleman, gunner, grenadier and rocket-man. Use your army men to secure victory, with play over a set of standard, and premium, maps.

The rules are simple, but you will need to use your brain, and employ strategy and tactics, in order to be successful. It’s a brain game and, like chess, easy to understand the rules, but difficult to master. Each combat soldier has individual strengths and weaknesses, so use strategic thinking when facing-off against your opponent.

Carry your army to victory over a series of Campaigns against an intelligent AI player. Once you’ve taken control of a map in Campaigns, engage in Match Play against up to three opponents. Opponents in Match Play can be AI or human - in pass-to-play style.

‘Mobile Soldiers: Plastic Army’ allows you to select a number of game options, like permitted unit types, game modes - Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing, and Maintain Morale.

Capture the Flag

Capture flags to gain more resources to spend on deployment.

More end-game rewards with more flags captured.

The most popular game mode.

Last Man Standing

There are no flags; start off with a fixed number of units.

Win by defeating all of your opponents’ units.

Maintain Morale

Capture the Flag with a twist.

Think and act quickly before your team’s morale is depleted.

Gain experience, in the form of Command Points, with each game you play. Use them to unlock new types of soldiers, and premium maps, and compete on a global leader-board.

The battle has begun and you must be prepared. Easy to learn, difficult to master – can you be triumphant?

Short but mostly alright defense game

Every now and then I give a shot for a game that looks pretty bad for some reason. For this one, it was very plain looking achievements: each of them just “shoot X arrows”. The defending archer shoots them automatically. In other words, you get them by passing time in the game.

So I expected this to be bad. It was okay instead! For a €0.50 it’s just barely recommendable if you want a silly casual game and some achievements.

One of those games that confirms what I’ve always thought… If I like the basic gameplay, then I’ll keep on returning to that game. I find this game addictive. Apart from one game to try it, I haven’t bothered with the Classic mode. I just play Commanders.

Including the DLC there are seven commanders and eight maps (eight including the classic square map). Each commander has the same three special abilities (Mine, Sonar, Bomb), plus one ability unique to that commander. To use those abilities you need points. You automatically gain two points at the start of each round, plus one point for each occasion one of your ships is struck by your opponent. Each commander has some differently shaped ships. The game keeps a record of your stats., and there are always missions (eg Win two games in a row) that allow you to level up. Levelling up doesn’t actually change the gameplay in any way, but it is something else to aim for.

BeeFense BeeMastered

BeeFense BeeMastered

(I got this game free because I have the original beefense)

Beefense is a rts/ td hybrid. You send your bees to harvest resources in between waves. There are 4 resources- pollen, nectar, water, and honeydew.

Pollen- Money, used for building/ leveling up new towers and spawning new bees.

Nectar- Fuel. If it runs out, your bees will perform poorly.

Water- used to give towers a boost, improving firing rate, range, and I think damage.

Honeydew- Special Currency, used to unlock tower upgrades, beesearch, free caged bees, and buy ding balls and black ninja wasps.

Simple tower defense with a simple chummy plot. Having fun.

Downside….

Some things are not clear at all which leads to cons.

  1. Rolling Dungballs with mouse and keyboard. Even after finding thru a 3rd party, it takes alot of finesse to right click and drag the ball.

  2. After around the 15th mission, I had issues where I could select everything except my bees… Reboot problem sovled.

  3. At mission 25, game decided to tell me what to due in German. I failed. Rebooted game told me to destroy glow things in English. Still failed. Rebooted, and killed a enemy base and was able to advance.

Flying Soldiers

Flying Soldiers

Do you like war games? We offer you something new. Discover our unique and funny squad of bird soldiers. They are at your command. Become the best strategist and lead them to victory. Enjoy this entertaining avian conflict!

Not everything is as it seems in this fun game, because these “flying soldiers” can hardly glide a few inches and they don’t exactly have the abilities to go into battle. So, it’s no surprise that, with squads made up of these “characters”, they wouldn’t be able to get themselves out of the mess they’re in. Their only hope lies in your tactical skills to help them advance.

So you’ve read the description and now you’re down here in the comments trying to figure out what’s it all about. Click the video above to see some of the gameplay, mechanic and hear my thoughts on the game.

Cossack and Magic is side scrolling tower defense game that’ll having you, “Damn, they got me right in the Cossack.” The graphics are delightful, the gameplay is fun but the biggest thing here is the music. The soundtrack is a nonstop slapper from title to end. Each stage gets progressively harder but I found the difficulty level spiked going in to stage four of the campaign. I was able to beat level 3 with only hiring two Cossacks but wasn’t able to get out of the gates in level four before being bombarded by the enemy troops.

Tankex

Tankex

This game is a nice take on the classic Battle City from the old NES days. A one map, 4 teams of 2 tanks, 3D labyrinth where you play until you get 30 kills. It’s actually pretty addicting and has a lot of potential but there are a few things that need addressing:

  • The game desperately needs a better room creating system where you can easily play with other people. There are currently no people online at any time but even if there were - I didn’t find a way to create or join a specific room to play with your friends and not just random people. This is the biggest issue that needs addressing as the game would benefit immensely from the existence of a developed multiplayer system.

Chickens Madness

Chickens Madness

Bought this looking for something fun to play with the 4 yo in front of the TV. Pretty clunky and unfinished to begin with, the lastest update has tightened up some problems with the controls and added a bunch of game modes. The kid loves it - there’s some charm to the game, but a couple of things sour it.

1. The violence - one mini game involves squashing baby chicks into bloody spots - not really enjoyable and adds a nasty tinge to the otherwise family friendly fun, sure you can skip/remove from the list but wouldn’t miss it if it was removed.

Really nice, classic game to play with friends. It doesn’t get bored because there are so many customizations that you can add and goof around with a opponent.

The best part for me is the ability to get rewarded with a special weapon during fight, it can really change the outcome of the game.

Overall really nice, smooth, short game that everyone knows how to play.
