Pressure Overdrive

Pressure Overdrive

Love the Game!

Pros:

  1. Artwork/graphics

  2. Replay of levels (I enjoy the replayabilty and improving my gold haul)

  3. Various combinations to upgrade your buggy & 3-levels per upgrade.

  4. Smooth game-play

  5. Achivements are not impossible (nor luck based).

FAVORITE POWER-UP: Love Bug.

  • Honorable mention: double Damage

Cons:

  1. In Keyboard/mouse-mode the keyboard controls are very responsive. You need to get used to maneuvering the buggy.

  2. Cursor: Can’t change the cursor color or shape

  3. Power-up: The drops type (rapid fire, double damage, unstopable, Love Bug, etc) seem to be random (but maybe I don’t know how to get the drop to be what I want)

Note: This review is sort of a comparison to first Pressure game.

I expected this to be a continuation of the story, however this seems to be a remake (so far, all the cut-scenes are the same)

Game is significally more complex. Different upgrades to different things. Before you could simply upgrade the Buggy, max weapons and rampage through levels. This game makes sure you undertand what you need in which levels, as different slots do different things and the gameplay can vary a lot depending how you upgrade your buggy.

Death Ray Manta SE

Death Ray Manta SE

Death Ray Manta is a game wherein you steer a techno-manta through a series of increasingly difficult techno-arenas, firing rainbows at brightly colored enemies and collecting short-lived “gems”. Enemies explode in words of encouragement when they are shot; an uplifting 80’s synth music pulses in the background; prompts flash things like “You’re brilliant!” and “Strong Fish! Beautiful Fish!” in the brief moments between levels.

The whole thing is reminiscent of a PSX-era shooter like Nitrous Oxide: Bright, colorful, simple, and innocently weird.

Very cool little game!

It has a great vibe, although it wasn’t very well communicated, from the start.

Death Ray Manta is a very hippie shoot ‘em up game. There are no leaderboards and no achievements, meaning you can only compete with yourself! There’s also a score cap, which may or may not be your own objective during your time.

The game has 32 levels, each with a special collectible that adds a point to your score. The levels get progressively harder and more complex, introducing several subtly different enemies to keep things interesting.

Grapple

Grapple

Grapple is a parkour game built for speedrunning. You’re tasked to reach the end of the level only with the aid of a grappling hook & glider. The game also features an online racing mode! The game has amassed a small speed-running community. Level 2 in particular was a favorite among speedrunners due to the shortcuts it featured

Riverbond

Riverbond

The overall presentation is great. Its fun with a good atmosphere that is very upbeat. The sound compliments the game. The only problem with a game as polished as this it needs a variety of game modes beyond the levels. Maybe I haven’t unlocked them yet, I don’t know. I have only played half way through the game. I know i could play the same level over and over again. But may be a local/online pvp free for all or some player vs environment mode like Boss Battle etc. Some RPG elements possibly as well. I’m hoping DLCs in the future will add to what I think is already an awesome game and worth every penny as far as I’m concerned..

Zap Blastum: Galactic Tactics

Zap Blastum: Galactic Tactics

You are Zap, an alien who has always dreamed of saving the galaxy. When robots invade your planet, you’re super-psyched and ready for anything! Zap Blastum caters to both hardcore and casual gamers with its intuitive cover shooter gameplay, optional mouse controls, and action-packed tactical combat.

SIMPLE CONTROLS

Streamlined controls bring cover shooter gameplay to anyone who can use a mouse – without losing any depth. Snap into cover and automatically lean around corners while shooting. Even on a gamepad, just select a target and lock on – we’ve removed aiming from the equation.

WARM, COLORFUL, EXPLODE-Y

This is a shooter that’s not afraid to be cheerful. Not everyone’s into dark and gritty space marines. Zap doesn’t fit the stereotype. The robots will never know what hit ‘em!

STORY

The game explores impostor syndrome: the tendency to attribute our earned success to luck or deception. Deep down, Zap is haunted by self doubt, and the robots know how to take advantage of it. In a way, your mission is an internal one. You can be a hero. Don’t listen to the voices that say “No.”

  • Explore 20 levels that span across 5 planets.

  • Enjoy an original soundtrack that mixes orchestral, rock, and dubstep genres.

  • Fight 10+ types of robot enemies.

  • Rack up huge points in the online leaderboards and earn big rewards for combos and streaks.

  • Unlock new features to discover more secrets.

  • Play in full screen or in a small window. Take a break from your busy day and shoot some robots.

  • Save the galaxy with a friend in local co-op!

Paint Chips

Paint Chips

Paint Chips is a really enjoyable game! I really love the cute character customization such as the many awesome hairstyles, hats, accessories, clothes, and pets that are unlockable! You are able to purchase them with chips, which is the in game currency that you can earn the more that you play! It’s nice to also have the option to purchase the cosmetic items that I really want immediately with real money purchasable bukkits as well, but not be forced to pay for everything because I can earn them with time and dedication to the game.

Hello! To anyone who reads this, I hope that you try out this game and enjoy it as much as I do!

I started playing on June 17th and so far, I have reportedly 149 hours on record. It has been an enjoyable game that I can play on my windows or macOS devices with a lovely community, my friends, family, and people from across the world! While there is only a North American server right now, I have played with players from Brazil, Germany, Russia, Philippines, and more! My cousins and others that I have brought to the game have enjoyed it so far, so I would consider it an all-ages kind of game that you can bring up to eight players (4v4) into matches as of now! I do have some in-game friends that have now become my irl friends as well, so I recommend just taking the chance to download the game!

Pop’s

Pop’s

‘Pop’s’ is a fun little arcade stall style shooter in which you have to shoot various toys with a colour corresponding ball. Set in a funfair style setting the graphics are bright and colourful keeping with the fun theme. The good news is the gameplay is also fun and very simple to get into (despite the long, drawn-out tutorial). Provided you are going to play this at a VR party with friends or you just enjoy chasing your own score you will get your money’s worth there, but in truth, there really isn’t a lot of content. Sure, its not original and you don’t get a lot for your money, but its a bit of fun for a small price and that is good enough for me.
